I guess, but I still think a guild would have more advantages. If he really wanted to build power and money a guild would be the best way. That way he can recruit more artisans to make money from. And with a guild he can build a solid backing that even if others tried to challenge him he could fight back. Cause I feel like being just a mercenary those second generation kids will look down own him and still try to oppress and challenge him. And even if gains some money from others hiring them, he can gain more with a guild trough his own people. Basically like having his own business. idk I just likes guild more, but choose what you already had it mind. I’m liking the story so far.

Giving hints about what might happen in the future can sometimes ruin a story since we are only going of what we know currently. that's why it feels forced for me.

I don't mind her going to revenge because of her pettiness. the problem is her being a life long enemy. if you had build a connections then it would make sense for her to be a life long enemy. but with only that it's forced at least currently. if you took out the life Ling enemy part and just let the story progress with more interactions between them the it would make more sense. but your the writer and I'm sure you have something in mind for the future.

if you want to do a Harem that's fine if the mc actually loves to women. but if your only doing it for the sex then this is just a r-18 novel and it will make it hard to get invested in the characters or actually Care. but that's just my opinion.

I really don't know how I feel about his school arc. it kind of feels like a side story and just a waste of time. like I don't see any benefit of staying there for than a few months to find some people with talents. any more and it's just a waste.

why were just talking like equals instantly, like did we forget one is a king and the other is a counts son. if u want to build there friendship do that later, but there should still be respect cause of the status difference.
