The rain

I was contempt with my life or at least that's what they told me to say, my life in all truth had been nothing but misery since that day.

My mother was a hard working woman she did all she could to support us, my sister too young to understand & myself?, I just felt empty.

My father no longer lives with my family instead opting to live in the closest city to our little town, I didn't mind that though it was better for all of us that way

The bells ring & snaps me out of my half zombie like state, I'd gather up all my belongings through them into my already overly heavy backpack & leave the class that was keeping me from sleep, I'd follow the same routine I did everyday up to an empty hallway where I'd sit and wait, just as I'd close my eyes a girl full of energy come bounding up the stairs her curly hair bouncing with excitement, I was the complete opposite of that dull, didn't put on make-up, was to tired for all of it, so as I did every day still following that damn routine I put on a happy facade and hid behind my joy of the latest upload from our favourite youtuber, talked about what we should eat at lunch & listened to the songs we liked.

Eventually it ended & we parted for our next class the taunting bell still screeching behind me, there was a way I did things that made others unnerved but I didn't care I liked the sense of dread that others had when I walked into the room, my dark demeanour was too scary for any of the pretty pink girls, they never came near me & that was absolutely fine with me, although the boys didn't seem as bothered as the girls the ones with inflated egos always asked some stupid, senseless stuff like if I slit my wrists, my answer was always the same 'talk to me again and we'll see who gets hurt' I really hate dealing with people like them they make me sick flaunting there cash around like it's nothing, they would never survive if they had to leave mommies side

I stared out the window not paying attention to anything else but the rain it was
