Ch. 11

in the silence of the room where her brother was bedridden, the silence seemed to be growing and consuming the air. She sat there, unable to do anything but wait, her eyes filled with tears and worries for her little brother.

" Seita... I hope you getting better, there's a lot of things that I want to talk about, and I'm sorry to say the fact that we lose everything we had once again... The family in the orphanages, our sweet uncle.. And our lovely sister tiana. "

Sheila couldn't hold back her tears anymore and broke down in front of her little brother who doesn't even conscious at this moment. Her tears streamed down her face as she sobbed and said, "I'm so sorry…"

She continued to cry but no one could seem to cheer her up. The only noise she could hear in the room was the equipment being installed for her little brother to survive. She was feeling extremely sad and worried for him.

"So...please just get better, because you're the only one I have left in this world." Sheila spoke between tears of sadness and sorrow while touching her little brother hand, a heartbreaking situation where she was essentially going to be all alone if he didn't make it through this ordeal.

After a while, she attempted to cheer herself up by not dwelling on the negative thoughts and emotions that came up when she thought about her little brother's situation. She was trying not to let those bad vibes take control of her thoughts and feeling.

"Today I was discharged from the hospital and I'll be going to the academy not too far from here. And I'm sorry that I couldn't stop by to check on you every day." Sheila was making an effort to lift her spirit up and trying her best so she could make it out somehow.

"I may not be the best at communicating, but I promise to do my very best to save as many lives as I can" Sheila try to cheered herself up even further and kept speaking with her little brother. She was making herself feel better by promising to do her very best at saving as many life's as she could.

"Are you ready Sheila?" Dr. Millie asked, approaching her and touching her shoulders in a comforting manner. She seemed to be concerned for her and wanted to make sure she was ready emotionally.

"Yes... " Sheila said with a warm smile.

Academy Warframe, City of (K)

The academy who well known for its enormous size and consisted of thousands of young cadets who were receiving their education and training before they could become fully-fledged soldiers. It was the third largest academy known for its contributions on the front line and was widely regarded as one of the most prestigious and well-regulated schools for military personnel.

"Hey hey...Did you know, I've heard there's gonna be a transfer student who's going to be staying right in our dorm.." One of the girls said gossiping with another about the upcoming transfer student and all the excitement they should expect to have when meeting them at some point.

"Don't expect too much, we have a strict training schedule, and even though we're still cadets, we also have received some pretty dangerous missions in the past."

They were warning her that she shouldn't expect too much excitement, the training was pretty strict and they had received some dangerous missions even as cadets, so this transfer student should be fully prepared to deal with anything that might come her way as well.

"Yeah, you're absolutely right. She'll probably die if she doesn't even have the basics down." They were pointing out that the new student would have to adapt quickly and learn all the essentials if they had hope of surviving in the intensive academy training and the dangerous missions they'd potentially be sent on.

"And we don't even talk about the last mission...Miyura lost both of her arms and is still recovering from the surgeries. The last mission was hell." They were remembering the last mission they were sent on in which they had lost a cadet who was seriously injured. They were also sharing how much people who died in that last missions.

"Look, there she is at the gate... Our new transfer student." She were pointing out the girl who was approaching the gate, and she seemed genuinely excited to see her even though she didn't even know who this new student was or what she would be like.

Sheila, who was standing silently at the gate with Dr. Sheila seemed a little bit nervous and shy. She was an introvert who didn't talk much and wasn't very good at talking with other people, so this was going to be a tough situation for her, having to deal with being introduced to some of the other cadets at the academy.

After a while, Sheila was lead with Dr. Sheila into the school principal's room, where a man was waiting for them. He had a majestic appearance and a red long hair that made him look quite elegant. He was also dressed in a suit that fit his personality perfectly and gave him a very authoritative and important air.

"If I'm understanding correctly, I believe you have heard everything you need to know. But if there's anything else that I can help with, please feel free to ask me." The principal spoke with a confident and authoritative tone.

