Chapter 9

It was either good or bad news for Emely, but for William, this was the most perfect plan he had ever devised.

William took a deep breath, then he turned around to face the girl who was now looking down in fear. A smirk escaped the man's lips. What a perfect plan.

"Let's make a pact," William said suddenly, making Emely look up instantly. William's gaze was so different from before. There was an obvious smirk, making Emily's body shudder.

"It means?" asked Emely nervously, her voice sounding like a squeak instead.

Again, William was feeling good. Seeing Emely frightened like this, it would be easy for her to get what she wanted.

"You are serious?" Emely was flabbergasted, she stared in disbelief at the cold man who was also staring at her blankly.

William exhaled with both hands tucked into his trouser pockets. His eagle eyes fixed on Emily's surprised face.

If observed, Emely has a naturally beautiful face. A clean face with a small but slightly pointed nose is the hallmark of Emely. Do not forget that round eyes, can be an attraction for anyone who sees. William admits it.

However, for some reason, Nancy's face and shadow seemed to bury her deep. Until there is no gap for him to see a better side of Emely than Nancy.

"I'm serious. I'm not going to tie you up in a real marriage. I just need a nanny for Clara," William explained, clarifying his true purpose.

Emily's heart was in turmoil. How come? A stranger suddenly came to propose, then lightly explained that he was only used as a tool for parenting. The girl was clueless.

"Sorry, sir. If you intend to find a nanny for Clara, please look at the foundation. Not me. I'm not a nanny," said Emely. Even though her tone was normal, there was annoyance in the girl's eyes.

William was silent. The man knew that Emely still wanted to continue his sentence. It was clear from the look on his face and lips that were about to open again.

"Marriage is not a game, Mr. William. It's a sacred bond. A sacred promise before God. I don't want to mess with marriage. Please find another woman you want to take advantage of," continued Emely, then turned around and intended to leave William.

However, his intentions were restrained by William's words.

"Okay then, your parents have to pay back the hospital fees and attorney's fees that I have incurred."

Emely was suddenly taken aback, and for the first time William let out a smile. Unfortunately, it was a sly smile.

"You will be free after Clara's real mother returns. You also don't need to fulfill your obligations as a real wife. A wife is only your status. Calm down Emely, I will give you all the materials you need," said William making Emely look at him blankly.

The girl did not answer but chose to leave in front of the arrogant man.

Father, Mother, and Mareta looked at Emely with curious faces. They were waiting to hear from Emely who had just spoken with William. Emely was nervous. There has been no final decision from him.

As for William, the man looked calm. As if nothing had happened. He had deliberately left the choice to Emely, of course for his benefit.

"So how's it going, Emily?" asked the father, curious. Mother just nodded in agreement with her husband's question.

He looked at the expectant faces. What should Emily say? If his parents knew William's ulterior motives, would they agree to this marriage? Then, if he refuses, where does the money come from to replace everything?

All these questions haunted Emely. The girl seemed difficult to speak with. Fear of causing misunderstandings.

"Why, honey? Did William say all sorts of things?" Martha asked, guessing.

The faces of Emily's parents looked shocked, they immediately landed their eyes on their child. Emely was silent, unsure of what to do. Meanwhile, William still looks calm.

"Em ... not like that, Mom. I ... I just want to ask for two more days. After that, Emily's decision is final," said Emely at last.

He wanted her to be honest about what William said. But, how about the feelings of Emily's parents? And where did he pay William's lawsuit money from? Let him think one more time about all this. At least for Emily's parents.

Mareta smiled faintly, while both of Emily's parents just took a deep breath.

"Well, use that time well, Emely. We'll come back in two days," Mareta said. Emily nodded slowly.

After it was felt that there was nothing more to talk about, Mareta and William said goodbye. William just looked at Emely flatly. However, it is implied that William challenges Emely about William's threat.

Emely threw herself on the bed. My Head throbbed at the constant thought of William and his proposal. What should he do now? William gave him a choice, between a treaty and a threat. It made her heart flustered and confused.

How can an educated man like William consider marriage a camouflage? He treats women like this. Emely got dizzy.

The girl rubbed her temples lightly. Sleep is the right choice to rest his brain for a moment. Emely also chose to pull the blanket even though it was only 20:00. He needed enough rest to face tomorrow.

However, just closing my eyes, notification messages come in through the green application.

"Emely, I'm already in front of the house. Come out, give me a chance to explain everything thoroughly. I promise, after this, I won't bother you anymore."

Emily took a deep breath. Problem one is not finished yet, now comes a new problem. Why is his life like this?

The girl didn't come out right away or answer messages. He tried to think realistically. Emely must solve problems one by one so that the burden is reduced. And, meeting that person is better so that he can make the right decision. Really.
