The following day,

Claire arrived the office very early in the morning, though she didn't come earlier than Albert who was seen arranging the reception office

"good morning Albert"Claire greeted "good morning, you came early to work today" "yea, I decided to come early today to make up for yesterday"

"alright then, have a wonderful day" Albert said and Claire went to her office.

Workers started trooping in, but Jeff and McDonald were still not in the company 'I thought they said we are going for a meeting' Claire asked herself, she quickly discarded the thought and went back to work.

Morning prayers were held without Jeff and McDonald, Claire began to feel worried 'has something happened to Jeff' she began to feel concerned about Jeff

'why should be worried about someone who has a thousand police officers to protect him, why do I think it's my responsibility to protect him'. Claire was lost in thought that she forgot that prayers were over, it was until someone tapped her, she realized herself and appreciated the person.

She walked to back to her office, trying not to feel worried about Jeff, she thought of calling him, but refrained from doing so. She sat on her chair and breathed in deeply, suddenly she heard voices outside, the voices were that of Jeff and McDonald but this time around they sounded angry,

Claire picked up her laptop and some files containing information about the meeting and went outside, the scene she saw was very alarming.

McDonald was on a phone call and was screaming on the top of his voice, seemed like he had a heated argument with the Person on the other line, while Jeff was on a video call, the look on his face was that of a hungry lion, he looked very deadly while having a conversation with the with person though he wasn't screaming like McDonald but his tone sounded really dangerous.

It took a while for Claire to regain composure, she watched the two, the duo hanged up the call simultaneously and both looked furious, Claire gathered all the courage she had to talk

"good morning, aren't we going for meeting" neither McDonald nor Jeff replied her question, they just walked past her, Claire had always been humiliated in her life but this particular one hit her because it was from Jeff, she suddenly got angry, she walked back to her office, kept the laptop on the table and sat on the small sofa with her arms folded at her chest, she still couldn't believe that Jeff actually snubbed her, she was still contemplating her next action when McDonald barged into her office "it's time to go" that was the only thing McDonald said before leaving her office, Claire went outside with her laptop. Jeff and McDonald were already in the car when Claire arrived, she entered the car and they drove to the company.

The trio arrived the company, they walked into a large hall, the projector was on already and all that McDonald needed to do was to connect his system, he was handed over a pointer

"good morning everyone" McDonald greeted "good morning"everyone responded "as you all know that we are here for partnership, my company wants to go on a promo which means that we will have to reduce the price of our goods, this will also cause people not buying from other flour producing companies" McDonald said,

"what? I should sponsor your company for this rubbish" the man spoke "excuse me sir, but the promo isn't rubbish" Claire spoke confidently "thank you McDonald I will take from here" Claire said and McDonald sat down

"my boss's PA had mentioned the profits of partnering with us, here are the consequences, first the people buying your product will drop and my company will have a higher number of people buying theirs, even after the promo, my company has 75% chances that people will continue to buy from them, your company will suffer a great loss sir" Claire said

The drive back to the company was a long and tiring one because of the traffic jam, silence reigned in the car until they got to the company, coming down from the car, Claire wanted to go to her office but a strong force didn't allow her, she turned to look at what was stopping her from moving, Jeff held her hand firm and pulled her towards himself, McDonald looked at them before going inside, "you did wonderful well out there, am proud of you" thank you" "you want to have lunch with me today" "yes, that will be nice" " bring any female colleague of your choice" "thanks" Claire finally said and went back to work
