True expert!

How come every step on my road to get my time with Eve would be hindered by outside forces? Who did I insult to make things hard for me! 

While I'm usually a calm and composed type of guy, if I get cockblocked every time I feel Eve's sweet body and lips in my hands reach, at some point I won't be able to behave nicely anymore!

"I'm a sorry senior, but I just got promoted to the core sect. While I have my token on me, I believe that the rest of the official work isn't done yet. Since I'm in hurry right now, would you be so kind to just let me pass this time? I will be sure to express my gratitude later on!"

No matter what, I'm already so close to my reunion with Eve. If I drop my humble attitude right now and cause some troubles, not only I might face troubles later on, but more importantly, I will be stalled for even longer!

"There is no way I will allow that! My duty is to control everyone passing through this gate! If you can't shoulder the blame in my place, then scram!"

For God's sake, why is this person acting like a typical entitled young master from all the novels I read back on earth? Would his tastes turn from openings to plugs if he made things easy for me once? When I was reading about those types of characters in the novels, I admit, I enjoyed main characters face slapping them, but who could've known that such people exist in reality as well?!

Wait… Faceslap? Isn't this a good idea? I have silent backing of a damn Sect Master! It surely won't end up hitting me back in my ass later on!

"You don't want to stop me right now. It's not if I can shoulder the blame for you, but if you can handle the consequences of stopping me!"

Since my humble approach didn't work at all, its time to force the events for a bit! Maybe even Bonger will reward me for acting all mighty like in one of the novels I read back on earth?

"What did you say?"

Instead of recognising my might and dignity, this damn guy actually dares to challenge me? What is wrong with his head! I might look like a damn soul hazard cultivator, but my might is far greater than that!

"I just asked you to sit your dirty ass back on your cheap chair and stop bothering me!"

This time, I didn't even attempt to play wordy games with him. Every second that I waste on him means second more that will prolong Eve's wait!

"You are courting death!"

Unable to stand my insults, this random cultivator jumped at me. In a flash, I felt overwhelming energy sweeping through the atmosphere. Like a tornado, the air gathered in the surrounding converted in sharp blades before launching at me!

"Preposterous!"

Eager to finally test my strength, I drive my energy in both outer and inner pathways! Just like that, an incomparable might appears in the area out of nowhere, sweeping my opponent attack like a vacuum cleaner taking care of pieces of dust!

I don't exaggerate here! While I can't say I observed it, this is the closest way of explaining how it felt for me. Instead of watching the events, I just felt the changes in the surrounding energy as if it was a part of me! 

The same moment that I started my circulation, a powerfull current appeared that sucked all the energy in the air into my own flow! Just like that, the attacks directed at me joined my own energy circulation, only speeding it up!

As my circulation overwhelmed the nearby atmosphere, this generic gate guardian's face turned white. I guess only now he realised who he angered! Instantly falling to his knees, he smashed his head on the ground while kowtowing!

"Excuse me senior! I didn't know Senior was a true expert and just tried to fulfil my duty! Please, forgive this junior his blindness to see through Senior's greatness!"

Seeing this random cultivator prostrating himself under my feet, I couldn't hold my to my anger. Stopping my cultivation in an instant, I took a moment to calm my energy down.

"It's okay. I'm at fault for not providing necessary documents in the first place. I'm in a hurry so I might've overreacted. Take this small gift as a token of my appreciation of juniors serving their duties seriously."

Dishing out one of the looted items from my first adventure back in the forest, I throw it to the guardian before rushing inside the inner sect. Just before I managed to dash away far enough, I hear the guardian mutter.

"So this what a true expert is like…"

I can't say, hearing this as I dashed to Eve's residence felt rather good. But this encounter made me realise something far more important. As a guardian of the border between the inner and core areas of the sect, this cultivator ought to be at least at the average in the core part. That actually means that while my cultivation is at soul hazard stage, I'm able to match a mind menace experts, and maybe even mortal enlightenment one!

If my assumptions are right, then this tournament will be just a formality, allowing me to earn some rewards while getting on the good side of the entire sect! Since that's the case, all that's left for me is to train hard, avoid breaking any bottlenecks and wrench away the participation token from Baxhar hands!
