Interesting story but I had to drop it at chapter 21. The way that jared could have realised his shortcoming could have been written better instead of that forced and cringe emotional moment. Other than that it's pretty good.

Why is it that when it comes to novel like this, the mc's path are always controlled by fate or any random shit. There's always gotta be some sort of unintended consequences. The mc would also be riddled with so much emotional baggages that it made me cringe. I'm done.
