Chapter 22: Marriage Proposal

Ria was resting while Evan who went down to meet with Lucius was feeling at ease 'she's easy to get along with and kind, it's really a big loss for the kingdom to lose their princess, it's all his fault and what did he meant by her debt ,what did the princess do to owe his majesty' he thought but fixed his eyeglasses when he went out and saw the knights sitting around the bonfire while Lucius was having a conversation with Sir el and sir Joseph along with sir Paul

The Floral inn was located inside of the forest so only few travelers that used shortcuts at the forest will end up staying in the inn however since they were only few,the inn had only 10 rooms and so the knights camped outside "the black knight is really strong" Evan whispered and Walk towards them, he praised sir Paul for he knew that only few people can keep their cool when talking with Lucius but sir Paul was unfazed and the way he dealt with the assassins earlier was very professional

"Your majesty" Evan bowed "your here sir Evan" Owen who sat besides his friends greeted him with his loud voice that could wake up someone whose asleep but thankfully Lucius ordered the other knights to use barrier that could protect them from being heard by others,it was similar to ria but was different as well "take your sit evan" Lucius ordered so evan took his seat besides sir paul and sir El while Lucius was sitting alone and was facing them "your too noisy Owen and please have some respect at lord evan"Ian scolded owen "but i was just greeting him btw milord did the princess sleep" he ask his group was facing Evan and the others,they were a bit far but can still communicate

Sir paul also stared at evan wanting to know if Ria was asleep but he was also aware that she might be listening to their conversation "she's too tired so she must have fallen asleep" Evan replied "oh what a shame i would like to have a chat with her but it's already late, don't you think she's nice" he ask so his group hurriedly covered his mouth to shut him up when they felt the gaze of their master "please don't mind him your grace"Ian spoke "hmmp bwut" his mouth was covered by their hands but he still tries to speak "hush your killing us"George whispered and was like begging him to shut up "his majesty" he added so owen took a peek while the others was still holding his mouth

'ah' he felt a chill coming from his spine, Lucius was looking down at the cup that he was holding but his eyes were like annoyed, "gulp" Owen became silent so his group sigh with relief and took their hands from his mouth,the other knights that was sitting along with them at the other side became quiet "I'm sorry i cross the line" owen said and bowed his head, Evan who noticed the atmosphere of the knights realize that the emperor dislikes when someone was mentioning the princess

'did this bastar* really fell in love in just a day with the princess' he thought and took his eyeglasses and wipe it then he spoke "yes you really did cross, don't casually be informal to the princess and treat her like a master" "yes i will milord" Owen hurriedly answered and became silent "your majesty we should go back at the empire as early as possible,the knights will follow later, your presence is needed at the palace" sir Joseph who was also the adviser of Lucius turned his gaze at him and spoke "Sir Joseph is right,the assassins that were sent earlier were a former member of the magic tower, someone must have gathered and recruit them,Sir Ian and the other knights will send you back first along with sir Joseph and sir El your majesty" Evan suggested Lucius drank his cup of water and stared at them

"tsk your being noisy Evan and what's the rush even if they gather and attack at once it's still useless so why are you pushing me to go back earlier than planned" Lucius spoke with his annoyed face Evan who heard his response froze and was amaze 'hah this is definitely not him, why would he refused to go back earlier at the empire when all he had done this past years was working,I don't believe in love at first and it's really unbelievable if this man is really changing because of love though i do wish for it but i never knew that it could give me a scare to see his attitude differ' he thought and his eyes were glaring

"but your majesty another problem may arise if you delay your return"Evan protest but Lucius gave his deadly glare "if I'll return you'll be left behind and I'll bring princess Astria" he threatened Evan knowing that he might be in danger if he'll left behind cause he's not good at fighting bur Evan was more shock to hear him saying that he'll bring the princess with him "t-that's a good idea i mean the princess would also be safe if she'll return with you but will she be alright" he ask "you can bring the princess your highness after all she can't be left alone with us" sir El spoke "she'll also be fine in using teleportation so you don't have to worry your majesty" sir paul spoke

"that's for her to decide whether she'll come along but for now George, Felix lead your groups and go back first and wait for us at the Trisberg village and deal with the base that the nobles had hidden" Lucius gave a clear order "yes your majesty" the two knights answered "you want to wipe out the assassination guild that was built in the rural village of Trisberg your majesty" Joseph ask The village was near the border and the gate to enter the empire of Xaverion, it's a village but was rich and the population was higher than any other village "it's better to wipe it already than wait for it to be used by my enemies, leave before the sun rise" he added

"w-wait sir George can't leave he's one of the mage that will teleport you back at the empire you can't send him" Evan "tsk you might as well come with them so i can't hear your annoying voice, have a good rest everyone" Lucius stood while evan was sighing "would it be fine if i take some of their time your majesty" sir Paul ask seems like he was eager to have a battle with the knights, Lucius stared at the knights and they were also anticipating to battle sir paul "fine but don't be noisy,im going to rest don't disturb my sleep with your noise" he said and the knights stand and bowed "yes your majesty,have a good rest" they said and Lucius went back inside of the inn Evan followed him

"wait your majesty i still need to discuss some matters with you" evan hurriedly followed him and when he entered the inn, Lucius was already at the stairs "your majesty" he shout so Lucius stops and face him "shut your mouth if you don't want to loose your head, it's already late at night,you can tell me the other matters tomorrow" he said like a threat so evan nod his head like a good servant "y-yes" he answered, Lucius went upstairs while evan was still standing "and there he goes" he said and sigh "a letter arrived through teleportation and the elders had decided to arrange his marriage,he can't refuse it this time since it came from his grandfather tsk he'll definitely kill me if i don't resolve this matter but how can i resolve it when he didn't even gave me his orders hah nevermind I rather sleep i survive all these years so what's the worse that may happen" evan thought and went upstairs he was very sleepy just thinking about solving his problems...
