10: Lots of information

Marsha's car arrived at the Anderson family residence at exactly nine o'clock in the evening. Marsha didn't do much for the rest of the day. Her visit to the hospital was to confirm the where abouts of Jorel Anderson, who is still unconscious.

There was so much work waiting for Marsha that it seemed to fill every corner of the brain in her head. The big house with a minimalist building designed by Lucy stood tall in front of Marsha who was staring from behind the wheel of her car. A building with many beautiful memories, even though there was not a little commotion, the debate between her and Lucy at the dinner table seemed to be a longing that is now starting to overtake Marsha.

Lucy's presence in the rehabilitation center and until now they had not allowed Lucy to meet anyone, her aggressive attitude to attack anyone seemed to be a sign of danger for Marsha's visit. They had said that and Marsha had no choice but to wait for the good news of the many developments, not only Lucy and Jorel but Delia Ashton as well. The burden feels increasingly heavy with her being alone in the midst of the crush of problems that seem endless.

Life will be like that, winding, sloping, full of steep and rocky along with many opportunities that then put everything in the choice. Between wrong and right all have their own meaning. There is nothing wrong, there is no choice that should be condemned because everything is learning.

Marsha was completely alone in the silence of the car she was driving. A car engine that has been turned off. "What should I do now?" Everything was sickening. Marsha lowered her face and pressed her forehead to the steering wheel before her eyes fell on Marsha's two feet who were wearing plain black heeled shoes, matching the dress Marsha was currently wearing.

A knock on the car window made Marsha gasp with her eyes rounded at the window. Found the figure of a man with a badge that he showed in front of Marsha from a closed car window.

The reappearance of Zeke Hillman, the detective immediately brought Marsha to a feeling of alertness and also thoughts that seemed to be running fast.

Marsha got out of the car she was driving while carrying her handbag and laptop bag and then confronted the well-built detective. The man waited for Marsha to get out of the car.

"I didn't expect to see you again, Detective," said Marsha when she was face to face. The two of them looked at each other.

"There are a few things to ask about Lucy Anderson, your sister," Zeke said diplomatically and Marsha just stared before she continued on her way, past the detective's presence and then over the fence. "We should talk inside," said Marsha, and Zeke did not refuse. The man followed behind Marsha, who was the first to climb three steps. Opened the door and let Zeke Hillman into the house with him.

"You want coffee?" Marsha offers.

"No. I came to ask about things about the perpetrators," said Zeke when he and Marsha had sat side by side on the same sofa as Zeke's initial search of Anderson's house, especially Lucy's room.

"What you want to ask?" asked Marsha directly.

"Are you and Lucy not blood-related? I mean you weren't born to a mother who--"

"Yes, we were not born from the same mother's womb," Marsha said quickly with a confession that was quite surprising for Zeke. "I only found out a few months ago and I----" Marsha stopped her sentence, and looked to the side to give herself a breath. "I can't say more than that," continued Marsha, turning her head back to look directly at Zeke who was still staring at him. "Why are you asking about---"

"Did you know your sister had hired someone named Marvelo to investigate the Del Santos couple?" a name that made Marsha freeze on the sofa she was sitting on. The fact that made Marsha surprised. "The Del Santos couple is a syndicate selling narcotics in mainland Latin America. Open that thing I want to ask you. But the truth is that there were two sizable cash flows to a man named Marvelo and also a victim of Igor Bulgakov."

Another fact that made Marsha even more surprised. Her breath seemed to be caught in her throat and he felt excruciating pain. The silence and pause that Marsha used to take in such deep breaths. Draw a lot of oxygen enters the cavity of the lungs. "You don't know that?" Zeke asked which made Marsha blink once more. Marsha could not fully digest her conversation with Zeke. All the information that was conveyed by Zeke had taken Marsha by surprise. Like the flow of thousands of volts suddenly grabbed.

"I didn't know that. Even the information you gave about the Evans family is still shocking." Marsha admits everything and conveys everything as it is even though in Zeke's mind it will cause strange things in the relationship between siblings.

