The Fight Begins

"Tyler are those the wolves that were guarding the house?" I asked in a calm tone, Tyler began to howl again, his eyes began to glisten. "No one leaves this house alive..." I growled as I walked around the dead bodies scattered on the floor, the others followed surveying the room as we stepped around and over the bodies. Before we could reach the door at the other end of the room, the door exploded inward. Kaylee, Nikki and Simone as if on instinct encased the entire group inside a huge barrier protecting us. Shrapnel from the metal door flew at us and around us as a woman dressed in obsidian and navy robes walked in followed by Kaylee's mother and the newly appointed sorceress Lilly. Lilly had Da-eun and Soo-min enthralled, minions began to pour in, in throngs through the doorway, "MOTHER!!!!" Kaylee shouted. Her mother just looked at her expressionless, "Sorry Kaylee, you must understand Remi and her siblings are dangerous and must be destroyed. Soon you will see the truth." "FUCK YOU." I shouted back, "I will tear you and Satan's whore to pieces before you touch my family." I responded anger building up inside me. Tyler stepped forward and stood next to me in a defensive manner, head lowered, a low guttural growl escaping his mouth.

Tyler goes down on his haunches ready to attack, Jadenne stepped next to me, his eyes glowing while Cho, the twins and Dan stood behind me. Stephen and the other wolves stood at the back of the group readying themselves to strike. Kaylee, Nikki and Simone maintained the protective bubble around us, "Mom...." Kaylee began pleading again, hoping to reason with her mother, "Remi is like a sister to me, her siblings are my siblings. Allowing you to kill her will be the same as killing family, think about what you are doing." "Rebecca." Hinata spoke in an authoritative tone, "If the child does not concede to us then kill them all. This is your duty." Simone slid out her shurikens, three in each hand surging with magic as they glowed, while Kaylee unsheathe her katanas and Nikki cocked her enchanted shotguns. "I'm sorry Kaylee." Rebecca started, "Lilly you know what to do.", Lilly began to slowly walk forward, Da-eun and Soo-min walked in front her and the minions bringing up the rear. "No one leaves this room alive." I growled to the others, "Da-eun and Soo-min are our priority. FREE THEM." I shouted as I ran forward, chakrams in hand. I began to throw them through the mob of minions, slicing them with deft precision.

Tyler and the other wolves were shredding through the thralls with ease, it was painful to see so much human lives being tossed aside so mercilessly, but there was no choice. The Tribunal gave us to choice at all, the kids moved nimbly over the battlefield, this was their first battle and I was worried as to how it would affect them, as slaughter of any kind was something new to them. When the initial minion wave was culled, my attention was set on Lilly who held Da-eun and Soo-min in a subdued trance like state. As I hurried towards Lilly, she began to chant and I instantly knew something was wrong, I stopped and tilted my head to the side, Lilly wasn't looking at me she was looking at the ground. Then in the blink of an eye Soo-min and Da-eun raised knives that they had in their hands and placed them at their throats and the ground beneath them began to rumble and open. "NO....." was all I could scream, I didn't think I just raced over to the girls, Lilly had to be stopped, I will not allow her to sacrifice the girls. I did not notice Jadenne looking at me so when everything began to slow down I was a bit confused, but I used that chance to get to Lilly.

With my talons out I struck my hand through her stomach, it was only in that moment Lilly looked up at me, tears as red a blood streaming down her face. She was sacrificing herself in her ritual, Dan raced over to Soo-min and Da-eun as they stood as still as statues under Jadenne's power with the knives still at their throats. I held onto Lilly as I continued to push my hand through her until my hand exited through her back, still looking at her in her eyes I took my other hand and slashed my nails across Lilly's throat. I had shred her carotid artery, exterior jugular and trachea in one swipe, blood began to bubble out as she gurgled and fell to the floor. I never saw the attack coming as my anger and hate was fixated on the young sorceress that was in front of me, as Lilly fell Kaylee's mother Rebecca was on me in an instant. Before I could react I felt immobilized as she was chanting, a smirk appeared on her face, Cho, Kaylee, Nikki and Simone ran towards me as all I could do was stand motionless and expressionless, staring straight at Rebecca as she neared me. Rebecca for a minute stopped a hint of fear and shock flashed across her face, she then began to run towards me but before she could reach me a rune etched bullet pierced through her skull between her eyes.

REbecca stopped as blood began to trickle down her forehead and as she stood still Kaylee's katana struck her mother's neck and in one clean cut, Rebecca's head flew across the room, bouncing off the floor. As REbecca's body fell to the floor, Da-eun and Soo-min's eyes began to clear, slowly their hands began to move as Jadenne began releasing them from their frozen state, my body began to return to normalcy and Cho's touch was the first thing I felt. "Remi are you okay?" he asked, but as I turned to face him his expression changed, along with the others as they walked over to me. "What the fuck?" Simone whispered, Kaylee's expression turned dark, I could see anger and confusion on her face, "Remi what are you?" she spat out, "I killed my mother to save you but your eyes tells me she may be correct." she added bitterly as she backed away from me. Her reaction confused me, what was she saying, the twins walked up to me and gasped, "Remi your eyes look like the eye of a tempest, they are swirling and dark." Before I could react to Mimi's statement, we heard clapping and laughing in the distance, "Now who was hiding a secret?" the voice called out, we all turned around to see the Tribunal's sorceress councilor Hinata walking towards us.
