Chapter 13:Her Choice
Lucius was walking first leaving the three behind who was talking at each other "Ria i didn't see father and mother,did they left" Roland ask "yeah i told them that we'll handle the Party" she replied then Evan spoke
"Princess have you offered some useful trade to his majesty" he was curious how ria was able to calm him down. "maybe i did"she said 'well to be exact i offer myself' ria thought and stared at the man at their front "oh it must be useful" Evan
The emperor was only listening and then he ask while they kept walking "Will the king invite me to have a conference with your ministers" he coldly ask ria didn't know who he was trying to ask so Roland answered "if possible your majesty we would like to discuss some important matters to you" he replied, Lucius smirk knowing that the king and his ministers will try to negotiate with him in return for leaving their kingdom alone
But he decided to listen to their pleas since he gave Ria some time to find what he was looking for,he needed to spend his time so he won't get bored though he doesn't need to find out about the secret of the kingdom for he already had his suspicion
'the princess who was praised for her wisdom and knowledge and the mana suppressing in her body that's enough for me to know who the mastermind for the protection of this kingdom, isn't she good enough to become an empress' he smirk by his thoughts
"hmm I'll try hearing your pleas then" he said and evan was once again unable to tell if his master was sane or insane 'really he'll try to listen at their pleas' he thought and stare at Ria who sigh with relief 'she's really something' he thought while Roland didn't like how the two men was admiring his sister he felt that sooner or later she'll be taken away whether they'll like it or not
When they reach the sun palace, Evan first reach his room so he excuse his self "I'll be taking my leave first your majesty, crown prince,princess, have a good night then" he bowed and opened the door to his room 'ughh i really need to sleep' he thought and entered his room with a tired face
A few walks away from Evans room they reach the Silver door which was the emperor's room, the two bowed "have a good rest then your majesty" they said and Lucius opened his room but before he enters he look back and stare at ria "I'll be expecting good news in the next days princess" he said and added "have a good night as well" when he enters his room the two decided to leave,while ria was having a blank expression,the emperor whom she just met face to face today was giving a feeling like he already knew her and it was a bad feeling for her
"Astria does seducing the emperor part of your plan" Roland ask in a serious tone as they were walking in the hallway Ria's eyes widen just hearing his question "brother how could you think of me as that,you know me well i don't do those kinds of thing" she angrily said and protested but Roland answered back "yes i knew you very well that you might as well try doing those kinds of thing just to save the kingdom" he said so ria pout
"brother it may be included if i don't have more choices but i still have some things to bargain with the emperor"she said and Roland seems to understand. "your power are you trying to offer it to him" he ask with worry "well the rumors are true about him since he do wants to recruit some mages to work at the magic tower and he seems to agree about having a negotiation if ever i work for him" ria explained a d Roland gave a bitter sour face "da*n it" he swear "if only i was born with magical powers you won't be suffering this much" he said
Astria just sigh "brother it's not your fault and this way the kingdom won't suffer from the emperor, it's not like I can't take care of myself so if ever I'll really be recruited by him, don't blame your self and help mom and dad at their works" she said and patted his back "but ria how can you survive in the Xaverion empire, many men will try to have you including the emperor" he said and ria just giggled " i can protect myself and what's wrong playing with some men it's not like I'll live as young lady forever brother" she said and Roland was shock he was about to scold ria but she runs away
"you you" Roland angrily called for her but ria was a bit away from him "brother you can wrap up the party while I'll take my rest first alright" she said so Roland sigh "alright you can rest, have a sweet dream little sister" he said and ria came near him and gave a kiss in his cheeks "you too have a sweet dream brother and Scarlet is going wild again tonight you better take good care of her" she said and walks at the other hall while his brother was headed to the main hall
"she's what?that woman is really driving me crazy, Ria I'll be going then,Sir paul escort her back at her room" he said and was in a hurry while sir paul was waiting at the hallway leading to ria's Palace "yes your majesty"sir paul bowed and ria just chuckles "seriously those two should just marry right sir paul" she said and walks back to her palace "they really should but it's their choice to make princess" he said and followed her
"yeah anyhow how did the emperor still recognize you, you said he was young when you serve the previous emperor" she ask "his memory must be very sharp your highness since he was about 4-5 years old when i saw him at the imperial palace" he said "oh!no wonder he must have recognize me already even though when i wore a cloak that day i did spoke to him so he must have remember my voice" ria realize then sir paul glared at her
"princess did you try to attack the emperor" he ask and ria avoided his glare "no how could i harm the emperor he's really powerful those who try to fight him must have a death wish" she said "right" sir paul agreed but he knew that his master had done it so he just sigh he was glad that she was unharmed but was more worried if the emperor will try to harm her back.....
