Techniques

The divine eyes technique was simply frightening, no wonder Nicolas's grandfather had made so many arrangements to disguise that book as a fantasy story. its effects were simply frightening, even Nicolas without the system would not have been able to identify that book as a technique.

The first stage of the technique focused on strengthening all 5 senses of an individual giving him the ability to "see" with all the senses, by the end of this stage the user would have the senses so heightened it would be similar to having a 380 degree vision throughout your body.

The second stage focused on strengthening and stabilizing the effects of the first stage so that the practitioner could have a stronger foundation for practicing it. This was a technique that required a lot of mental and physical energy and as the main objective of the technique was that its effects could be used passively, the second step was essential.

In the third stage the practitioner would finally train the last sense "The look", this was the final stage in addition to being the most difficult and frightening of the entire technique, because by mastering the third stage the practitioner would be fully mastering the technique and thus receiving a wide range of abilities through it.

Some of these abilities were: Night Vision, Thermal Vision, Extended Vision, X-Ray Vision and finally Mana Vision. As stated before, some techniques were so powerful that they could be used regardless of the practitioner's ability and this seemed to be one of them. It was a technique that once practiced would have the effect of several independent skills and that was extremely frightening for a single skill. How did your grandfather get something so valuable?

Nicolas was no longer in Base P, he didn't know if some of his friends were daring enough to visit Base P in secret, so he decided not to stay there too long and after putting masks and books in his inventory, Nicolas left. There was nothing special about the other books other than the technique he had found, however Nicolas decided to take them anyway to use his passion for reading as an excuse when Joe and Jimmy miss these items.

Fortunately, this technique could be practiced calmly in your bedroom, without the risk of ending up blowing up your entire house. After sitting on his bed and closing his eyes, Nicolas concentrated on feeling his entire environment through his other senses, first he started with his sense of smell trying to differentiate the smells of objects, then he trained his touch by touching the surface of the bed and his surroundings, after that he trained his hearing using his ears to differentiate the subtle noises in his room, when it came time to taste Nicolas squinted his eyes and thought:

"I won't need to lick anything, right? "

After flipping through it a few more times, Nicolas finally understood. It was impossible to "see" with the other senses in the same way as with vision after all they were completely different senses, in fact the objective of the technique was to extend them to a point where the practitioner could perceive the world around him, even without to see.

For example, listening to Nicolas could easily create a mental map of all the surroundings through the echo, just as bats did, through the taste he could discover poisons and other substances present in his food before swallowing them, through the smell he he could track things by smell and by touch he could feel the different fluctuations of the wind to identify a person's movements without even seeing them.

That's what made this technique so frightening, with it Nicolas was sure he wouldn't be taken by surprise at any time during a battle. The Stone Man's needles left a deep impression on Nicolas, so he should have been more cautious with sneak attacks.

_ * Sigh... luckily, I just need to eat to train my taste buds. "If Nicolas were forced to lick the floor, he would be very sad.

When he ransacked the fridge without his mother noticing, Nicolas returned to his room carrying several breads, canned goods, meats, vegetables, among others. After a few minutes, Nicolas finally started eating, concentrating fully on tasting the different flavors and flavors of the food, sharpening his taste buds even more.

"I feel like I'm improving, but it will take some time before I can fully master these stages." With that thought, Nicolas continued to work.

Tens of kilometers below ground were several tunnels connected together like spider webs, each of these tunnels was the size of a bus and several kilometers long, which allowed several men to work in these tunnels without any problems.

For all these miles, there was no ore or anything unusual on those walls, just rocks and hard earth that the miners didn't even bother to store.

All those men were, without exception, human. Some were tall and stout, some were weak, some were short, but everyone here was unmistakably human. Despite being in terrain of high temperature and constant danger, none of them wore any equipment other than a few rusty pickaxes and helmets with attached flashlights.

