Run Aldric

Aldric stood in awe as he witnessed a breathtaking scene before him. The sky above was a clear, open expanse of blue, adorned with multiple moons and other celestial objects floating gracefully. Islands, bathed in celestial radiance, dotted the sky, creating a mesmerizing mosaic of vibrant colors. The setting sun added the final touch, casting a warm glow over the entire scenery.

Ding!

A familiar voice echoed in Aldric's mind. It was the System, offering its assistance. [You are advised to use my scanning ability to analyze this unknown floor, so I can provide you with enough knowledge to keep you alive,]the System suggested in its usual human-like tone. Aldric had grown accustomed to the System's voice, often pondering whether it was a human or a magical entity. However, the System remained silent whenever he asked, leaving him with unanswered questions. "Alright, scan the floor," Aldric confirmed, eager to learn more.

"[Beginning analysis... Analyzing... Analysis complete,"] the System displayed the results in front of Aldric's eyes. Another notification appeared, providing him with valuable information. [You are currently on floor 26, part of the Astral Apex. This floor unfolds as a transcendent realm, where islands float amidst cosmic energies. The air is thick with astral particles, shimmering like stardust, and the soft hums of cosmic melodies resonate throughout the ethereal expanse. Narrow bridges, crafted from stones, connect these islands, forming intricate constellations beneath your feet."

The System continued, [On this floor, you will encounter Luminescent Sprites, small and elusive entities that flit between the islands, emitting bursts of astral light. While individually not formidable, their numbers and agility make them challenging opponents. Additionally, there are Stellar Wisps, luminous orbs of concentrated astral energy that hover ominously, responding to any disturbance in the cosmic harmony. They unleash potent astral blasts on intruders.

The boss of this floor is the Celestial Sphinx, a majestic creature with a feline grace and a celestial aura who resides on floor 30. Its body is adorned with constellations that seem to shift and twinkle, and its eyes gleam with the wisdom of the cosmos. With wings that ripple with astral energy, the Sphinx is a master of both celestial magic and agile combat. It guards the passage deeper into the astral mysteries, challenging adventurers to prove their worth in the cosmic dance.]

Intrigued by the mention of cosmic energy, Aldric couldn't help but ask the System for further clarification. "What exactly is cosmic energy?" he inquired. The System responded promptly, [Cosmic energy is a superior form of space energy. It is used throughout the universe to hold everything together.]Aldric's curiosity grew, and he wondered if cosmic energy was responsible for lifting the islands in the sky. [Yes and no,] the System replied, leaving Aldric puzzled. [The magic used to make these islands float is gravitational magic, which is an inferior form of space magic.] System explained.

Aldric's mind was filled with wonder as he absorbed this newfound knowledge. However, his curiosity didn't end there. He pressed further, asking the System about the creator of these dungeons. To his surprise, the System made indifferent sounds in his head, refusing to provide any information on the matter. It was the second time the System had acted differently, the first being when Aldric questioned why his last ability was named "unknown." Uncertain about what to do next, Aldric decided to focus on his current task.

"How do I clear the floors?" Aldric pondered. The System promptly responded, [To clear the floors, you need to reach floor 30 and defeat the guardian that protects the entrance to floor 31.] Aldric understood the objective and began his journey, traversing the floating stone path that connected the islands.

As he walked, Aldric encountered Luminescent Sprites, but managed to handle them with ease. Aldric tried to absorb them but was unsuccessful and was notified that these sprites didn't posses any mana core and were purely made up of cosmic energy.He marveled at the beauty of the floating islands and the intricate bridges of pure light. After an hour of travel, he finally spotted a bright gate on one of the islands. With a sense of anticipation, he entered the gate, and the System notified him that he had successfully entered floor 27.

Floor 27 proved to be vastly different from the previous one. As Aldric set foot on the island, he was greeted by numerous monsters resembling the Luminescent Sprites, but in various shapes. Some took the form of lizards, while others resembled birds. As they noticed Aldric's presence, their eyes glared with hostility, and they began running towards him.

Caught off guard, Aldric's initial instinct was to run. He sprinted, but the number of monsters increased as they joined the chase. A large swarm of creatures pursued him relentlessly. Desperate for safety, Aldric spotted a cave in the distance and made a beeline for it. He entered the cave, hoping to find refuge from the relentless pursuit.

Inside the cave, Aldric's heart raced as he heard noises approaching from behind.

Grweee!

He turned around and exclaimed in frustration, "F**kWhy meeeeee?!"
