This novel is so shi*ty i had to write a review just to spite it... and change your god damn synopsis, it's misleading. Half way thru you change the format to badly executed wuxia novel and aura turned into cultivation lmao. Imma kill that imma kill those im gonna show you whose your father omfg. It feels like a shi*ty translation of a low grade wuxia chinese novel instead of an original fanfiction. The shift in character personality is jarring and wonderfully shows just how bad this novel is. For those that doubt just take a look at chap 40-43.

Living in any of the three fic with the chill mentality would be pretty hard. Would like some context if he change at all after canon pokemon. If he were the same i would probably recommend other fics since from the story now it would be hard to see him choosing any of the three you mention.
