Volume 1, Chapter 5 - "The presented Problem"

As if anything can get better!

I could recognize that technique from anywhere!

"KONPEKI! ARE YOU OKAY?!"

"Yea! I'm okay. Ina's been hypnotized! Can you try to snap her out of it!"

"Got it!"

I had to fend off the woman from my friends!

This was all my fault.

"Arrrgh. You're so troublesome as always. I'm going to have to give up on you. But I suggest you look after your sister. Who knows what might happen."

[BLOOD ARTS, BLOODHOUND!]

She summoned a puddle of what looks like blood and just left?

I turned to Dai and Ina who were in the back.

"Hey Dai. Is she back?"

"Yea she's back. My flames have a healing property although it's not as effective on other people. But it relinquished the hypnotic effects."

"Alright. Thank you Dai."

"I'm your friend. That's what friends are for."

"Well. I have to make my way home. I think that woman is after Sagiri as well."

I immediately knew what she meant.

I have to get back now!

But I won't make it in time since she's far gone.

Then..

I'll have to do this.

 (Fujiwara's POV)

The match that Konpeki and Shinji had was certainly interesting.

I didn't think that Shinji had the ability to call out his own True Manifest.

Konpeki was lucky enough for me to have been there.

Awwww.

"Why am I thinking about him at this time in the bath? I mean I did grow an attachment to him for saving me that time but."

Ah, this is too hard to think about.

Father probably wouldn't acknowledge him anyway.

And I'm pretty sure my sister would just make him do a difficult "test".

I should get out of the bath.

I've been in there for a while.

I made myself a snack and sat down on my couch.

"If we were to get together, I think I'd be the happiest girl."

[RING RING RING RING]

"Hmmm? Who's calling me?"

I picked up my phone.

He called me.

We exchanged contact information some time ago so I'm pretty happy.

I picked it up.

"Good evening Konpeki. What brought you to–"

"FUJIWARA! I NEED YOUR HELP!"

"Heh?"

He needs my help?

"Um. Yes what is it?"

"WE FOUND– SHES– WAY– SAGIRI–GO–HOUSE–"

"Wait! Say it again!"

He cut off.

Shoot what happened Konpeki?

He was distraught.

If he called me like that then I have to go now!

I got ready immediately after the call.

Konpeki told me where he lived since we both live in the same direction.

"Alright Konpeki. I'm coming."

[KORONIDES TRUE MANIFEST!]

I jumped out of my balcony and dashed out to Konpeki's house.

It didn't take a long time for me to get to his house as it took 3 minutes thanks to my speed.

But I do wonder what happened to Konpeki to cause him to be like that.

He's usually good natured and not easily swayed by negativity.

So what happened?

I made it to the front porch of the house and knocked on the door.

"Hello! Konpeki is that you!"

Hmm? Someone other than Konpeki?

"Uhh. No, it's Fujiwara Suisei. I'm a good friend of Konpeki Seiryu. Do you happen to know him?"

Then the door opened a little bit and a dark blue haired girl poked her head out.

"Hmmm. If you're his friend, then do you know where he is?"

"I'm sorry. I don't know where he is but he did call me to check up on his little sister."

"That's me!"

"Ah then you are Konpeki Sagiri right?"

"Yea! How did you know my name!"

"He mentioned that he had a little sister."

It looks like things are ok here but I should stay just in case.

"Can I come in?"

"Yea sure! Any friend of Seiryu is welcome in this house!"

"Is that so?"

I smiled. Sagiri showed me inside.

I have to say, this place is quite clean.

Considering that only two people live here, it is to be expected.

"So Fujiwara. Are you his future wife?"

"What?"

Well then, this was an unexpected question. I wonder if Seiryu has to deal with this everyday?

"I don't consider myself to be, but if he so wishes, then yes."

She gasped at what I said. Sigh. I shouldn't have said that.

"So you do want to be his wife?"

"Ok! Let's end the conversation here."

Yea, I don't want to think of this too much.

I'm here to watch over Sagiri.

But looking through family pictures of Konpeki and his parents piques my interest. I haven't seen any pictures with Sagiri in it. Weird.

 (Konpeki Seiryu's POV)

Shit!

I don't know if Fujiwara understood what I said since this blood mutt fucked my phone up!

"Hey Seiryu, let's burn it!"

"Yea lets try!"

Dai fired several "Phoenix Arrows" as he calls them at the Bloodhound.

I never thought that a summon like this would cause us this much trouble.

Ina's in the back recovering from the effects of the hypnosis.

Dai is running out of stamina.

And I can't touch this damn mutt!

[ROOOOAR]

I'm sure the academy would have picked up on this energy.

I wonder if Fujiwara got to the house?

Sigh.

I have to concentrate on this first.

She's strong.

I was in deep thought when the Bloodhound swiped its claws at me and threw me at the side wall.

Shit!

I was distracted!

My Mystic Eyes need full concentration to use.

I wasn't able to dodge that attack.

[PHOENIX FIRE, PHOENIX FLASH ARROW!]

An arrow whizzes past my head and nails the Bloodhound on the chest.

It's not able to feel pain but it's core was exposed.

Liquid type summons are powerful but have a weakness that is their core.

Once destroyed, they dissipate.

"Seiryu! Are you alright!"

"Yea! You exposed it's core! We have to destroy it!"

"I got it!"

Ina recovered?

[MANIFEST! GAE BOLG!]

Her spear that she had transformed into a red spear with a jagged tipped head.

The energy emanating from her weapon is truly terrifying.

According to history, Gae Bolg only needed one cut to kill an opponent.

The person that held Gae Bolg was known as Cu Chulainn.

Basically Irish Hercules.

And fuse that with a strong person like Ina, basically a god.

"Aim for that core Ina!"

I pointed out where to aim for.

"Don't need to tell me twice! Everyone! Take cover!"

[GAE BOLG, SPEAR OF DEATH!]

I've only seen her use this attack once on a dummy.

It was pretty destructive when I first saw it used.

It caused an explosion on contact that made a huge hole in the wall with a crater in the ground.

Ina threw her Gae Bolg to the core of the Bloodhound.

[BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM]

A huge explosion engulfed the alleyway causing dust to rise and cover everyone.

*Cough Cough*

Everyone was coughing due to the dust cloud thanks to Ina.

Nice one.

"*Cough Cough*Wow Ina, I think you coulda tone it down a bit!"

"*Cough* You're welcome!"

That was certainly a happy tone she had.

I really hope that Sagiri is alright.

Hopefully Fujiwara got the gist of what happened.