Sheila who semeed to shy to ask, can't even mutter a single words.

"The boys and the girls are separated one from another, so you don't have to be afraid with it"

"All you need to do, was to learn and do your best at the practical lessons and depend your life on it.. It's all you need to survive the missions"

Sheila nodded her head slowly, acknowledging what she had just heard. She had heard about the academy before and how well known it was for being active on the frontline, the type of environment where lives were easily lost in the blink of an eye.

This academy had a grand purpose of bringing humanity back to the surface and liberating them from their mortal enemies, an ambitious plan.

After a while of hearing what she needed to know about the basics of the academy and going through all the necessary steps, she was directed to her classroom.

Sitting in their classrooms, which only consist girl students, the four girls who had seen her at the gateway were whispering among themselves and gossiping about the new student. They're whispering about her and seem to be very interested in finding out who kinda person she is.

"My name is Sheila Mikoto, it's a pleasure to meet you.."

There's many girl around the classroom, but among many of them, Sheila noticed one in particular. The girl had green jaded eyes and twin tails of hair that were a vibrant shade of green. She appeared to be a very cheerful and friendly type of person, someone who gets along with everyone easily and loves making new friends. The girl's name was Aiko Midori.

This little girl was waving her hand towards Sheila, and signaling to sit on the vacant benches beside her. She was eager for her new classmate to come over and be her friend and was waving her hands to get her attention.

but it's looks like, sheila who's somewhat shy and introverted girl getting flustered by the wave and signal of friendship. The thought of sitting beside a complete stranger who is eager to be her friend was enough to make her sit somewhere else far away from her. She wanted to be friendly, but couldn't get over her shyness just yet, so she chose to not sit beside the girl and instead keep her distance.

The four girls were now whispering amongst each other and giggling at the sight of Aiko making an attempt to become friends with Sheila, but she was keeping her distance from her. One of the girls said, "Look Aiko, your new friend is afraid of you.. " While teasing aiko cheerfully.

Sheila felt bad when she saw the rest of the girls joking about Aiko trying to be her friend, but she didn't know what she could do in this situation. She was too shy to suddenly get close to others and felt very uncomfortable with this new environment and having to deal with new people.

After a while in the classroom, the study session began. Sheila was quite surprised at how smoothly everything was going, and it felt much better than she had thought. She started to get more comfortable with the environment after that awkwardness and felt a bit more at ease when she realized that the class wasn't as threatening as she had initially assumed.

"Alright students... The study session has come to an end for today. We'll be moving onto practical sessions for the next two weeks starting tomorrow. So use this time to relax and prepare yourself for what's to come." The lady teacher spoke kindly and with a gentle smile as she explained the plan for the upcoming days and weeks.

"Sheila isn't? Don't be too surprise tommorow, okay? " Said one of the four girls with a brown short hair.

Hearing this remark, Sheila became confused and concerned about what the comment may have meant. She wasn't sure what to expect from the upcoming practical sessions, but she knew something was going to be different than what she initially thought.

Tomorrow came and the students arrived at the school yards and stadium, ready to begin their practical sessions. Sheila was a bit nervous.

Suddenly like a thunderous sound, a very strong looking lady teacher suddenly arrived without any warning, seeming to come out of nowhere. This brought the students' attention immediately.

The lady teacher yelled out "Ruuunn!! A HUNDRED LAPS!!" with a crazed face that caught the sheila off-guard.

Sheila was very confused when she looked around the field. She thought everyone would trying to complain or ask somethin about that training, but everyone else except Sheila was running with a crazed and berserker like expression on their faces!

"DO 300 HUNDRED PUSH UP!!"

"DO 300 HUNDREDS SQUAD!!! "

"DO 2 MORE REPS OF THOSE SHIT!!! " The Teachers said while carrying a baton ready to hit at the student.

"FASTER YOU PEACE OF SHIT!!! "

"AGAINNN!!!!!! "

"What the hell is going on here!? " Sheila said while doing those extreme exercises without any stop!

"Can someone explain it to me!? "
