Chapter 28
Jinx had refused to marry the man the king had ordered her to. And this wasn't the first time. Each year, her uncle would forgive her thinking she would ever agree to be with a man but Jinx was busy with her goal, she wanted to find her lost brother. He has been lost for five years straight and everyone seems to have given up on him but Jinx never did, she spent her time doing research and learning science with the other boys.
She was still not married, so the people of the KINGDOM OF ODD had been spreading rumors about the king not being a responsible leader. As the king, he had to send her off to another kingdom to be married and Jinx was supposed to be sent to the most powerful kingdom in order to gain favor from them in times of war.
That has been their law for a long time, each time a princess would be married to the most powerful kingdom their Kingdom grew in popularity.
However, on her wedding day, Jinx ran away from the marriage ceremony just before the groom appeared. The king, afraid that his reputation would be tarnished, ordered his men to kill her. That way she won't cause trouble with another kingdom.
He instructed his most trusted man, General Kai, to kill her. But General Kai had his own plans. He decided to sell her instead to the slave establishment for good money. This way, Jinx's uncle wouldn't see her ever again.

Benjamin screamed when he saw Jinx was about to be killed by the Slave driver. Quickly he dashed his way back and just before the spiked whip could strike her, he threw himself on the ground and pulled her leg out of the way then the whip lashed behind her.
The spectators were amazed at his actions. They had never seen a slave that didn't care about his life like Benjamin. But that turned around when they saw Benjamin do something unexpected.
[ Opponent detected, would you like to kill him?]
[ Yes] [ No ]
Benjamin didn't think twice before he selected the yes command. Suddenly he felt as if his body was being controlled by someone. He felt as if his strength had been doubled. His heart rate accelerated twice its normal speed then he got up from the ground and pulled Jinx aside then quickly he picked the end of the whip when the guard wasn't looking.
The guards never expected this to happen, whenever they used their whips it came resting on the ground and Benjamin used that opportunity to grab it. The tip of it had long blades that marched the size of knives.
He jumped up high and jabbed the blade exactly at the guard's throat. Suddenly the slave driver stood still as he choked on his own blood. Then slowly he fell on the ground racing dust.
Ding!! *You have saved a life*

Right after he killed the wolf creature, his strength returned to Normal.
Benjamin heard all those dings! But never cared to open the system screen. Also all these messages that through his head felt good and in a way he felt like doing it again.
Jinx wasn't even aware he actually killed a werewolf so quickly. "Let go" he held Jinx by her shoulders and brought her back to running.
The crowd were stupefied. They just saw a slave, brave enough to kill a slave driver? Was he some kind of a creature? Over the years no human has ever touched a werewolf but this boy standing in the arena made it look so easy after killing him.
" Is this possible?" Some of the slave executives questioned themselves.
"I don't think so, The slave drivers are not any other creatures, they are wolves"
"Can it be that he wasn't strong, that is why he got killed by that boy?"
" No My Lord, Before a wolf becomes a slave driver , he must pass through certain training."
"The kid must be very strong then, no wonder he is protecting that red haired girl" Said the man with the hood. " I am going back to Earth! Give me the updates when I return" just like that he materialized into the air.
The crowd was shaken about what they just witnessed, they came here to watch the slaves suffer but instead one of their own has been killed by just a boy. And not any other boy, A human!!!
The warden stood up immediately, "Guards!!" His voice was loud enough for everyone to hear. "Kill that boy!!"
Right after that, the size of the guards doubled, another set of guards came out from the ordinance, the heights and body was large enough to cause fear and panic to the human slaves.
Benjamin and Jinx was still lacking behind, And Jinx was the most shocked amongst the people, for a moment she thought she was done and the next moment, Benjamin had killed the slave driver by stabbing him with his own whip.
"Get him!!" Benjamin turned around to notice that four creatures were running behind them. Afraid, he quickened his steps. The sun was burning his skin but that didn't seem to bother him, because he is in a near death situation.
It wasn't long then that he catched up with the rest, he didn't know but after he killed that wolf his speed had increased. He managed to pass at the last 15. Soon he managed to pass the rest of the until he reached top ten.
He turned around to see Jinx sweating whilst being pulled by him. She was slowing him down. But as he looked yonder, he saw the guards were now killing most of the slaves behind him. They didn't wait for the one minute and another Sharp whip lash out on a young boy almost a year older than Benjamin.
After that boy killed their own, they lost it. All they wanted to do was to kill as many useless slaves as possible. At least that will strike fear into the others not to do so.
A man trampled on someone else's ankle and fell face first on the ground. He raised his head only to have a sharp object parting through his scalp. The rest screamed after seeing this. That man was a father. He came here because he own the king
"Get him faster '' One of the guards yelled to the others then they dropped their weapons and bent down. They tore through their clothes until their animalistic nature was revealed. Then they galloped on all four, racing through the last 80 Slaves.
Many suffered their sharp claws and many died before they saw what killed them. They swiped their large claws weeding out humans out of their way.
The crowd cheered because they had seen what their hearts desired ; too much blood.
The wolves tore through the slow ones while running.
The slaves had reached the last lap. Everything became blurry to most of them as they ran. Their throat was burning and their heart was failing. Many fell to the ground and got killed by the raged animals chasing behind. Benjamin looked again and noticed almost half of the slaves were on the ground bleeding. And some of them were killed brutally.
Benjamin felt his own heart sounding in his ears, his ears were ringing and his fast steps had reduced. But there were few more meters a head of him, if he gave up, the slave drivers won't just kill him they might torture him as well.

His HP has reduced but he knew it wasn't the end yet. He clenched his teeth as all his life flashed in front of his eyes. Then he thought of Clara. After he went through the portal he wasn't really sure someone else followed and even if they did, why can't he see them around.
Then Vanessa came to his mind. He never really knew whether Vanessa survived the boat crash or not. But he hoped she wasn't dead. Since he survived he was expecting to meet her someday and tell her the truth.
All he needed to do now was : push through his fatigue and move faster.
Jinx screamed after hearing the sound of animals galloping near them. This time they were killing everybody, and aiming to kill both of them as well.
They hear screams behind them. The sound of flesh being torn apart could be heard while the crowd laughed in sync.
"Benjamin hurry!!" They were among a few other slaves. It was left with just Fifteen steps before they reach the finish line, and if they did it means they had survived the first stage of their training and would be proceeded to the next stage of exercise.
One whip swung at them. Benjamin didn't know but he felt like bending over and just as he did, he heard the whip passing right above his head.
"Hurry!" He heard Jinx yell but he was far to tiered to run. His feet were hurting, and his heart was pumping hard.
Near hyperventilation, Jinx pulled Benjamin behind. She used all the strength she had left to run forward. Benjamin has saved her life twice and she had to pay him back this time.
"Kill him, before he gets to the finish line" The warden yelled on his stage.
" Why are you so eager kill that boy! Don't you enjoy the show?" General Duke asked as his friend came to sit.
"I am just displeased that my man died" He said in shame. " You haven't told me why you chose to visit us today"
"Come on. You know as the headmaster I always recruit students with special abilities and I came here to pick one of the slaves and I think I know who I will pick"