Zeke knows that Marsha and Lucy were not born from the same womb. "How is your relationship with your sister, Lucy Anderson?" The next question was posed by Zeke Hillman.

Marsha swallowed her saliva with difficulty, gathering all the remaining energy that had been near the end of everything Marsha had done all day. "I don't know if Lucy found out if---"

"She must know or… at least suspect Delania Ann's where abouts. Do your families have anything to do with Del Santos?" Questions that lead to a wider range of things.

"I don't know," said Marsha, who didn't want to say anything. The name Delania Ann is the name that has become the cause of the quarrel between Marsha and Jorel until it ends with Jorel falling from the top floor to the bottom stairs.

Zeke just looked at Marsha who looked so tired with her pale face. "Where is your mother, Mrs. Anderson?" Zeke asked probingly.

Marsha licked her lips as she felt the nervousness start to creep up on her. Marsha could only survive as best she could. "My mother fell into a coma after falling down the stairs a few months ago."

"When exactly?" inquired Zeke again.

Marsha didn't answer right away. She looked straight into Zeke's eyes. "Almost a year ago due to bleeding in the brain," Marsha answered according to the results of the examination the doctor gave her.

Zeke just nodded slowly. "The flow of funds is not small. Did you also know that Jorel Anderson, your mother also regularly sends money into the account in the name of Igor Bulgakov?" Marsha's mara petals instantly widened with a surprise that seemed endless. Zeke has discovered many things, because of that the man also came to see Marsha in person, and unfortunately Marsha allowed himself to answer all these questions without the presence of a lawyer.

The next surprise made Marsha speechless without being able to say anything until the doorbell rang. Someone had come and pressed the bell three times without stopping. "I have to open the door first," said Marsha as she got up from the sofa and walked away leaving Zeke alone. Marsha steps towards the door opens it and finds Trevor's figure coming straight in.

"Am I bothering you?" Trevor asked before he found Zeke's figure who had risen from the sofa and smiled at him. Trevor also finds the police badge pinned to Zeke's waist.

The two men stared at each other before Trevor looked back at Marsha who looked tense. "What is that cop doing here?" Trevor asked in a loud voice before walking over to Zeke.

'Trev... Trev..." Marsha tried to block Trevor's steps but in vain. The steps were wide and the two men were facing each other.

"I have a permit to interrogate witnesses," Zeke said quickly to defend himself from Trevor Brown's attack.

Trevor was seen clenching his jaw with a very angry expression, and his gaze immediately turned sharp. "You shouldn't be answering all the questions this guy asks, Sha. Because they may ask you as a witness if you are accompanied by a lawyer.'

"But Trev..."

"No buts, Sha. You better get out now or I'll make demands on you, Detective."

Trevor's presence didn't help. All conversations between Zeke and Marsha stopped at that moment with Trevor Brown's threats that made Marsha feel awkward and uncomfortable in front of Zeke Hillman the detective.

Zeke left then quickly without responding to treatment or threats from Trevor. What Trevor said was true, but Zeke also thought that Marsha wouldn't mind talking to him. There was no coercion or pressure whatsoever that Zeke did to Marsha.

"You shouldn't be acting like that, Trev," said Marsha, who was objected and annoyed by Trevor's attitude.

"You should be the one refusing to---"

"I received it. You know that. I don't feel any objection or compulsion to answer the questions the detective asked me," Marsha cut in a loud voice and faced Trevor who had been burning with emotions since her appearance at Marsha's house. Marsha's breath hitched with the long fifth ending she said in front of Trevor who was staring at her intently.

"You should know that I'm worried about you, Sha," Trevor uttered a defense that left Marsha dumbfounded before the look on her pretty face turned into a lopsided grin of disbelief. "I'm telling the truth and I don't want anything bad to happen especially with that woman escaping from prison," continued Trevor, who was still trying to defend himself in front of Marsha who clearly implied apathy.

Marsha was silent with a sharp gaze and both jaws clenched tightly.