The horrible smell of blood and decaying bodies attacked their noses all the time, giving them an irresistible urge to vomit, but they fought their instincts and kept mining, or else they would have the same fate as those decaying bodies. Some of the dead committed suicide and others let out a slight complaint about their work, which caused them to lose their lives immediately.

Obviously those men were slaves, or rather, they were the ones who would be executed in the Guillotine Palace in a few days. The torture they suffered was, in fact, intense mining work that lasted from the period they were captured until the period they were executed.

The advantage and problem of the humans was that they were in their essence very hopeful even in the face of imminent death, for some reason they still continued to mine in the hope that by a miracle they could be freed from that fate. But not everyone was so hopeful, some just gave up and committed suicide right there, these deaths were really a blow to the miners' confidence, but even so they didn't stop working. In the human heart, hope is the last to die.

Among these men was a tall, thin young man who, despite wearing a helmet, some parts of his hair still escaped, revealing smooth, shiny red strands. This young man, despite being covered in dust, did not have a drop of sweat on his body, much less showed a tired expression, all that was in his eyes was an endless calm.

"WHAT IS IT ?!" A man screamed beside him as a greenish glow lit up the entire cavern for an instant. As soon as that glow disappeared, a green statue fell from the cave walls attracting the attention of everyone there, this statue had four arms, red eyes and was so rich in detail that it actually looked like a miniature monster. The expression on the statue's face was of grief as if it were suffering, when this statue fell a man ran to pick it up.

"Wait...!" The young redhead ran to stop him, but it was too late.

As soon as the man's fingers touched the statue, like a living being, the statue's previously sad smile suddenly turned into an evil grin that displayed a row of sharp teeth.

With this series of events the man came out of himself and like a madman grabbed the statue and ran through the tunnels, disappearing from view. The young redhead did not follow him but he knew very well what the man's fate would be.

A few minutes later, that man didn't seem to show any signs of stopping, however, the air around him suddenly rippled as Brutus appeared beside him with a cold face.

"Trying to steal my treasure? What a filthy human!" With a casual wave of his hands, Brutus severed the man's head.

As he picked up the statue, a strange glow crossed Brutus' eyes before he disappeared from where he was standing.

Nicolas did not fail to cultivate this technique at any time, even without sleep he still felt very energetic and strong, this was one of the benefits that a fusion core provided to its user. It had been a while since Nicolas had opened his statuses, so he made the status window appear in front of him.

[Shadow Step: It's still not possible to evolve.]

[Divine Eyes: It's not possible to evolve yet.]

Unfortunately his only two techniques still couldn't evolve because Nicolas didn't completely master them, so he could only keep working. His cultivation path has been very smooth so far, in which case it was obvious that at one time or another he would encounter some obstacles.

Looking at his stitches, Nicolas suddenly had an idea.

'Add 15 intelligence points. '

Although his highest attribute so far is the intelligence attribute Nicolas still dared to put all his points on it, because if his intelligence attribute helped him to understand techniques more easily then it wouldn't be a total loss for him, after all, intelligence was still a force to be reckoned with.

After leaving the house in the middle of the night he got far enough away from his house and activated his Stone Man disguise, after that he didn't even bother to look for a private place and started practicing Shadow Step.

Run as if it didn't exist.

Proceed with muted steps.

Hide your presence.

Go beyond your speed limits.

Those were the main principles of Shadow Step. As Nicolas ran, his steps became faster and more stealthy, to ordinary eyes he was like a figure moving at high speed, as he received a deeper understanding of the technique Nicolas felt naturally happy. Despite this, it was not enough to release the system's evolution mode.

Even so these techniques were still very powerful despite Nicolas not having completely mastered them, this meant that when Nicolas released the evolution of both of them they would become something really incomparable in the world, this means that all his techniques could evolve and surpass his Limits. Power-hungry the once cautious Nicolas made an extreme decision.

Well, I was gone for a few days and a good explanation for that... I had forgotten my password.
