THE ARREST

The news about smuggling spread out the campus and the entire vicinity, and the school Chancellor vowed to step down to support the police to fetch out those tarnishing the school's image. No one thought of the boy as a suspect as he created different versions of himself for his colleagues, to them he was a shrewd dude unlike the three.

On Saturday the four decided to have dinner at the restaurant nearby their campus as they normally do, on their way back Albert reminded them of the extra goods they need to deliver before the next Monday. They agreed to make their last delivery for the weekend to get full payment, the four went to their room, picked up the goods, put on their masks, and walked out to meet their buyers.

Peter waited outside to alert them of any intruder whilst the three went inside the dark hall to deliver the goods. After waiting for a while, he took his phone to check the messages he had when he left it on charge for the dinner. He saw an unread message from Beatrice, he opened the chat and murmured,

" Do you mind doing a video call I'm bored at home alone as my father is busily tracking down the smugglers with the cops"

"The cops? " he asked shivering,

the rhythm of his heartbeat started to beat at a high tempo after reading the message, he started to wander.

He thought for a second and decided to go inside the dark hall to inform his friends about the police operation on campus that night, on reaching the doorstep he heard Dave shouting " Terpe nur", this was the coded language they used. When the echo of the voice reached him he ran as fast as a hare back to the hostel panting, he off his cell phone, locked the door, and covered himself with a blanket. At that moment in his life he realized he went away too far that he forgot all the advice his mother gave him, the boy was scared about what might happen to his mother when she found out he was a smuggler. He thought of what his friend and neighbors would say when they found out, he wept bitterly and said a prayer for his friends.

A day after the arrest he visited his friends at police custody,

" Why did you let me go, " he asked,

" Because you never wanted to be part of this" Dave

"We pushed you into this " Albert.

The boy sobbed after hearing this from friends,

" once in everyone's life, he or she creates a memory that his loved ones will use to remember him, remember us for saving you from the cops but not for pushing you into smuggling " Cole

They told him to go and share about the effects of positive and negative influences on students to prevent others from going through what they went through.
