Only then did Ethan know that Tonks was like this because of him.

"It's okay, I don't mind." Ethan stopped Mr. Weasley, who was constantly apologizing to himself.

It just happened that Tonks raised her head and saw Ethan standing at the door.

She lifted her head like an electric shock, picked up a stack of documents, and left as if escaping through the other door.

An Auror in an office noticed the two men standing in the doorway and walked toward Ethan and Arthur Weasley.

"Good morning, Weasley," said the man, his tawny hair and bushy eyebrows with wisps of gray. Behind the gold-rimmed glasses were sharp, majestic yellow eyes like an old lion.

"Weasley, who is this?" The man stared at Ethan, his eyes on Ethan's eyes for a long time.

"This is Ethan." Mr. Weasley enthusiastically introduced Ethan to the man.

"Ethan, this is Rufus Scrimgeour, the head of the Auror office," Mr. Weasley said, introducing the man to Ethan.

"Hello, Ethan, welcome to the Ministry of Magic." Rufus Scrimgeour held out his hand and shook Ethan.

Although Rufus Scrimgeour's mouth was welcoming, his tone was rather cold, without any hint of enthusiasm.

Ethan could feel that Rufus Scrimgeour's attitude was inseparable from the Tonks affair.

Mr. Weasley also felt that the atmosphere was not right, so he hurriedly said, "Rufus, then I will take Ethan to find Ms. Bones first."

Rufus Scrimgeour said nothing, just nodded, and returned to the Auror's office, closing the door.

The two passed through the oak gate into another hallway and turned to the left.

A door on the left is slightly opened, and a broom room can be seen. A faded brass sign on the door read the Misuse of Muggle Artifacts Office.

Mr. Weasley's office was dark, shabby, and slightly smaller than a broomroom.

Two desks were crammed inside, and a filing cabinet line overflowed along the wall.

There were still rickety bundles of documents on top of the cabinets, and there was hardly any room beside the table for people to move their hands and feet.

Judging by the little available space on the wall, Mr. Weasley's posters and several car advertisements, one of which showed a dismantled engine, could be seen.

He appeared to have cut two illustrations of letter boxes out of a Muggle children's book and a diagram of how to install the sockets.

"There are no windows here," said Mr. Weasley apologetically, taking off his bomber jacket and draping it over the back of his chair.

"Ethan, Amelia Bones's office is over there." Mr. Weasley pointed Ethan in the direction.

"With her name on the door, do you want me to take you there? Ethan?" asked Mr. Weasley.

"No, I can go by myself." Ethan refused Mr. Weasley's help and walked in the direction he pointed.

When passing by a women's toilet, Ethan heard the sobbing sound coming from it, and Ethan recognized it immediately. It was Tonks' voice.

Since it was a women's toilet, Ethan couldn't go in directly, so he waited at the door. He wanted to solve this inexplicable misunderstanding with Tonks.

After waiting a while, the toilet door opened, and Tonks came out with red eyes.

As soon as she left, she saw Ethan standing at the door. She exclaimed, wanting to run away subconsciously, but Ethan grabbed her arm.

"Why are you avoiding me?" Ethan asked directly.

It's okay not to say it, but it suddenly hit Tonks' sadness as soon as I mentioned this.

Tonks burst into tears again. "If you hate me, why did you agree to date me? You can tell me directly instead of writing it on paper and letting everyone know I'm an idiot!"

Tonks cried out loudly.

"When did I say I hated you?" Ethan asked back.

"I read the paper!" Tonks cried.

"That's what it says in the papers! I'm a foolish female Auror who doesn't deserve a promising hero like you, right?"

Tonks struggled to get his arm out of Ethan's grasp.

"Tonks, I swear I didn't say those words, and I didn't hate you," Ethan said to Tonks sincerely.

Tonks flipped the switch and stopped struggling, "What do you mean? You're trying to lie to me again, right?"

"The papers are all made up, and I don't hate you at all."

Ethan leaned closer to Tonks' face and said to Tonks word by word.

Tonks was stunned; she didn't know what to do, and she didn't expect this situation at all.

"So you don't hate me?" Tonks continued to confirm in disbelief.

"You are such a good girl; how could I hate you?" Ethan said this deliberately to relax Tonks.

He also wiped a tear from Tonks' face with his finger.

"God, I don't know what to say now." Tonks' pale face turned alluring red.

"Let go of it; I won't struggle anymore," Tonks whispered. Then she realized that her words seemed ambiguous, and her face flushed red.

"So, what do you think about that one thing?" Tonks stared at the toes of his shoes, shaking his hands together, ultimately daring to look at Ethan's face.

"I think we can see each other alone," Ethan whispered in Tonks' ear.

At that moment, Tonks stopped breathing, and after hearing Ethan's words, Tonks let out a long breath.

"Oh, that's great." Tonks flushed red when he realized he had said something stupid.

"Then what are we supposed to do now?" Tonks asked, looking forward to something in her heart.

"Now It's time for us to work, and Chief Bones is waiting for me," Eason said.

Tonks froze for a moment, then quickly realized that Ethan was joking.

"Ethan, you bastard!" Tonks also laughed, hammering Ethan twice.

"Alright! Alright!" Ethan joked with Tonks for a while and pinched Tonks' arm.

"I'm going to see the director, and you can find me in my office later, okay?" Ethan said softly in Tonks' ear, and he blew into Tonks' ear.

Tonks seemed very sensitive. Her body softened immediately. She nodded silently, his face flushed red.

Ethan then let go of Tonks and escorted her to the door of the Auror's office.

"See you later," Ethan said to Tonks.

Tonks blushed and nodded, returning to his seat in the office.

Her mind recalled the scene just now, sometimes sweet, sometimes shy.

"Tonks, I'm so glad you figured it out!" The Auror sitting next to Tonks said happily.

At first, Tonks wondered what it meant, but then she realized that her hair had turned back to a bright pink.
