Chapter 43

Archie opened his eyes to the sound of the door opening. he had been locked up since the attack on the research hideout.

He looked up to see his superior walk in.

"Are you finally awake ?" she said sitting down ."Now that you look fully conscious care to tell me what happened to our most secure research hideout"

He knew who she was, the most notorious leader in their organisation, Natie Leslily.

"We were attacked by the Alexander vampire" he answered.

"Okay. And then what?... our men were more than capable of handling that situation but something happened. They knew every corner of that place like someone had told them beforehand" she said.

Archie smirked, "what do you mean ?..none of my men would even betray us"

"I know but what about someone who knew the whole place and wasn't on good terms with you "Her eyebrows raised and Archie breathed, "My brother would be..."

"But he did, we have the security proof showing him to give the prints of this place to Avril Alexander. And for that..." Archie frowned as tears formed in his eyes .." he was killed for treason to his family and organization"

"No...I beg you. you can't do that to him. he only did that out of anger. if anyone is to be killed it should be me " he cried.

"You will... soon...., but after you complete your mission. and until then you can't join your brother wherever he is "She got up.

Archie felt every inch of his body ache, the tears streamed down his face. He knew it was his fault if he hadn't let him go after that argument. They had created a special bond with Lina to be broken by what she was. For him to have betrayed the organisation and his brother must have not taken much.

But now he was dead, what was going to do, he cried.

"Will he be able to do it, he raised her like family"

Natie smiled, "But we're still able to keep doing our experiment. He's just like his parents not weak-minded like his brother. He will do it"

"We need to get the experiment back before she fully turns into a vampire. If she's with those annoying vampires then she's bonded to anytime" Samuel said.

He was the owner of the organisation, a stone-cold vampire hater, just like his forefathers.

"I understand, we already have her location, he will leave as soon as possible," she said.

"Don't worry, his father is as cute as him" Avril's mother smiled.

He had been summoned by his father, and they were on their way. Lina had refused to tag along but was eventually persuaded by Avril.

"I want him to meet you" he had said and now here she was sitting next to him as they drove to his father's location.

"Can I ask why he doesn't stay with you guys?" she asked.

"He hates humans and their revolving technology," his mother said.

"He just prefers being in a quiet place, Father claims the city is noisy" added Avril...
