The Method Actor
"Nothing is too much when you deserve it."
"You don't see why putting up an eight-foot statue of himself is too much?"
People bowed as Lilac and Ase walked by. They went straight to the principal's office. A plaque on her table said " Vivian Feed".
"Aunty Ase, it's been a while."
"Vivian, this is Lilac Skyes she will be joining you guys."
Vivian nodded and smiled at Lilac.
"So these are some classes we offer."
Vivian asked handing Lilac a pamphlet, but before she could glance through it, Ase snatched it.
"She will be studying languages."
As said handing Vivian the pamphlet back. She made a call and in less than a minute, a woman entered the office. Vivian asked Lilac to follow her and she did. They got to a classroom where lessons had already begun.
"Excuse me"
The woman said and called out the teacher. She introduced them and walked away.
"Class we have a new student and she is going to introduce herself."
"Hi, I am Lilac Skyes, happy to be here."
After her introduction, she was asked to take a seat. As she was walking to her seat she heard " She must be related to the principal, being admitted close to the end of the semester "
"Yes she is my aunt"
Lilac replied stunning the other girl because she said it in draconian.
Lilac took her seat and tried to pay attention to what was being taught.
During recess, Grey was talking to some friends when he saw Lilac. He approached her walking calmly then hugged her, swaying from side to side.
Lilac saw the girl in her class pointing at her to some friends. They walked towards them and one of the girls called Grey.
"Forgive me."
He said and walked towards her.
"Kiss me."
She said looking at Lilac. Grey looked at Lilac and kissed her on the cheek. She shook her head and pointed her lips. Grey kissed her on her lip and she held his head and continued kissing him for about 30 seconds.
Lilac just shook her head and walked away, Grey quickly went after her.
"Skye, I'm sorry. That's how things work here. She is Law, her father is head of the school board. If we don't do what she says she will make our life difficult."
"Our, you kissed her for me? Oh I didn't know, thanks for looking out for me."
Lilac went back into her classroom. While she was there, Vivian passed by and saw her sitting by herself. She turned a chair in front of Lilac's desk and sat across from her.
"Not making friends?"
"Who is Law?"
"I see you met your cousin, Amanda Lawhey"
"Cousin? I didn't even know my mother had a sibling."
"No, you know your grandfather was a twin right?"
"Yes, Auntie Atta"
"Yes, she has a child, Teach Lawhey. That's his daughter."
After school, Amanda and her friends stood at the gate waiting for Lilac. When she got there they got in her way, preventing her from leaving.
"I just wanted you to learn the hard way, you can have Grey. I don't want him, I just want you to know it doesn't matter who your mother is. I run this school."
Lilac put up her hand and tried to blow Amanda and her friends away but nothing happened. They flinched but after nothing happened they laughed. They made way for her to pass but tripped her when she walked past them.
As she walked home she wondered what else Amanda had made her boyfriend do.
Grey had been calling her non-stop, and after a while, she read one of his messages. It said he was waiting at their usual spot. She tried teleporting there but she couldn't.
She then remembered she couldn't blast away Amanda and her friends back at school.
Before that Page had been trying to contact her but she thought Grey was trying to reach her through Page. She went to tell her grandmother what was happening to her.
"I think Yor has your power."
Page said showing her a video on her phone.
"Is she healing people?"
Lilac asked as she watched the video.
"The video is trending but this is not good. Where are you going?"
Ase asked Lilac who was walking away.
"Going to get my power back."
Ase and Page tried to stop her but she went anyway. When she got there, Yor was sitting on her throne in her temple.
"Yor, you took something that doesn't belong to you, give it back."
"Keep shooting"
Yor said to her crew who resumed shooting.
"It's Avower and in my temple, you bow."
Yor brought down her hand and a strong force brought Lilac to her knees. Lilac was surprised for a second, she tried getting up but Yor waved and sent her flying.
Page who saw what was happening on Yor's live stream ran to Lilac's rescue. Ase who was with her walked towards Yor while Page helped Lilac up. She coughed out blood and wiped her lips.
"Kneel!"
Yor said forcing all of them to their knees including her crew. Ase tried getting up, she tried for awhile and then immediately stood up. Lilac looked at her, she looked completely different. Her short bangs pixie had grown six inches and turned pure white.
Ase charged at her when she was nearly near enough to hit her, Yor blasted away. She then teleported to the other side of the room and punched Ase immediately after she got there. After she teleported Lilac and the rest were able to move. She got close to Ase but when she was about to pick her up, Ase pulled on her feet. Making her fall face-first on the concrete.
"I am a god, and you will treat me as such!"
Yor yelled and hit the ground with a fist creating a huge depression before getting up. Lightning stuck making a hole in the roof, and hitting Ase directly in the head.
"Are you ready to accept me as your god?"
Yor asked as she walked towards Page and Lilac. Page stood in front of Lilac shielding her from Yor.
She slapped Page who fell, she grabbed Lilac and placed her on the ground face first. Lilac held her hands out, preventing her from completely touching the ground.
"Worshiping a god is not supposed to be compulsory. I will never worship a god like you."
Lilac said and Yor pushed her down, breaking both Lilac's hands and crushing her ribs.
"You are a horrible god, you can't be the Avower. You are fired."
Lilac said to Yor as he walked away. Immediately after she ended her sentence, Yor fell to the ground. Lilac's wounds healed instantly and she got up.
"Are you okay?"
Lilac asked Page who was still on the floor.
"Yes, but it hurts when I move."
Lilac healed her then healed her grandmother.
"what happened? I can't feel my legs, I can't move."
Yor asked and Lilac walked over and healed her.
"Can anyone tell me what happened?"
"You are what is known as a method actor. You are consumed by your roles. I didn't think some were in these parts."
Yor looked at Ase with relief.
"When I heard about this gig I thought things would be different."
"Where did you hear about this job?"
"My agent, I don't know him but he has a huge scar across his right eye."
Lilac saw fear in her grandmother's eyes. Immediately Yor mentioned her agent's scar.
