Loved the novel and read it all (with coins), kinda liked the old version of the comic, can’t stand this version of the comic (very immature, dumb happenings and personality portrayal, change of plot without even having a good alternative plot). Even as a YY time-wasting read, this is too much for me (-.-;)y-~~~

hmm I know this happened long ago, and I acknowledge the hardship of taking over such difficult job as translation midway, but the impact remains 😰 if I may share my two cents, in case another novel is picked up midway in the future : (1) changing names to match official Korean naming from the original author is fine, you could reduce the impact by removing the hyphen in the first name so that foreigners still quickly catch on initials and overall name. (2) refrain from removing -ssi and -hyung as they are part of the lore of Asian culture and foreigners reading Asian novels do so because they appreciate such lore (besides the nuances in translation are hard). (3) do not destroy the world lore built by 300 chapters just for the satisfaction to get a bit closer from dictionary translation (or at the very least, don't do it all in one go) because a lost reader is potentially lost forever, and also because authors themselves twist the meaning of words beyond dictionary definition in order to build their lore. (4) words matter, each and every one of them. endless synonyms will start having power thanks to the tale they accumulated across chapters, and although they are not the most perfect, the most accurate or the best, these very words depict the Story that thousands readers have followed for years. if taking over this Story midway, please do the same as the content of this chapter, "listen properly to the words of the tale and they shall show you the way" [img=recommend]

hmm, I'm not too sure. it probably depends on people religion and philosophy 🤔 Fate and other concepts say that every mortal existence is dictated by an already-written story. looking at it from this angle, I would actually side with the kids and consider Kim Dokja a godly prophet who happened to read it 😅 if so, my question would be "are we still following the Story you read?"
