exactly. It's such a frustrating trope of secret love target as presumably the person who saved them, even with unclear clues or coincidences, and faithfully sticking to the crush with no evidence. ofc, seeing a bloody rabbit leg is frightening after near drowning shock plus underage maturity/mind, but still annoyingly ridiculous to never discern with confidence who was one's saviour (or the related trope of stolen valour for someone else taking credit, either knowingly or unknowingly/unintentionally

Mo Yangyang assumed he had saved her from drowning. Since then, Mo Yangyang had been secretly in love with Xie Fengmian.

i find FL Su Meng an annoying character at times, mainly when she chooses to behave neurotic where she shouts for divorce but in next breath, acts all cozy purely for the sake of pissing off the vicious sister-in-law. sister-is-law is truly vile but giving inexplicable mixed signals to Wei Ting doesn't offer any redeeming character quality. wei ting was a neglectful husband so he deserves some karmic retribution but behaving like an unstable emotional wreck between cold hate and clingy sweetness isn't retribution, just lunacy

chapters 60-61 made me lose what good opinion of Yin Xun because she went from being a clever and self-aware FL to a comedic slapstick dolt over never cooking EVER before (despite living/studying alone overseas, may be she had hired help) to then attempt to 'impress' Fang Yao to her home-cooked meal? no, it wasn't funny and only felt moronic in the flow of the plot. may be author is trying to show someone can become epically foolish when they are aiming to woo someone (albeit, subtle wooing)? otherwise, I Yin Mo is very unlikeable as per her character design and it is very frustrating that her parents and family lack self-awareness of how they raised her to enhance her natural faults rather than try to mitigate or mute them for a balanced outlook . oh well, parenting is never easy & some turn out different from others in similar environments (which is why as much as baby/children can be so lovable, I abstain from procreating given the upbringing scars I still lick to heal - TMI, i know)

most grateful that this was a very short story. some moments/scenes are cute, some are pleasantly raunchy yet others are just meh. overall plot not great and various tools for convenience are not well thought that many holes/illogic to the point it is no longer enjoyable fiction. rush to conclude left a lot of loose ends but honestly if it didn't end, I would have dropped it. I feel nad rating writing quality when I have no idea if translation (as I believe this is not originally submitted as English work of literature) is a true representation of author's writing but there's quite a chance that it is. would not recommend.

i don't understand the high ratings but to each their own. for me, Jing Chen is such an awful excuse of a human who supposedly is smart & affluent yet can't uncover any if the truly pretentious deceptions by Bai Lian yet automatically believes the worst of truly innocent wife Su Wan. thus, all their interactions and relations are infuriating disturbing, and there's a side version happening with bestie XiaXia and her opressive paramour Chu Lin. i can't even feel sympathetic towards su wan anymore as she may have deep feelings for the man who turned out to be despicable but admits she struggles to truly split up for some veiled excuse that Grandpa Jing would suffer . he already agreed to it on the surface so whyyyyy persist when it's just harming yourself . mom-in-law Qin Lan seems great for having Su Wan's back but I presume Jing Chen is carbon copy of his dad Jing Shao with how that man treats his wife yet there's also a mysterious woman mentioned whom he is involved with. there's a line for benevolence or even whatever duty of responsibility, but may be only if you honestly look for the true facts of both sides instead of presuming. su wan starts to give up explaining after denying truthfully, yet blockhead Jing Chen is still blinded. and they grew up together so he somehow has no grasp of her character? or whether she is honest? it's far to awful and I can't trouble to give more specific analysis or examples of how troubling the character & plot design like some others have. if you just want agitating melodrama based on severely unstable interpersonal dynamics, then dive in. it brings shame to the concept of loyalty to marriage at the cost of self well-being

Well, it had some interesting moments though many more plot holes and illogical bits. Wouldn’t spend any real world money/coins on it but with fast passes and random free-to-read offer, was grateful it didn’t drag on for thousands of senseless chapters. The ending was slightly rushed but still acceptable overall. I’m still miffed Si Cheng accepted to lure a dangerous element to go ‘visit’ his convalescing older half brother through emotional blackmail by the vile Si Ling, and no closure on that aspect (he showed signs of guilt but never gave any warning or comment as he and recovering dead-beat dad Si Long got chased out).

The beginning of this chapter is worded weirdly as carryover dialogue from previous about her trying to be accepting he may have/does have a romantic past (as in history, start and end to be over) but he rants on as if she would accept him to keep a side piece mistress? Is this a flawed translation between 326/327 of the dialogue? It's a tricky relationship balance if either or both partners may have romantic history they cannot change and to cope with the present and future of being together, but for most of these melodramatic plots the history never stays in the past because its psychoticly obsessed delusional stalkers who never accept reality or so self-absorbed to be unwilling to condone failure/rejection.

not sure what happened to evil scientist who believed he extracted the power blood drop, but hopefully destroyed in the self-destruction if she expected the heinous & traitorous couple to have been caught in the aftermath. depends on possible plot twist by author later or not I expect

Unfortunately, her secret was still discovered by her two most trusted people, and they had inadvertently betrayed her.

