11: Why and Where?

Marsha was still lying on her side alone on her bed. The cloth under her body that felt cold, as well as the thick blanket that covered part of her body up to her chest, seemed unable to make Marsha feel the warmth. The universe is getting colder as the season's change and soon Christmas will arrive followed by a new year.

Marsha felt a loneliness that was quieter than before. Years, months, and weeks which were made up of a series of days that previously seemed to go fast, now feel so slow and stifling. Marsha changed her sleeping position on her back, staring at the ceiling of the room which still looked pure white. Marsha pushed the breath in her chest cavity that felt tight and kept her eyes awake until the memories in her memory came back one by one like a movie being replayed.

The destiny of everyone's life is not always as expected. Marsha just wants to live her day as it is, God's line that she got. Marsha no longer thinks about the desire or desire for love, looking to fill her long-empty heart. Domestic failure leaves trauma and prolonged pain. The loss of a child who was previously thought to be due to an ordinary accident, before the truth was revealed if the big loss was an evil plan that should have been directed at him. Marsha slumped in misery, missing her son unspeakably.

Marsha is not sure if she will be able to open her heart again, trying to start again carving out her new life story until the appearance of Trevor Brown. Relationships that exist only with togetherness without commitment. Doubt about a commitment that does not bind anyone. Marsha is not sure about commitment. The promise of her marriage to Igor Bulgakov was only a promise, a small family that felt like hell.

Marsha is not sure about Trevor Brown's sincerity, he is nothing more than a man without guts who hides behind the power of his mother, Rachel Brown. Social strata and unequal status always hit Marsha every time her love story was about to begin, even though it became a scary shadow that always haunted her.

Enjoying solitude by immersing herself in busyness, a career that has always been maintained with a good reputation has become Marsha Anderson's escape. Until the reappearance of Trevor Brown, the story that Marsha wanted to eliminate. All his stories with Trevor are not worth continuing, Trevor is still the same person with the same thoughts and guts. Rachel's dominance in Trevor's life remains as dominant as the years go by. Trevor's marriage to Lana Dorrance is the end that life has outlined. There is no turning back for Marsha Anderson's love story with Trevor Brown.

Fate gave another story for Marsha. The appearance of Delia Ashton in Marsha's life has changed everything. Love that Marsha never felt.

Doubt was so pressing at the beginning of the story. Not sure, not believing, even Marsha thought that she was just curious about the figure of Delia Ashton but over time and the sincere attitude that Delia gave to Marsha, the sincerity and feelings that Marsha never got from the love story she once had become more and more confidence.

Long thoughts and considerations that are not easy. Doubt chases with belief, two things that seem to compete to dominate Marsha's soul. A big question mark appears along with the fear that might arise as the world slowly finds out. Loving a woman, loving Delia Ashton who is none other than one of Dr. Lucy Anderson, Marsha's older sisters. Love which in the end became the biggest secret in Marsha's life.

"I'm in love with you, Delia," Marsha mumbled along with the image of Delia that flashed through her mind. The image of how Delia looked at her, smiling, angry, to the ridiculous attitude that colored the trip. Everything still felt like yesterday to Marsha. She didn't really know who Delia was. Marsha also feels that she failed to maintain a relationship. Indecisiveness and doubt still come over. Past wounds, and broken trust over and over in the previous story made Marsha doubt Delia.

Two people who have a past with trust issues. Not only Marsha who felt disbelief. Delia admits out loud that she doesn't trust Marsha. Pain, sadness, and disappointment brings Marsha to the next big question. "I didn't do the crazy things that women in Delia's previous life did, why would she doubt me?" A question that feels more like a protest.

"She has come into my family so far, making my Mother believe that she is a guardian angel, even though she is nothing more than a bloodsucking female demon." Marsha will never forget the anger in Delia's voice when she told the snippet of her story with Sally Pladys. Her gaze is sharp and has deep meaning. Maybe Delia had been able to get through that heartache, but Marsha knew it wasn't that easy.

"I used Lisa Tan for revenge."

"I only know that they are traveling companions, nothing special."

"I didn't expect that damn woman to use me for her benefit. For money and covert missions."

As if being a loser surrounded by deceitful characters who return to Delia when all of Lisa Tan's lies are revealed. The hidden story between Lisa Tan and Sally Pladys behind Delia and Sally's relationship.

"I still have all the evidence of Sally's madness as well as the lies behind those two."

