Chapter 10: A Wish of a faithful Dog
Lucius was drinking a wine while staring at Astria who was feeling discomfort from his gazes, many young nobles tried to go near Lucius but his aura and gazes indicates that he doesn't want to be entertained by them so they just gaze at him and kept flocking at the other side of the hall
"Dancing once won't hurt you right your majesty, young ladies are gazing at you with contempt" Ria spoke and Lucius puts his wine down "If your telling me to dance with them i decline if you want to lose their heads right here right now then"he said with a threaning voice so ria gulp.
"I misspoke then what would you like to discuss with me" she ask not knowing what to do since her father didn't try to do anything because if he does he knew that the emperor might cause bloodshed at this very party,the king was only sighing while watching his daughter with the mad emperor and the queen can't help but feeling dizzy so the king just comforted her..
They didn't know what to do anymore since their plan couldn't proceed..."hmm the red wine is really great" Lucius didn't answer and just complimented the wine "hmm yes"Ria just whispered and took a plate that was set in the table with a piece of cake and took a bite
A lady with red hair approach their table and gave her greetings "Your majesties"she bowed 'ah she arrives' ria thought while chewing the cake and stare at the lady
"Daring enough to come here when i clearly made myself clear not to be disturb" he coldly said and the lady trembles
"Pardon her your majesty but she's my friend" Ria said and stare at the lady in fact she was her good friend who knows how to flirt and was very well known to the society as the social butterfly,she was her friend but they rarely meet because of how busy ria was,
"Hmm" Lucius loosed his cold demeanor and look like a calm man,the lady felt ease and sigh with relief when she Sense that he looses his guard down "Im Lady Scarlet Von Chlare,the princess and i are friends since young and the crown prince is my Future finacee" she smiled she was not entirely wrong even though the crown prince is not yet married nor engage, the two families were already planning to have them wed
But then again they don't like each other so it was natural for them to deny one another and Scarlet likes to play the heart of many men and she was Ria's plan b, she wanted Scarlet to steal the emperor's heart and Scarlet agreed to it
"Why don't you sit beside me Scarlet we haven't seen each other for ages" ria happily said and ordered the servant to bring one chair, "of course princess ria i miss you very much too" she replied and was about to sat down when the chair was placed but she stop when Lucius suddenly stand and glare at ria
"I just realized i never had any dance before it would be rude if i don't do so" he said and smiled,Ria who realize his intention was fuming in her thoughts 'such crazy bastar*' she thought and smiled back at Lucius
"Princess would you like to dance" he ask and extended his hands across the table with his poker face and the crowd has become noisy,Ria had no choice so she sigh and stand up from her seat leaving her food, she took his hands and went out from their table "Ah" Scarlet was left dumbfounded being left alone "lady Scarlet I'll be back" Ria said before leaving her friend
The nobles made way for them through the dance floor and the emperor walking with such stern cold looking face bent down and gave a kiss in her palm that made ria blush 'ah he's undeniably a handsome devil' she thought but then realized something 'ughh he's going to be my murderer soon so why would i care if he's handsome' scolded her self but comes to her senses when Lucius went near her and wrap his hands in her waist and hold her other hand
"ah" she was surprised "tsk your mind is wandering when your about to dance?"he coldly ask and stare at her eyes then the music starts so the two of them started dancing "Forgive me i was just having some thoughts" she said but Lucius didn't answer back
He was annoyed, when he knew what the woman was planning he got mad and he would love to slit her slender neck but surprisingly he doesn't want to so to escape with the situation that Ria was planning he teased her asking for a dance and now they were staring coldly at each other while dancing,they never spoke again after her explanation, he sure was attracted to her bluey eyes and lovely face...
Meanwhile Evan who was sitting with the so called pillars of the kingdom,widen his mouth and eyes when he saw the emperor dancing at the dance floor, while the two old man was only a bit surprised knowing that their princess was really one of a kind and was smart too "ahem i didn't know that the emperor would be captured by our princess's beauty"Lord Willem "it's a bit shocking as well"the other one agreed while evan had no comments but stared at the two
'what's wrong with his majesty?did he injured his head as well or is it because the princess is really so beautiful that he admired her,how can that devil master of mine dance a stranger,of course he dance with some women but that because he knows that they were useful but he's dancing with a stranger he never once met,what is wrong with him?' he thought and was more curious
'and what's with that gaze as if enjoying his meal,he looks like some crazy bastar* starting to fall inlove' he screamed like he saw some strange thing 'will it be good if we just take the princess in exchange for peace,wait what am i thinking,will that emperor, Lucius be able to consider that kind of offer' he thought again but then he loses it and just took a glass of wine and gurgle it down to his throat....
This must be a sweet dream...if so please don't wake me up im happy if that master of mine will have a woman by her side .....
