Ch 3 Accio Worked? Part 1

[Quest Created: Save Sirius]

"Wait! What? What the heck is this?!" Ron's eyes widened dramatically as the absurd situation that he was in became even more ridiculous.

Not only did he get transmigrated into the Harry Potter world but now he could even see one of those infamous system alerts in front of his eyes...

'But is this really a system though...'

"S-Status!" Ron whispered hesitatingly, as if afraid that someone was going to jump out of the corner of the room and scream APRIL'S FOOL, but thankfully his worst fear didn't come true and a much bigger status screen replaced the quest alert and appeared in front of him just like in the legends.

'I actually got a golden finger,' Ron thought in awe as the shock from suddenly seeing the blue screen wore off and he finally realised what he had gotten.

His face gradually lit up like a lumos spell as he considered how much easier this world, where children are tortured at the drop of a hat, would be with the help of a cheat.

Of course, Sam had read all about those so-called systems in his previous life. During his depression phase, he had shut off his mind and had binged as many Chinese, Japanese and Korean novels as he could find online. So he knew that these systems, he knew that they could be a mighty help for any transmigrator, reincarnate or regressor.

Of course, some systems could be more of a hindrance than help but those were the rare few ones and thankfully he didn't have to worry about that problem as this 'system' didn't seem to be a sentient one.

"This is awesome! now I finally feel like I have a chance against the—Wait!! What the fuck is this?! Why is this..." Ron blinked rapidly at the screen as if hoping to refresh it but it remained the same no matter how many times he did it, "Why is this all greyed out?!"

...

'Did I get a faulty system? What does this even mean...' Ron scratched his head as he looked at the half-greyed-out sections of the screen in front of him, which looked as if the developers had pushed out the half-finished product due to deadline issues.

'Oh! Maybe the Logs could tell me something...'

He raised his finger towards the Logs option beside the Quest button in the overhead Menu, but before he could even touch it, the Logs window opened automatically...

'So it can be operated mentally, good to know,' Ron thought before looking at all the information in the Logs window, which told him with a simple glance about what had happened while he was asleep, 'So that's the reason, huh...'

The infamous Gamer System seems to have been incompatible with this Wizarding World, so not only had it been forced to downgrade itself to a subsystem called the Mage System, but it also had to discard many of its other functions, such as Inventory, Dungeon skills, Gamer Mind etc.

'Well, something is better than nothing, I guess...' Ron shrugged and quickly got over the letdown, and went back to checking the status screen.

'Hmm... I guess the physique here represents strength and speed compressed, dexterity is probably about reaction speed and flexibility, and spirit is obviously related to the soul and the amount of mana, and perception... hmm I don't know... could be about feeling the magic or something...

'But why the hell are endurance and charisma greyed out...'

'Is it because of the same reason as the HP? Just because they are related to that Gamer Body skill?' Ron mused for a while before finally turning his attention to the skill section of the status window, 'There are quite a few here, huh...'

It took a while but he understood that most of the skill levels here probably corresponded to the Hogwarts year he was in.

Since Ron had just finished his OWL exams this week, most of his skills were Level 5, which meant that he would probably have to study the next year's material to level any of them up.

Flying was self-explanatory and Duelling was probably higher level because of all the duelling practice Ron got during the DA lessons.

And as for the other skills—

"Ron?!" Ginny's voice abruptly startled Ron out of his musing and he turned around to find her looking at him with a worried gaze, "Are you alright?"

"Huh? N-No I am fine, just spaced out for a second,"

"Are you sure? You don't have to go if—"

"No, it's alright, I am going," Ron firmly said before turning back towards the door, 'I'll check out the rest of the things later...'

Considering that the quest to save Sirius would probably be time-constrained, Ron didn't dilly-dally anymore and immediately opened the door that Harry and all the Death Eaters had left through.

On the other side was the room with Revolving doors, that had given them as much trouble as help during their fight with Death Eaters.

Fortunately for Ron, there was only a single door open on the opposite side so he didn't have to waste time opening every single door to find the Veil Room.

He crossed the length of the room in a few quick steps and before even reaching the open door, Ron could already hear the loud bangs and piercing cries from the fierce battle going on there.

Instead of immediately jumping in, Ron took a quick peek inside the room to see that there were about half a dozen different battles happening in there making the situation extremely chaotic.

With the veil on the dias in the middle, the battle spread out unevenly on all sides.

The battle must have only just started because most of the Order members were still only halfway down the steep stone steps of the room. They were raining spells down on the Death Eaters while jumping from step to step towards the sunken floor.

Ron could easily identify who the Order members in the battle were through their distinct features.

Even though the Death Eaters outnumbered the Order Members, the battle was still even as some of the members such as Kingsley, and Mad-Eye were handling two opponents at the same time leaving members like Tonks to focus on handling harder opponents like Bellatrix.

'Ah! There they are...' Ron breathed a sigh of relief when he finally caught sight of the two teenagers crawling along the side of the bottom-most bench while trying not to get hit by the red and green flashes of spells flying by.