A secret that is revealed with a revenge story that follows. "I didn't do what they did," sighed Marsha as she got up and sat on the bed with the blankets falling down to her waist. "Why doesn't Delia believe me?" The question then filled all of Marsha's mind. Marsha took a deep breath before she threw herself back, lying on her back with her eyes fixed on the ceiling again.

"Where are you, Delia?" Questions that until now Marsha has not received an answer to. Marsha took a deep breath and exhaled loudly. Marsha has been looking for Delia in places that might be a clue, asking her whereabouts to people who Marsha knows have a closeness that is more than just friends, that figure is none other than Alena Harris or now better known as Alena Felix. A beautiful woman married to a wealthy tycoon, the sole heir to the fortune of the late Olivier Felix.

Alena is not just an ordinary friend to Delia, Alena has a special place for Delia. The two of them have gone through a dark period together, creating a new story that is still binding on both of them. The story that Marsha felt was sweeter to the point that it could not be replaced.

"How is it possible if Alena doesn't know where Delia is?" Marsha thought alone, then rolled over on her side and tried to close her eyes. Pull back the blanket to cover the chest again. A pair of Marsha's eyes stared at the balcony window of her room, which was left open until the night breeze blew, sending a chill that bitten to the bone marrow.

The shadow came slowly and infiltrated Marsha's memory. That afternoon a few days after Delia's departure, leaving only a piece of paper she placed on the hospital bed. With panic, fear of loss, and curiosity about Delia's where abouts, Marsha brought to visit Alena Harris, who was in Boston that day.

Alena didn't seem surprised by Marsha's appearance at her residence. Marsha looks full of sadness. "Sorry if my arrival bothers you," said Marsha to which Alena responded with a smile. The two of them looked at each other in the front room before Alena brought Marsha to the living room which was side by side with the garden beside the luxurious house.

The two of them sat on the sofa, opposite each other. "I'm not bothered by your arrival, Sha. How are you?" Alena asked shortly before a waitress came with a tray containing two cups of tea and a few jars of snacks which were then placed on the table. Alena noticed Marsha who looked sad even though she was still trying to smile. Her eye bags look real with dark circles around them. Pale face, and also a cloudy look. Meanwhile, Marsha did not immediately answer the questions asked by Alena for herself.

"I... Really I'm trying to be nice but I'm sure you know if---"

"We are friends, you can call my name, Sha," Alena interrupted before she took a sip of tea in her cup. Alena was still looking at Marsha from the rim of the cup in her hand. "I know this is a difficult time for you," continued Alena. She bent down to be able to put the cap on the table in front of her.

Alena followed the development of the case which later dragged the name of Marsha Anderson. Starting from the case of an attack on one of her employees, and the murder of Igor Bulgakov, his ex-husband, which turned out to be the name of Dr. Lucy Anderson, a doctor who had treated her psyche. Everyone, not only Alena, can feel how crazy life would be if they were in Marsha Anderson's position.

"Very," replied Marsha curtly.

The two beauties looked at each other. Marsha smiled bitterly. "Everything came together and I…" Marsha hung up on her words, took a deep breath, and exhaled, "…I didn't expect it all. I wasn't ready for all that." Marsha's voice sounded full of sadness.

"I am sorry for all the problems that have occurred. I wish I could help."

Alena said it sympathetically and sincerely. "I wanted to ask about Delia," said Marsha without wasting any more time. She had been convinced by her arrival, her decision to meet Alena Harris. A hunk of hope pinned in Marsha Anderson's mind and thoughts for answers about the whereabouts of Delia Ashton. "Do you know where Delia is right now?" Marsha asked with her eyes fully focused on Alena who looked so calm, there was no surprise on her beautiful face.

Alena swallowed. The image of Delia's figure flashed inside her head along with the question asked by Marsha. A question that didn't come as a surprise to Alena and she had discussed it with Delia. "What if she asks me? What should I tell her, Delia?" The question that Alena asked Delia at that time. "Just tell me if you don't know where I am." Delia's gaze is still fresh in Alena's memory. "You don't need to make up lies, because I won't tell you about the purpose of my trip this time, Alena." The last sentence Delia said with a look full of sadness.

"I'm sure if you know where Delia is right now," said Marsha which made all the images in Alena Harris Felix's memory vanish into the air. A straight smile appeared on Alena's beautiful face, who that day tied all her hair up, showing an innocent face with natural-looking makeup, stunningly beautiful as usual.

Alena had thought of the right answer to give to Marsha Anderson. "Unfortunately I don't know where Delia is right now, Sha," Alena said it calmly even though Alena was sure that Marsha would not believe it that easily with the answer she heard. "I'm sorry," added Alena.
