I'm Sorry!

When I entered the house, I noticed the face that caught my attention. It was Hori's angry face staring at me. Not understanding what was going on, I entered the living room as soon as I took off my shoes and asked Hori what happened.

"You idiot! You idiot! Idiooot! You've been missing for hours, and you didn't even take your phone with you. Where have you been? I was so worried about you!"

"I'm sorry, Hori-nee. I went to the market because we ran out of groceries at home. If I had guessed I'd be back this late, I would have taken my phone with me."

'At least I can breathe a little easier. It seems like she has no idea about what happened with Yuki yesterday. Besides, when Yuki said she got permission from Hori, what did she mean?' I want to ask, but I'm afraid of the answer Hori will give.

It took me a few minutes to gather my courage. After clearing my throat, I raised my head to ask Hori, looking into her eyes.

"Hori-nee, did Yuki-san ask you for permission to sleep in my room last night?"

"Well, yesterday Yuki-san came into my room and said she got permission from you to sleep here, so I gave her my bed."

Hori's hair started to wave with frustration. She clenched her fist and hit my head a few times.

"You really just shared your bed!"

"Itai, itaii! Hori-nee! I really just shared my bed. I'm sorry, Hori-nee, I can't tell you that I slept with Yuki last night..."

"Anyway, from now on, make sure to keep your phone with you no matter what, okay?"

"Hmm..." With my head throbbing and my eyes watery from Hori's punches, I nodded.

"Are you hungry? I'll prepare breakfast, and then I need to study for university. The exams are approaching." Hori tied her hair and put on her uniform before heading to the kitchen.

After saying that I wasn't hungry, the rest of the day passed with me reading books in my room and occasionally in the living room. The books I read helped me learn more about Japan. Thanks to my <Advanced Memory> ability, I never forget the books I read.

When it started to get dark outside, I heard a sound at the door of the house. Someone was trying to put a key in and open the door.

To see who had come, I leaned out of the entrance of the living room and looked at the opened door. I saw a little boy, a woman, and a man with peculiar hair.

"Mom, Souta, and Kusso Oyaji!" So, these were Hori's family. However, I couldn't understand why Hori called her father 'Kusso'.

After extinguishing his cigarette, the man with hair covering his eyes came up to me and grabbed me by the shoulders. "Who the hell is this?"

"Sweetie, this is my nephew, Finn-chan. How can you not recognize him?"

"Finn?" The man, who had difficulty recognizing me, didn't seem to care much and after patting my head, he entered.

"Welcome home, Mom, Souta... I didn't know you'd be back today." Hori took a towel from the inside pocket of her uniform and started to dry her hands.

"Yes, we wanted to make a little surprise."

"Onii-chan! Do you know, where we went, I saw a bunch of people doing anime cosplay. They all looked very realistic."

"Wow, Souta, did you take pictures with them?"

"Yeeeah, I completely forgot about that." Souta seemed disappointed that he couldn't take pictures with the people doing cosplay.

"Don't worry, Souta-kun..." I gently rested my hand on Souta's gray hair and started to stroke it, trying to motivate him.

After finishing dinner, I went into the bathroom to take a warm bath. Just as I was about to wash up, the sliding door of the bathroom opened, and the person who came in was Hori's father, Kyousuke-san. Seeing me naked, Kyousuke-san acted as if he wasn't particularly interested and started to urinate.

"Your body seems solid, Finn-kun." He was acting indifferent because he saw me naked. Blushing, I responded immediately.

"T-Thank you, but at least you could have knocked on the door a few times."

"Oh, don't worry, I knew you were inside." This is even worse. When someone is in the bathroom, you shouldn't enter.

Slowly but surely, I could understand why Hori was so harsh with her father. Her father was completely childish and reckless...
