Another possessor of the strange proportions many in this world had, Vice Admiral Momonga was over eight feet tall, something that was exemplified by the verticle blue and white stripes of his buttoned-up uniform. He had a black mohawk but instead of standing up, the mohawk was styled into a top-knot on the back of his head. He also had a mustache that looked like the pointed hands of a clock, facing the 4 o'clock and 8 o'clock positions. Wrinkles formed from a perpetual scowl covered his face and it was obvious to anyone that he did not want to do this.

Rayleigh had yesterday's paper in hand as he looked over the various stories and made further attempts to make the Ship Biscuits he was served edible. Though the wooden Navel vessel had an ice room that worked as a fridge, Rayleigh, as a guest, was only served the bare-boned basics of preserves that would not be missed. Ship biscuits were essentially pieces of bread that had been slowly baked to the point they had zero moisture. This gave them a very long shelf life against mold but also made the act of consuming and digesting them a challenge. So far the best way he'd found was dipping it into a cup of grape juice and letting it get a bit soggy before munching it down. - Derpy_Bird20dCommented"How long do you think it will take for them to notice that we can all hear them?" you already mentioned in an earlier paragraph that javik has a damaged Omni tool from extensive cryo sleep so he cant't translate with it
By the way, the omni tool served as a translator too, but Javik had a damaged one thanks to not using it for thousands of years. That's why Samael used that old method of transferring the knowledge to the alien, as he knew beforehand what would happen. He would give the Prothean an omni-toll when he wakes up from his resting. - Derpy_Bird1mthCommented
this is an interesting start to a novel, I quite like the philosophical musings in the beginning of a man who know they should be dead but find they are very much alive. I also applaud the author on the idea of having him lose his "shnoz" when he got out of his crypt since the absence of a nose can symbolize both that he is now an imperfect being while at the same time undergoing a drastic transformation with no hope of changing back. (and that is my overly serious analysis of a crack fic as a joke.)
