almost forgot to add the shadow of the Mc is also sapient and can strengthen the Mc by layering over him or his weapons

the bare bones of it is the main character of shadow slave gains power from the enemies he kills through their shadows and can even gain familiar versions of them. It's more complicated in the actual novel but that should give you some idea of what the author is suggesting. Highly recommend reading Shadow Slave though it is really good.

I'm only rating 3 stars because I don't believe in 1 or 5 star reviews. This seems similar to the book My MCV and Doomsday yet is different enough to not be a rip-off and is quite enjoyable.

While I agree with you about the Persephone situation being fucked up, in most other mentions of hades in Greek mythology he is the least unpalatable god. Not like that really means much when it comes to the Greek pantheon but I still feel like it deserves pointing out. In most myths he features in he is portrayed as rather reasonable as long as he is treated respectfully, such as when he allowed Heracles(I will not call him Hercules when discussing Greek mythology damn it!) to take Cerberus for his labor or when he let Orpheus attempt to bring his dead wife out of the underworld. Sorry that this doesn’t relate to what you were reviewing about but I can’t help myself when discussions on Greek mythology pop up. TLDR: Greek mythology is fucked up and complicated.

I really love this book it’s well thought out and never feels rushed. My biggest complaint is also something I’m greatfull for, the slower releases. On one hand I want more as this story is amazing on the other I like the time put in to insure quality.

Anyone New to 40k i recomend looking up adeptus rediculous on youtube or a podcast app. They do a good job of sumerising the lore to get you up to speed with the factions and what you really need to know.

I think(been a while since ive checked) that witchers emoitions were dulled rather than suppressed. Geralt could still feel his emotions but they never got in the way of what he needed to do.

That plays more into how someone defines friendships. Someone with(or suffering from, not sure how to phrase it) sociopathy defines their relationships way differently than those without it.
