CHAPTER ONE: THE START

New York, end of June 2010.

Hi, It's me your Generic Isekai protagonist. You guys can call me 'Stone' for now. I'll give you more of my Info as we progress through the stories, that's if the author ever completes them.

The thing I think sets me apart from all the other protags is probably the fact that I can't or more like I am not allowed to be the 'Hero'.

I am a Wheatstone used to polish the heroes. Teach them a few things either by creating an opponent for them or beating them up and talking to them especially considering that I am in the MCU and not the Marvel comics thankfully...Oh, I think you are misunderstanding something I am not thankful because the MCU is weaker no I am thankful because the heroes and villains are distinct here whereas in the comics everyone is in the grey zone so to speak.

Anyway, Stark just finished his expo a week ago and it's almost time for Dr. Banner to come to New York, I am waiting on the system to give me the mission. Let me explain its functions to you in the meantime.

It's simply called Wheatstone. It has the following functions

1> Give me Missions that target particular individuals or groups.

2>Transport me across the Multiverse.

3>Give me OP powers during the time of the Mission, based on the universe I am in.

4>Give me any item/items I will need to create/finish the mission but they only last until the mission is complete and I can't use them on myself.

5>Based on the degree of 'Polishing' either grant me a superpower and prop or take away a superpower/prop.

6>Take care of my basic needs.

7>Basic gamer powers without the gamer's body/mind. Meaning, I have an Inventory, Minimap, Quest menu, Status menu, Recovery by sleeping on a bed, 3 save slots, a general lack of presence unless I am actively interacting with the world around me, and barriers making sure I don't do anything inappropriate.

Oh, I also have the option to deactivate the system in which case I lose all of my gamer/mission powers except the inventory until I activate the system again but I get to keep the powers I have earned or bought and return to 'normal' life.

I also have a shop that sells me everything from everywhere but they are crazy expensive and I can only buy using something called rescue points which I get from rescuing NPCs from the tragedy I create and I get massive temporary discounts based on the degree of danger from my mission to the 'NPC's the lower the threat the higher the discount but I can't cheat it by triggering the mission in a noman's land. There are other constraints but Let's talk about them on another day.

Inventory: A stack of infinite Multiversal currency, Multiversal Id, A Capsule Mansion, A simple set of self-healing/self-cleaning clothes, A giant collection of clothes male/female/children, A collection of cool cars, A collection of cool bikes, A collection of books(covering all subjects and entertainment), A collection of furniture, A collection of Toys and 'Toys', A collection of tools, A collection of all sorts of equipment and survival tools in massive quantities, Enough food to feed a small town for years(all kinds of food), seeds of all kinds of plants, A few kilotons of seasoning, A lot of different kinds of soil and a large lake of water, A glacier, A collection of cold weapons(with multiple copies), All the hot weapons and a mountain of ammo, A collection of Jets, Tanks, Boats, etc. Tons of raw materials(Threads, ores, nuts, bolts, etc)(In the future all this will be called MISC).

If you are shocked by my inventory don't be, I have infinite cash, an ID that lets me buy anything, and a probability that I might go to a world without anything modern and never go to modern civilization and I am a hoarder need I say more?

Now let me explain my stats

'Physique' deals with everything related to my body like Vitality, Strength, Agility, Perception, etc.

'Mind' deals with everything related to the mind like Int, Wis, Memory, etc.

'Spirit' deals with everything related to the 'soul'.

All skills are based on the three of them or a combination of the three.
