Doom of someone

After some time, Mister Han returned with the ice cream for Zhou Liying in his hand. He served her.

"How much for this ice cream?" Min Yue asked and opened a payment app on her phone.

"It's for free. Miss Qin is here at my shop after so many years, how am I to ask for money from her?"

Min Yue looked at Zhou Liying for further orders. Zhou Liying nodded at her. "Thank you for the ice cream, Mister Han."

Zhou Liying took a bite of the ice cream. She smiled, feeling the familiar taste melting on her tongue. "It still tastes the same."

"I am glad to hear that." Mister Han smiled. "I wish to see you again and again, miss Qin."

Zhou Liying then nodded to Min Yue. Min Yue climbed into the car and took her seat. Then their car was moving toward their next destination.

A black Maybach stopped in front of one of the largest buildings in the city. Guards ran toward the car and opened the door for the owner to step out.

Zhou Liying stepped out of the car and looked at the building, which was going to be her new castle. The building was non-other than the building of the Zhou corporations.

It was one in the night but looking at the hustle and bustle in the building, no one could tell about the time.

Zhou corporations worked for twenty-four seven in a week. There were three shifts of employees. The employees who had some other work during the day preferred to come to the company for their work during the night time.

There were different appointed guards, managers, receptionists, and other employees who changed their shifts from time to time.

"Good to see you, Miss." The guards who recognised Min Yue bowed in the direction of Zhou Liying.

Shanghai branch was intimated about the visit of Zhou Liying to Shanghai, a day back by Zhou Yonge. He knew Zhou Liying did not want her face to become known to the employees of the company.

So, he attached a photo of Min Yue with his email, stating that the lady with Min Yue was their new CEO, so employees could recognise her without making a fool of themselves.

Zhou Liying entered the corporation and made her way toward the receptionist. Her eyes widened when she saw the receptionist talking over the phone instead of doing her work.

Not just that, but the receptionist also had her legs placed over her work desk which was not liked by Zhou Liying.

"Is she here to work or rest?" Min Yue murmured and looked at the receptionist with hate and disgust. After staying by the side of Zhou Liying, she too hated tardy people like her or the person who neglected their work.

Min Yue looked at the face of Zhou Liying. Seeing her dark expressions, Min Yue knew tonight was going to be the last night of that receptionist as the receptionist of Zhou corporations.

"Excuse me." Zhou Liying knocked on the reception and glared at the receptionist.

The receptionist was so engrossed in her chat with her boyfriend over the phone that she did not take notice of Zhou Liying.

"Get me a jug filled with ice and cold water." Zhou Liying ordered.

Min Yue nodded her head and asked one of the guards to give her a jug filled with icy water.

"Here miss." Min Yue then passed the jug to Zhou Liying.

Zhou Liying took the jug of water and walked behind the reception desk, behind the chair of the receptionist. The receptionist was still unaware of the presence of Zhou Liying.

Mercilessly, Zhou Liying poured the ice with water all over the receptionist. The receptionist yelled and jumped off her chair, feeling ice all over her body. Cold water seeped inside her clothes, making her shiver.

"How dare of you to pour cold water all over me?" she yelled. "Do you have any idea that I am a much-favoured receptionist of Zhou corporation?"

"Not for long." Zhou Liying replied coldly. "Because I fire you. I cannot have a lazy ass like you working in my corporation."

"And who are you to fire me?" The receptionist glared at Zhou Liying with confidence. At the same time, Min Yue walked toward her.

"She is the CEO of the Zhou corporations." Min Yue announced. The eyes of the receptionist widened. She recognised Min Yue. With recognition, she then looked at Zhou Liying.

The receptionist shivered, feeling the icy glare of Zhou Liying. "No, please don't fire me. Please forgive me. I will not repeat the mistake like today. Please don't fire me."

Without wasting any time, the receptionist fell on the feet of Zhou Liying. She knew she was doomed. She was not only caught lazing when at work, but she also dared to raise her voice on her boss.

"Guards take her away." Zhou Liying ruthlessly pushed the receptionist. Guards also entered inside and took a hold of her. She kept begging, but no one heard her.

"Wait." Zhou Liying stopped the guards when they were about to throw the receptionist out of the building. "Before leaving, tell me the directions to the manager's office."

"Manager Wang? He is not in the office." Receptionist replied.

"Then, where is he?" Zhou Liying narrowed her eyes. "Has he gone to attend some meeting at this hour of the night?"

The receptionist could lie to save the ass of Manager Wang. But she was domed, and she wanted to drag down other people with herself.

"No miss. I am sure, currently, he is in some bar or pub. He rarely stays in the office for long. His slacking off is the reason that others have also started to neglect their work."

Min Yue shook her head, knowing well that the manager was also gone. Besides, Zhou Liying had already offered to her team of managers in London to shift to Shanghai. She was in no need of such slacking managers like Mister Wang.

After taking the directions to the office of Mister Wang, Zhou Liying made her way toward his office.
