Yes. Go through the proper sequence of events and add your own twist/details to them. No one remembers a story that has the mc become op and solve every unanswered question/problem in 10 chapters.

“I see you boy” was a line in an old Harry Potter game that haunts me to this day. Enery time I got caught seaking the shop keeper would say it.

The rewrite is definitely better than The system version.
