Space Teleportation

"Let's go to Heaven Dou City first. I have an old friend there. He was very kind to me when I was young. I want to visit him." Anping said after some thought.

Gu Yuena looked at him with surprise. "You have a friend in Heaven Dou City? How come I never knew?"

They met in Eastsea City and since then, they were always together. They had never been to Heaven Dou City, and Gu Yuena knew almost everyone Anping knew. None of them lived in Heaven Dou City, let alone being his friends.

Anping noticed Gu Yuena's puzzled expression and explained: "Don't rack your brains. He's just a former neighbor who took good care of me when I was a kid. He moved to Heaven Dou City for work when I was six. You've never met him."

He finished his calculations after a minute. He opened his eyes and began to construct a model of the space teleportation technique. He poured his magic power into it, and a shimmering silver formation appeared at their feet.

The formation emitted a bright silver light that enveloped them. In a flash, they disappeared from the beach and reappeared in the living room of Anping's home in Glorybound City.

He chose his home because it was the place he knew best. It was also the safest place he could think of, where no one would see them.

Gu Yuena looked around and recognized the place. She smiled and said, "That was amazing. Your ability is very convenient for traveling, except for the long activation time. Can you teach me?"

Anping was panting and said in a weak voice, "It's not... easy... it's very... exhausting..."

The space teleportation had drained most of his magic power in a matter of seconds. It was a powerful technique, but it came at a high cost.
