We follow Kelsey, a young teenage girl, as she graduates from middle school and prepares to venture off to high school, halfway across the world. As Kelsey boards the plane to begin her journey, she is filled with pure excitement. However, as soon as she arrives at her school, Tikvah, she starts to struggle deeply with her social anxiety. We see her struggles through orientation, her first days, and many other important events. As the year goes on, Kelsey’s anxiety not only gets worse but she also starts questioning her sexuality. Her social worker, with whom she has a deep connection with, decides it’s time to start her on medication. When the side effects start to take place, readers are left on the edge of their seats, wondering, what will Kelsey's fate be.