True, there is another complete translation is out there in the web but from what I recall, it may not have been a confirmed authorized translation (i.e. allowed by copyright holder or publisher). I do remember it was a very good quality translation and I imagine it can be a grey area depending if money was earned or not and if a rights claim was issued (depending on legal jurisdiction or authority). Since WN is owned by Qidian and likely the original web-publisher of the source story, I imagine officially authorised translations would only be on WN for English version. Like many others, I may enjoy reading translation posted by others on different websites but I read with the knowledge that a fair portion are not authorised to translate/post or a few of them do note they attempted to get approval for a ‘fan translation’ ... so i still think this ‘trial’ novel may be the first official English version via Qidian and no clue if the prior translation was allowed by author but definitely a bunch of copycats posted on WN even with a quick search. I hope the other completed translation doesn’t suffer any adverse consequences and honestly wish WN could have approached to pay for all that work/effort already done rather than slowly release under current translator.

not disagreeing that this novel has shown up on WN much earlier, but I'm suspecting this may be the first official translation of the story while the others were basically pirating/plagiarising? i didn't do a search on WN to see, but I remember seeing before that the story was being uploaded by someone that made it appear like an original works (but the names/plot were same) and I can't recall but I may have reported it once, but didn't bother every time ...

Errr, did they not go harvest the crystal from that level7 zombie after a nearly fatal confrontation? Or, is it implying everything of the zombie was incinerated by lightning power? How'd they get out of the mental domain this time if the zombie was 1 level higher power than them or did it not create a mental domain like the prior near-death encounter?

Well, the ending was very abrupt and left an unsolved mystery about Jiang YiFan. Sure, it didn't drag for hundreds/thousands more chapters pointlessly at least but ending was very rushed to wrap up various loose ends but not completely explain how things came to be resolved besides 'because' and FL make arrangements in the dark/behind enemy's back while in plain sight (presumably through help of beast communications and her inner space)

Omg, the sweetness of this scene and if mtl is this level, why or how could the WN translators leave it out? Da heq .... Could it be an insanely similar but slightly different story, or maybe someone plagiarize plot for slight difference between versions? Regardless, thanks for your comment and will look forward to finding the raw instead (TL has many typos/errors, tho not horrendous but might as well go for mtl of raw to get all the goods ☺️😘)

Why is the translation so weird? A mole in the white of her eye? As in, her eye ball which has no skin/flesh where a mole could appear naturally? Earlier translation implied it was a mole near the corner of her eye as a 'tear drop' mole so perhaps it meant a mole close to the white of her eye? I'm no medical professional nor scientist, but my standard education level of science where I cannot recall what the white of your eye is called (no need to google as not significant matter) but am fairly certain a mole only appears on skin areas (or some cases grows, such as signs of skin cancer is growth of moles or a mole suddenly growing abnormally). Something to be called a mole but existing literally on the white of an eye would likely be something different, no clue if it may be benign or a sign of illness/disease ....

Altho ending was very jarringly abrupt, at least it wasn’t just dropped at some cliffhanger. Characters aren’t fleshed out much, most are unlikeable and even FL setup barely draws some sympathetic interest but not much else. The flaws of ML are inexplicable, not that I am disparaging any degree of mental illness but it is such extremes and illogical he only relies on treatment from someone with crush (thus ulterior motives) and then never balances with his so-called intelligence to ever realise how harmful he has treated his for the years at home?? Glad I didn’t spend real money to unlock ch (thankful there are free passes) and that it didn’t stretch hundreds of ch before cutting off life support

There were aspects I liked, but plot was not very deep and the ending seemed like a rushed wind-up (yet in some ways fitting so things didn't drag on for thousands of chapters but made introduction of various characters or situations really superfluous). Many clichés & inexplicable miracle science, but a short read. I only used free passes to unlock so if I paid coins, I would be seriously dissatisfied. Translation is not top notch either, more like massaged/editted of machine translation with little care to ensure proper gender pronouns or other spellings are contextual accurate (unless original source had same flaws, who knows)

I agree, how foolish to leave it to him to sign & bring it later rather than demand he sign on the spot to take it with her. But, these plots sometimes use the excuse of drawn out divorce process to have the couple reconcile (depressingly ... I hope she gets rid of him so he can wallow in regret for being gullible to others that he could not see how geniune and sincere his own wife was)

I accept others may have different opinion or perhaps they enjoy the melodrama enough to overlook flaws, but beyond plot holes (some i suspect could be poor translation but no way for me to discern) the FL is conceitedly softhearted even when time and again it puts her safety at risk (so of course, villains constantly have chances to attempt and pretty much manage to harm her). She is hardly ever self-protective or defensive in useful ways as she blatantly or conceitedly galavants without bodyguards despite being an heiress & repeated experiences of schemes/plots to harm even after she returns to her family. Also, seems the ones tasked to protect her in secret are pretty useless or just another plot hole (like how she forgets her prematurely born child after her own discharge from hospital, or the scene where she sipped her wine when previously she remembered to only have juice, tho I suspect translation flaw could be factor on that minor scene but there’s many more). Unclear flow of time setting as well.
