An older fishing boat with peeling paint and a name barely legible sat among the others, its worn appearance contrasting with the sleeker vessels nearby. Jaxon's gaze lingered on the boat, a glimmer of recognition in his eyes.

"That might be it," He said pointing at the boat as Julie looked over as well, "Are you sure?"

"It's the only boat with any relation to Ben, so might as well check it out," Heading over to the boat Jaxon called out, "Hello? Anyone on board?"

There was no response except for the gentle creaking of the boat as it swayed with the movement of the water. Jaxon exchanged a glance with Julie before cautiously stepping onto the deck of the Susie Q.

"Stay behind me!" Jaxon mentioned,

The wood beneath their feet groaned softly as they made their way towards the cabin. Jaxon reached for the door, giving it a slight push. It swung open with a creak, revealing the dimly lit interior.

"Ben Willis?" Jaxon called out again, his voice echoing in the confined space.

Still, there was no response.

Julie followed closely behind Jaxon as they entered the cabin, their eyes adjusting to the low light. The air inside was musty, filled with the scent of saltwater and old fishing gear.

There was no sign of life inside the cabin Jaxon couldn't help but feel a little disappointed until he heard Julie squeal, "What's wrong?"

He turned around and looked at where she was pointing, on the wooden wall of the cabin, a collage of newspaper cutouts and photographs was taped onto the wall. All of them featured, the four groups of friends, Helen, Julie, Ray, and Barry.

The photographs were all clearly stolen alongside their frames of their family and them, some of the pictures were even taken discreetly from afar.

"Well, that was easy," Jaxon said a bit taken aback that he really hit the jackpot with his guess, when suddenly he heard the woods creaking behind him.

His eyes opened wide as he instinctively pushed Julie out of the way, turning back to catch the swing fish hook directed at his back, grabbing his arms at the nick of time, Jacob threw a uppercut at the shadowy figure. The hook clattered to the ground as Jaxon's fist connected with the assailant's jaw, sending them stumbling backward.

Julie gasped, her heart racing as she watched the scene unfold before her. She quickly scanned the cabin for any potential weapons, her mind racing with adrenaline-fueled thoughts.

The attacker recovered quickly, lunging forward with a fierce growl. Jaxon ducked out of the way, narrowly avoiding the blows with ease as he assessed his opponent.

Jaxon's years of boxing training kicked in as he danced around the attacker, his movements fluid and precise. He kept his guard up, ready to counter any incoming strikes with lightning-fast reflexes.

The assailant who was dressed from head to toe in the fisherman's garb swung wildly, their movements fueled by rage and desperation. But Jaxon remained calm and focused, waiting for the perfect opportunity to strike.

As the attacker lunged forward once again, Jaxon seized the moment. With a swift sidestep, he dodged the blow and delivered a powerful jab to the assailant's ribs, causing them to stagger backward with a grunt of pain.

Seizing the advantage, Jaxon followed up with a quick combination of punches, landing blow after blow with pinpoint accuracy. Each strike landed with enough force to keep the assailant on the defensive, their movements becoming more erratic with each passing moment.

Despite their best efforts, the assailant couldn't keep up with Jaxon's relentless assault. With one final flurry of punches, Jaxon delivered a knockout blow, sending the attacker crashing to the ground in a dazed heap.

Breathing heavily, Jaxon stepped back, his fists still raised in a defensive stance. He glanced over at Julie, who watched in awe at his display of skill and strength.

"Are you okay?" Jaxon asked, his voice filled with concern as he approached her.

Julie nodded, her eyes wide with adrenaline. "Yeah, I'm fine!"

"Good, can you grab me those ropes," He asked pointing at the corner of the cabin where he had spotted some coiled ropes earlier.

Julie quickly retrieved the ropes and handed them to Jaxon, who wasted no time in securing the unconscious assailant, binding their hands and feet tightly to prevent any further attacks.

With the threat neutralized, Jaxon took a moment to catch his breath, his heart still pounding from the adrenaline rush of the fight.

"I didn't know you could fight like that," Julie commented as she had finally began relaxing a little,

"I was the under-18 state boxing champion, so I am really good," Jaxon flexed his muscles as a joke before he continued, "But this was my first fight outside of the ring, luckily this guy turned out to be completely immature."

"That doesn't matter," Julie shook her head, "It's finally over, right?"

"About that..." Jaxon took off the assailant's hood revealing the young face, "Unless he has a really good skincare routine, I don't think this is Bill."

Jaxon slapped around the assailant a little to see if he would wake up but the boy showed no signs of waking up.

"Well, he doesn't look like he's waking any time soon," Jaxon said as he began scavenging through his pockets, getting his hands on his wallet, he pulled it out, flipping it open to reveal a driver's license.

"Will Willis." Jaxon read his name out loud, "It seems like the father-son duo are both into some freaky shit!" Jaxon looked at Julie, who was staring at the unconscious young man in disbelief.

"Will Willis... Ben's son?" Julie said, shaking her head. "This just keeps getting more complicated."

Jaxon, pocketing the money from the wallet, shoved the wallet back where he found it.

"Let's get him to the police. They might be able to get more information out of him once he wakes up. And we need to tell them everything we've found here."

Julie nodded, and they carefully dragged Will out of the cabin and back onto the deck. The night air was cool, and the moonlight cast eerie shadows on the boat. As they made their way back to the car, Julie couldn't help but glance over her shoulder, half-expecting Ben Willis to appear out of the shadows.

They managed to get Will into the back seat of their car, securing him with the seatbelt to ensure he wouldn't fall over when he woke up. Jaxon got behind the wheel while Julie sat in the passenger seat, her mind racing with thoughts of what this new development meant.

Julie shook her head as she reached for her cell phone, "40 miscalls! It seems something might've happened,"

Julie hurriedly called Helen who immediately picked up the call, "Where are you? I have been calling for an hour!"

"We're by the docks," Julie exclaimed, "Is everything alright?"

"I saw him..." Helen said panic evident in her voice, "He was there at the parade, on the balcony waving his fish hook at me!"

"He will kill me, Julie!" She said in between her sobs, "Please help me! If what he said at the cafe happens... I don't know if I should go to the pageant any longer... I don't know what to do,"

Jaxon grabbed her phone before Julie could say anything, "It's me Jaxon! Relax a little, we're very close to solving this case, so this isn't the right time for you to grow some brain cells."

"Just be at the show as you normally would, both of those guys are still with you, right?"

"Yes..." She said, "Are you sure? I'll be okay, right?"

"I am sure," Jaxon said, "Where are you right now?"

"In the makeup room," She answered as Jaxon's lips started twitching, "So you were already there, sigh! Just stay close to those guys, I'll be there as soon as I can."
