It was faint but I heard it too

They quickly finished the food including the food for the two sisters. Looking at the empty plates, he became dazed. He could not figure out the reason behind it. A sick person eating that much, he never heard of it. While she was resting, his two sisters came and started to chat. He had to call reception again for more food.

"Why is this bed so messy? What happened?", his third sister asked while checking the bed. Their heart nearly leap out because she was sniffing too.

"Is that so? By the way brother, did you guys hear any strange cries yesterday? We were so scared that we thought of coming here but we did not because we did not want to disturb sister in law sleep.", his third sister-in-law asked. As soon as, they heard it, their face flushed.

"No, I didn't.", he quickly denied it while his heart beat like crazy.

"That's strange! It was faint but I heard it too.", his second sister added.

"It must be some machine or something else. Don't worry about that.", he tried to mislead them.

"Maybe…", his third sister nodded.

"Our sister-in-law looks a little better today and beautiful too.", his second sister noticed some changes.

"Is that so? I don't know about that.", his sister-in-law touched her face and said while blushing further.

"Yeah. You definitely looked better.", his third sister added while looking more closely.

They kept chatting and food came too. The two sisters quickly finished their food and continued their conversation. Meanwhile, the cleaning services came so they moved to another room for a bit. The other room was as good as the previous one. The big surprise was that his sister-in-law could walk by herself without any help although with some difficulties. It was enough for her to hold one hand of his and she walked to another room, under the astonished gaze of all the people present. Seeing her getting much better than before, they all had smiles on their face and of course, they were happy.

"Third sister, take good care of sister-in-law. If you need anything just call me, alright?", his second sister, Lumina instructed because they decided to head back to the hospital.

"Alright. Don't worry about it.", his third sister, Fortuna nodded.

"Do you want me to buy anything when I came back?", John asked while looking at his sister-in-law and third sister.

"Just buy some snacks for us. Can you do that?", Fortuna requested while his sister-in-law nodded.

"Alright. We will be right back.", he said and walked away with his second sister. They were walking in the street toward the hospital direction.

"Brother, I think you changed a lot recently.", his second sister, Lumina wrapped his around his arm and said.

"Is that so? How did I change?", he got a little flustered and asked.

"I cannot pinpoint it but you seem more handsome.", she smiled and replied.

"Oh! Thank you then. You are becoming beautiful too.", he replied while trying to trick her.

"Ugh… See, you are saying these cheeky lines without restraint these days. Something definitely changed about you.", she huffed and guessed.

"I'm just stating the fact.", he said while smiling.

"Whatever. It's definitely a good thing though. I like this side of you even better.", she shrugged and said while smiling back. While having these kinds of conversations, they quickly arrived at the place where his mother and sister were placed. As soon as they entered, the nurses greeted them while they told him about the condition of the patient and preparation for the operation which seem to be positive.

"Alright. Thank you for the great work and please keep helping me for some time.", he said and quietly gave them 1,000 each while expressing his gratitude.

"Don't worry about it. It's our job, sir.", they said and kept the money while smiling to him.

"You can call me John and you can directly call me if you need anything in the future. Don't hold back.", he said while giving them a warm smile.

"Alright. We will do that sir.", they replied while grinning and went away.

His sister was watching curiously when he conversed with them with an amused expression without any word. When they went away, she got close to him and grinned.

"Little brother, Nice. That was pretty smooth. Are you interested in any of them?", she teased him while whispering in his ears.

"What?... It's nothing like that. I was thanking them for taking care of our mother and sister.", he quickly rebutted with an amused expression on his face.
