Chapter 20: Orc Hunting Mission Request

Doron and his group finslly located the adventurers guild, it's just that.

"Hahaha, who would have thought that the girl that punched me would now be at my adventurer guild to register as an adventurer" A man who stood about 1.8 meters tall and a scar that was on his lower right cheek, was laughing happily as he loked at the lady in a green gown who punched him some time ago, it was day time then, but now that the sun was alreadt setting and the moon was already poking out it's head, her beauty shined more.

Yes, the man that owned the inn that he proposed sleeping with Iris would help them get a room inhis inn, was also the guild master of the adventurers guild in Azron town.

Iris was so angry when she found out, and the annoying smile on Doron's face made her feel like killing someone.

"We just want to register, can't we just forget about what happened during the day?"

Iris was already tired, they had been walking throughout the whole day, and then they only rested for some few hours due and then decided not to waste too much time and went to registar as adventurers as they needed info and money as quickly as possible, but now, it seems that they will be delayed a bit.

"Of course, am not that petty, your other friends can get their adventurers licenses, but not you, that's fair right?" The guild master said, giving Iris a "what can you do?" Look.

Iris was really tempted to fight him, but seeing how the other members of the guild were looking at her and her group, she knew that they were being targetted.

"Let's go" Iris said as she decided that it was no use, they were foreigners and dressed strangely, so of course they would carry some vigilance and contempt for them.

Doron looked at the guild master and smiled, as he was the last to start moving.

"Wait! Why are you huys so in a rush to leave?" The man said as he laughed. "Don't you want to at least fight for the licenses?"

This made the trio stop, as Iris looked back at the guild master.

"Fight?" She echoed his words.

"Yes, fight, don't you want to at least fight for it?" The guildmaster said.

Iris looked at Doron and Patra and back to the guildmaster.

"Okay, how are we going to faight" Iris asked. "One on one or three on three?"

"Pfft, Hahaha" The guild master burst out laughing, prompting the others to laugh as well. "It's not us you will be fighting, but a group of orcs that had made a village at the eastern part of the towns boarders, about 12km from here, if you exterminate them and bring their chieftains head, you can be instantly be promoted to wood tier adveturers"

"Wood tier?" Doron asked, looking at the guildmaster and asked. "Is that how you guys rank yourselves."

"Oh, it seems you don't know about adventurers ranks, well it won't hurt me telling you, there in total five ranks for beginners, glass, wood, stone, iron, and then steel, whiles for those after the steel rank are bronze, silver, gold, diamond, and then mithril, the rank after that can only be given to those who have become kings in their ranks" The man then puffed his chest out. "I am actually a bronze rank"

"Oh, okay" Was all Doron later said.

"How do we increase our ranks, and what's a king rank?" Patra asked, but for some reason, the other adventurers looked at her like she had suddenly sprouted a second head.

"You don't know what kings are?" An adventurer could not help asking as he looked at his comrades who also had dumbfounded looks on their faces.

"Everyone knows the ranks given to people who consume beast cores and absorb the worlds mana, where have you been all this while, under a rock?" Another said.

Iris who suddenly found and oppurtunity to get to know how they classify others in ranks did not let it pass by.

"Don't mind my sister. *Sigh*, She has a rare disorder that makes her lose some memories at random, one time, she litterally lost the memory of how to breathe, it really scared us at that time, luckily my brother was able to help her remember." Iris said with a pained expression, this made the other adventurers look at Patra with pity.

Patra on the other hand was not letting Iris off in her mind. 'It's you that has a disorder, your whole family has a disorder.'

Doron on the other hand was trying not to laugh as he looked at the pityful gazes aimed at Patra.

"Little girl, there are different ranks for those who either consume beast cores or absorb the worlds mana, they are the line, curve, arc or semi-circle, and circle that is also for beginners, whiles those who have developed their circle are called vagabonds, barons, viscounts, earl, marquess, duke and then king there are also emperors and monarchs, but those of emperor ranks can only be counted on one hand, and that for monarch is just a pipe dream for others" The adventurer said sighing at the end.

"Oh, right, I remember now" Patra said, with a look of enlightenment.

"So, how about the orc extermination, you up for it?" The guildmaster asked. "And don't get the wrong idea, I am not doing this because of that incident, this is just a from of right of passage sort of thing"

"Okay, so when can we leave?"

"Tomorrow, we still have to create a temporary license for you guys so that it won't cause truoble for you guys when you want to enter back to the town, since adventurers are given spacial privilages to not have to pay everytime we leave that town"

"Okay, tomorrow then" Iris said.

"Good, meet back here when the sun has risen"

"Okay"

Iris then left with Doron and Patra back to the tavern.

"Boss, we have never done such a thing before, and besides, those orcs are not only are those orcs level 3 beasts and their cheiftain is already nearing fledgeling rank, they are also our allies and warn us when a group of monsters form the eastern region are coming to attack the town" An adventurer said.

Just like humans, monsters also had their own ranks, for low ranking monsters, they were ranked from level one to five, for thise that have broken through to the next stage, they are fledgelings, destroyers, terrors, disasters, and calamities.

"I know, it's just that the orcs have been getting arrogant lately, and I can't use people associated with the town, and also, I want to really guage the strengths of that group, even though the cold one was talking, the one that I felt danger from the most was her so called brother"

Manurt, had been in dangerous dungeons and even once fought against a monster tide that came out of a dungeon, of course he was not alone, but the monsters he feared the most where humans. They were crafty, could use any means to survive and they could even result to sacrificing their own partners.

Of course he was also human, but he hated how his race were so scheming. 'That is why I prefer demi-humans, they are more approachable, accept the fox and cat kins, those guys ould rob you blind'

Meanwhile, Doron was thinking about something else as they had gotten back to the tavern.

Since they had some coins on them, Doron booked another room, for himself as Iris and Patra would stay together.

Now that he was alone, he could finally do what he

wanted to do, when the issue of money was brought up.

What was that?... Stealing of course, and he already had his destination set. The housing area of the town, where the rich merchants and the other rich nobles lived.

The problem was that he only had the power of charm.

'The pendant!'

Doron reached for his neck as he felt the pendant there and sighed.

After what happened, Styx had made some tweaks to her pendant, now Doron could partially weild some of the powers, the styx river could offer him.

He removed what looked like a pearl from the pendant and swallowed it.

"Darling finally took my blessing, am so happy!" Styx squeeled as she hugged her life sized body pillow of Doron, that she got custom made for her form Perverted gods hug pillows and stuffies. Yes, it was a real shop in the supernatural world.

"STYX!!!!, I know you are in there, I saw you take the package from that courier from the Perverted gods hug pillows and stuffies store, just come out let's talk!!"

"I knew I should have ordered for space delivery" Styx said as Pallas was still at her temple door.

She did kick him out before, but he was able to use the key that she left under her doormat to get back in.
