Chapter 42

"She has been inside her room for days and after what happened she needs to feed"

Richard frowned turning to Avril's mother, "What do you mean to feed, Lina isn't a vampire"

"You got it wrong then. She has always been one. The drugs they gave her not only suppressed her powers so she never had the need to drink blood". She explained. "and now that she's not getting it anymore, her memories are back and the torture her body went through awakened that side of her".

Avril and his mother turned

Tony gulped as he walked in, he was from upstairs to give Lina her breakfast.

"Boss" they all turned to him. Richard and Avril's mother got up.

Tony was holding his neck that was bleeding and his face was pale with fear. Avril was already going up the stairs.

"What happened to you?" he heard them ask.

"She bite me" he cried.

"Huh?"

Avril rushed into Lina's room, noticing the bathroom door close

"Lina, Lina" he knocked

"Am sorry... I didn't mean to hurt him...." she cried.

"I know you didn't," he said hearing her cry. "Can you open the door for me?"

"NO! Don't come in here, she sniffed, it's messed up and I... I.." she turned hearing the door open.

Avril stood in the doorway looking at her, she moved back. The white tiled floor was stained in red and so was the sink, mirror and Lina.

"Am sorry, I don't know what happened... all the blood just came back" she cried her hands moving to cover her mouth but he grabbed them instead stopping her action.

"No one is going to blame you, Lina, calm down" he whispered in her ear.

Leaning in on his shoulder, her warm tears touched his skin through the shirt. He sighed carrying her and walked back to the bedroom.

His mother and Richard walked in seeing her hiding in Avril's arms.

She got closer, "Hi sweetie, are you okay?"

Lina didnt move, "Is Tony okay?" they heard her say.

Richard answered, "He is, but we are more worried about you now"

"Am very sorry for what I did, I just..." Avril stopped her again and kissed her forehead.

"Stop apologizing, we are not blaming you and Tony is perfectly fine"

"Maybe scared a little..." chuckled Richard.

Avril glared and he fell silent, "You can leave, go check on Tony"

Richard smirked and walked away.

"Help her clean up while I get her some blood," his mother said following Richard.

Lina looked up when the door closed, "They are not mad?".

"No one is angry at you Lina, 'cause we understand what your going through, especially me 'cause I feel everything you do... and right now you scared, confused and sad" he said.

Her eyes softly looked back at him, "What should I do, Avril. I lost everything, my brothers, my home, my life and even myself" she cried.

He frowned feeling his chest get heavy as her emotions spread through him. Her pain was cold, suffocating and unlimited. Lina was confused ,her all life that she had grown up to love had shattered in just a few days revealing a lot of things she didn't know about herself and now without all that she felt naked, abandoned and lost.

"Lina, if you feel lost I will find you, and right now my family will be yours. And when you have no strength left cause of the pain let me carry that for you too. Just please don't give up on yourself for them. They never saw you as anything but a weapon.... but me" he caressed her face "For me, you are my everything".

She burst out in tears, "But am not good enough for anyone, even my own family never saw me as anything, so why are you so good to me"

Avril smiled the pain in his eyes unconcealed, "Cause I love you, Lina. Since that first night, something moved inside of me.. he rested her hand on his chest," I tried to ignore it, push you away even being cold towards you but you kept coming back and it grew until I couldn't hide it anymore...so when you disappeared I was scared for the first time in my life, scared that I might not be able to tell you how much you mean to me "

Lina could see the fear, anger and desperation in his eyes as the words left his mouth.

"Even with all this mess happening around us, I will always want, need and dote on you unconditionally "

"But my brother said you only wanted my blood "she stammered," cause it's beneficial to you and your parents "

Avril smiled warming her hands," You might not feel the way I do for you Lina but I know you trust me, cause if you didn't you would not be here with me. And that alone means you don't believe that man's words, do you? ".

She shook her head," I do trust you, Avril. It's me I don't trust anymore "

She felt his arms pull her closer, off the bed, down to where he was kneeling. His fingers passed through her hair down to her neck, Lina breathed when Avril jerked her by the neck to his face.

"If you can't trust yourself now, then trust me instead "his voice was almost a whisper right next to her lips.

His breath was warm brushing over her mouth, her half-closed eyes gazed into his and she knew he would do anything for her.

"Can I kiss you? "she heard him ask.

She smiled, nodding. Avril's lips were upon hers in seconds.

The warmth mixed with adoration and desire as he kissed her, Lina moaned holding onto him tightly.

"I love you Lina ,"he said between his kisses.

"I love you too, Avril " she muttered back .
