The world changed in the last 20 years, wait 20 years or 50 years, I can’t remember anything, even my name. What’s happening to me?. The new hunger is very mighty, biting into the flesh of your own kind is disgusting, but it’s a must. Especially the brain, its a delicacy. I don’t know what turned us into this. Maybe a bio chemical outbreak turned us into this, I can’t figure it out. I can understand my surroundings perfectly, maybe some of them can also think, oh sorry, I forgot that we are dead, we are all dead. But how can a corpse think, the only thing we do is grrhhh at each other. My case is different, I understand my surroundings perfectly, I have the ability to think. But this new form of me controls my body, the only thing going through my head is “EAT HUMAN”. Oh Geez we are damn hungry, none of us has eaten in the last 2yrs, maybe we have eaten all humans left. Those guys over there are Stage 2 corpse, Their structure appears has skeletons, but they have improved physique, they can run faster, climb walls, but they don’t disturb us much. And there are Stage 3 corpse, I advice you to stay away from these guys, they feed on human and even us stage 1 corpse, they isolate themselves in deep places or big spacious places. Okay before you start reading the Novel, I want you to know that this is my First Novel, there might me test errors, I will always try to improve.

Rat invasion

No Sebastian. What happened?. The EMP cloud and the strange figure has something to do with this. I remember my Family eye turning white.

Sebastian is unconscious, I lift him up. I don't know what to do, he is still breathing, not dead yet. In this kind of situation, I know I need water. Pouring water on him can help him regain consciousness. But this is a desert, where can I find water in a desert. I can't leave Sebastian here. Moreover, were are we, this place doesn't look familiar.

I tried looking around. Wait, is that a Sky scraper in the middle of a desert?. How is this possible. Judging by the looks of the building, it looks deserted. The only thing holding the building was the iron rods used for the construction of the building. What really happened here. How can someone be stupid to build a sky scraper here.

The building is almost 2 miles away, I have to carry Sebastian, this will take me more than one hour to reach the building. My hopes are high , we need shelter. Its almost night, maybe we can find water and food. Damn, Sebastian is heavy, what's this guy eating. Carrying Sebastian slows me down, I walked for almost 30minuites, I checked his pulse every minute to make sure he is still alive. The Emp cloud and whatever brought us here must have something to do with Sebastian unconscious.

My hopes are high has we get closer to the building. Now one can easily describe the status of the building. The building is more than 100 floors judging by its height. Its also old and rusty. Only few iron poles maintained the building structure.

Randy felt a shiver in his spine, he is surely not feeling good about this. Suddenly, A dark cloud appear in the sky. This cloud is a little bit different from the Emp Cloud that brought them here with its greenish color. Randy quickly drag Sebastian into the building. Randy taught it was about to rain, judging by the thunder and the sudden cloud.

Sebastian is still unconscious, while Randy decided to look for food or water. The building is dark, because of the cloud that blocked the sun ray. But not too dark for Randy not to see where he is going. He is still amazed and keep asking himself a question " how on earth, will someone build a building in the middle of nowhere".

Randy found the stairway to another floor of the building, but the stairway is blocked by cloths. Seeing the cloths, Randy knew that some people have been here before them. The cloths appear old and dusty, one would know that they had been there for a very long time. Randy seems confused has he ascend the stairs. He became more afraid when he found some writings on the wall, the writing seems to be written by blood, it says " There's no God up there". Another writing say " Humans are the biggest fool". Randy ask himself, where did all this writing come from?. Who wrote them?. How did I get here?.

Randy was still deep in thought, when he heard a rustling sound. He became startled and switched its gaze quickly at the direction.

"woooh, that's a one big rat". Randy said to himself when he saw the huge figure that made the sound. Randy was wondering , how a rat can become so big, when suddenly the rat snared at him. It seems the rat is ready to attack Randy, Randy tried to make a run for it, but it was to late has the Rat jumped on Randy, biting through its shirt and trying to eat Randy. Randy taught it's the end of him when suddenly he heard a "swoosh" sound. Its Sebastian that hit the Rat with a Iron Rod.

Randy got up and said. " Sebastian, thank Heavens you are here, am almost eaten by that monster, and you are..."

"Where are we, this place looks scary." Sebastian cut in sharply.

"Am trying to figure that out, before this goddamn Rat jumped on me".

" What's that sound". Sebastian said, while looking at the stairs that lead to the third floor of the building.

"Giants Rats!!!". Randy shouted at the top of his voice. Has hundreds of Rats appear from the third floor stairs.

Randy switched its attention to Sebastian, but he is no longer there, Randy saw Sebastian descending the Stairs to the first floor. Randy also make a run for it. But the Rats are faster than them, has one of the rats caught Randy's trouser with its teeth. Randy kicked the Rat with his second leg, and continue running. Sebastian is already out of the building, still running and not looking back.
