Recollection of a memory

Zhou Bingbing and Zhou Liying arrived at a mall that was owned by the Zhou corporation. Their shadow guards were secretly following after them, to protect them from unseen danger, especially to protect Zhou Liying. She had many enemies.

The moment both arrived, they garnered the attention of many other people. They both were sophisticated and beautiful ladies so it was no big deal for them to gather all the attention.

Zhou Liying was wearing a dark blue coloured jumpsuit which highlighted her model-like figure, her black hair was tied in a front ponytail.

Zhou Bingbing wore a simple black crop top with white shorts, her blue hair was left open.

They both were looking killer in their attires.

"Lili, look at this dress, isn't it beautiful?" Zhou Bingbing looked at a dress on display with glitter in her eyes.

"I don't get it. You are a designer then how can you like the designs of other designers?" Zhou Liying groaned with the roll of her eyes.

"You will not understand but an artist like me can never like her own creation. For me, the designs of other artists are way better than mine."

Zhou Bingbing was a pro when it came to shopping. She bought many dresses, bags, footwear, and other accessories for herself and Zhou Liying. Zhou Liying was following her and gave her suggestions from time to time.

After their shopping spree, they were on their way back when the eyes of Zhou Liying fell upon a couple necklace, displayed in a shop. Her breath hitched and she dropped dead in her tracks.

She placed her hand over her chest feeling immense pain. At that moment, an image flashed in front of her eyes, an image of herself wearing the same couple necklace.

Standing on the one hundred and sixth floor of one of the tallest buildings of Shanghai was a man. A man so beautiful and handsome as if he just came out from some popular K-drama, with a razor like sharp chin and a pointed nose.

With a height of six feet one inch, a slim body full of muscles, eyes as dark as ink, and a dark aura surrounding him, he looked no less than a devil, a devil liked by most of the girls.

His charisma was so strong that he could make any girl fall on her knees, with his single glance.

This man was none other than, Mu Yuehan, CEO and owner of the top empire of China, Mu corporations.

Mu corporation was one of the leading corporations in the world dealing in every kind of business, from FMCG products to shipyards. Not only that, but it was also leading in all the businesses, and the reward for all this success solely went to Mu Yuehan.

Mu Yuehan was looking out from the window at the beautiful view of the city which looked so small from where he was looking at it.

An iPhone was in one hand while in the other, he was holding a couple necklace, the same necklace which Zhou Liying saw in the mall. The only difference was, that the necklace in his hand was made of pure platinum and the diamonds craved in it were real and very expensive.

"Any new news about her?" He asked his private investigator, Wang Wei, over the phone. There was a lot of hope in his voice.

"Sorry boss, but we did not find anything. All her traces end in Paris."

"Mm, keep searching for her. I am sure, soon enough, we will find a lead."

He ended the call and placed his phone in his pocket. He angrily punched the floor to ceiling glass window.

For the last four years, he was looking for her. He hired the best team to search for her. But he still was not able to find her. Every time he thought he found her, every time she vanished in thin air.

"Where are you, TianTian? I miss you." His voice was hoarse and full of pain. His eyes were full of guilt and pain. "I am sorry. I shouldn't have lied to you. Please forgive me. Please come back to me."

There was a knock on his office door and entered his secretary, Li Tao.

"Boss, Mister Han is here. Should I let him in?" He asked with caution, well aware that at this time of the day, for five minutes, his boss remembered his long-lost love. At this time, he let her memories took control of him.

"Let him in." Mu Yuehan replied and returned to his seat. His guilt-ridden eyes were now looking sharp and clear, as if he was a lion, ready to attack his prey.

"Mister Han, it's so good to see you." Mu Yuehan smiled, a crafty smile on seeing Mister Han. His smile widened upon seeing the scowl and hidden anger on the face of the old man.

Mister Han walked toward his table and passed a file to him. "Here are my property papers. Now get my son released from the jail." He ordered, keeping it in his mind as to whom he was talking to.

Mu Yuehan picked up the file and looked at the property papers. A victorious smile appeared on his lips. His eyes sparkled with ruthlessness.

"Let him rot in the jail for some more time." Mu Yuehan securely placed the file down.

"What do you mean by this?" Mister Han fumed. "You have promised to get my son released if I give you my property papers. You can't go against your words."

"I promised to get him released, but I did not tell you the date." Mu Yuehan said in a matter of fact tone, completely enjoying the plight of Mister Han.

"You ruthless man, how can you do this with my family? First, you threw my son in jail to get my property papers and now you are rejecting to bail him out. You…." Mister Han banged hard on the table in Mu Yuehan's office and fumed angrily.

"Careful Mister Han. Don't forget, I can keep your son in jail for a lifetime." Mu Yuehan threatened and immediately Mister Han took his hand away from his table.

"You are cruel. People are right when they say you are heartless."

"Yes, I am cruel and you are lucky that you got to see the cruel me." Mu Yuehan chuckled. For Mister Han, at that moment, he looked no less than a devil from hell.

Mister Han looked at him before leaving the office brokenheartedly. He lost his everything to this devil in the disguise of a human.

Mu Yuehan looked at his leaving figure and thought to himself, 'Yes, I'm heartless. I am heartless because she has taken away my heart, leaving me hollow.'
