CHAPTER 015: Aliah

In Yanarym's case, she only knew one person from a subjective perspective. She could never advance in anything in that knowledge. She could picture herself dying repeatedly and failing this world miserably from being ignorant.

That modest kind of information would work wisely if she were the main character of this world.

She was not.

She was an invader, a transmigrator. She was a foreign person to this world.

In addition, the Original was merely one of the catalysts that must die for the real protagonist to have his character developed.

She needed to know whom she had to deal with, and it was hard to analyze without knowing them in person and relying on the plotline and memories that were subjective.

She must know and understand every character and variable. She had to look at this world impartially to become the King of Kings.

That was why, during the time she was observing the world with Guide-sama's aid, she made a small note regarding the characters and added the information that was written in the story.

Anyways, she had learned some stuff that took her three weeks to acquire. Today she had to apply theoretical knowledge to reality.

The reality from the capital and the kingdom might be entirely different though.

In the capital, most of the people wore a casual yet ancient fashion style. Although the epoch was depicted in the 20th century, people here were like from the time of the past in Yanarym's primary world.

Commoners were swathed in modest clothes woven in a pineapple plant; the fabric was called camisa. Women were usually wearing full wide skirts that had a long train; men wore simple pants; gender-wise would wear a baro which was the long-sleeved upper garment.

Aristocrats and Bourgeoisie had their fashionable style which was much more detailed and had more layers of clothes than the commoners. And because Yanarym was at the center of the country; where the capital was located; people there were varied. Nobles, pheasants, foreigners, and palace servants; each time Yanarym would encounter one in the market—they were causing her the 'culture shock.'

Just looking at the maid in front of her, Yanarym could have presumed there would be another cultural shock for her.

People in the palace must be dressed like in the fairytale. Fancy gowns, swanky suits, long capes, mystical castles—like she was in a Disney movie.

That was what she remembered from Original's childhood.

"Punish me for being impudent, Your Highness!" Yanarym was drawn back into the present when the maid in a uniform shouted. "I committed a crime!" She bowed her whole body on the ground, trembling. "How dare I, a lowly servant looked the first royal princess straight in the eyes! Please punish me, Your Highness!"

The woman was about to cry; she did not want to mess this up.

However, that was what she did right after stepping on the first Princess' quarters. She should have been composed and calm, yet she was presenting herself as undignified and flubbed.

The rare opportunity was botched by her!

'I want to die. Can the surface swallow me?' Aliah thought.

The first Princess never permitted anyone to enter nor approach her palace after the death of the recent monarchy, which was her parents. The new King and Queen vindicated the action allowing her to have the space and time she needed to recover from her grief.

For the past few years, nobody had seen her, even her shadow. There had been no one looking out for her or providing support while she had been living alone.

A miracle happened; Queen Eriela appointed Aliah to become the first Princess's personal maid.

For a low-ranking servant like her that was serving in the kingdom; becoming the personal aide of the first Princess was every young maiden's dream. And she was the lucky one to be chosen—

She should have made a good impression, but…

Aliah cried internally.

Upon entering the threshold of the infamous Adamas Palace, Aliah was stunned at the welfare of the fortress of their beloved princess.

When she reached the princess' boudoir, the first thing that caught her eyes was the silhouette of a small frame of a woman sitting on a behemoth window, it was the size of a door.

The first thought that came to Aliah's mind was that the princess was about to jump from her window to commit suicide. Yet, a sudden realization struck her mind when she heard the princess' melodic voice while looking at her goddess-like appearance.

How could a person waste such a blessing?

The first Princess had platinum blonde hair, close to the color silver, drifting through the wind like soft waves in the ocean. Her turquoise eyes were reserved and cold, just making eye contact with her would give you the breezy air on the chilly beach. Her voice was small and delicate yet noble and chic. Although Princess Yanarym was barely wearing her nightwear, not a single soul in this kingdom could dent her beauty and refinement.

"What's your name?" The voice nor the question was not frightening. Nevertheless, Aliah could feel the shudders crawling on her skin.

She parted her lips to answer and coughed upon inhaling the particles of dirt. She felt so embarrassed that she forgot how to speak or think.

Her eyes were fixated on the ground when she saw those snow-white feet touching the sullied carpet and began to walk silently up in her direction.

Aliah could still not utter a word.

She felt a delicate finger lifting her chin to look up.

To her terror, the princess was kneeling right in front of her and holding her grubby skin.

Aliah could not breathe.

Mesmerized by the ethereal splendor of the person right across her sight.

"Name?" The breezy air coming from Her Highness was encrypting her flesh. Though, she could feel her face burning from mortification and bewilderment. Aliah did not know how to process this situation... Not certain how she should behave.

"A-a-a…"
