The Look In Their Eyes

Also even if she's great at acting I can see that in her eyes she looks at me as though I'm just a lowly insect that she can walk on.

I've always been able to read people like a book. I can't read their social behavior if that's what your thinking. You can tell someone's emotions just by the look in their eyes.

Also I've seen Matilda before and she has never once glanced at me. The look in her eyes is one of greed so I guess she's being paid for doing this.

"It's nice to see you again Buddy." The person that said these words were said by a gentle voice. I stopped my ongoing thoughts to turn around and look at the owner of the voice. 'Speak of the Devil'

right in front of me was the same greedy woman named Matilda. I forced a smile and tried responding in a joy filled voice "Hello Ms Matilda!"

I still had to act like I did before I knew about my past life. I looked into her greed filled eyes and got up from my spot on the pure white floor. I then ran over and hugged her, I know Matilda didn't like me hugging her in her eyes it's the same as a cockroach suddenly climbing up your leg.

I let go of Matilda's leg and once again put on the fake smile. "My you are certainly energetic today aren't you?" Matilda said with her gentle voice. To anyone else it just looked like a harmless little question but I can see the irritated look in her eye.

"well now I have to go sadly but next time I'll spend some extra time with you." Matilda says this every time she goes away earlier than she's supposed to but never lives up to the promise. I hope she never does, I don't like spending time with her and my cheeks eventually go numb from smiling whenever she stays to hang out with you.

Matilda smiled at the innocent looking child then turned around and left through the long hallway filled with traps, walls and anything else to prevent the child from going outside.

Once she finished locking and resetting the traps Matilda let out her built up irritation "the nerve that little shit has to come up to me and hug me is unacceptable but I can't do anything about it because I won't get that raise if i stop pretending! God no one said it was going to be this hard!"

As Matilda let out her frustration she passed by a sign that had a picture of the child she had just visited. This sign read 'Subject 0' next to the sign their were other framed photos of children all of them had subject numbers underneath but non of the numbers went as low as 0.

Sorry for the short chapter I promise the next one will be longer. By that I mean at least 800 words.
