Training
Training with the clan head is awesome, at first; he gave me and Shikamaru a 2-hour crash course on theory, history, tactics and all those paper crap. Thankfully, I have the 'Eidetic Memory' perk, else; I would be suffering right now memorizing and understanding all of those. But damn it is really boring, and after the crash course, Shikaku gave us a test..... a friggin' written test! In which, responded a groan from Shikamaru, whom was almost nodding off while listening to Shikaku, explaining the 5W's of tactics.
I didn't dare to slack off listening to the subjects and the given test; especially that part when Shikaku exampled some situations with the application of some Ino–Shika–Chō formations as he highlighted the term 'Teamwork' to the finest, as I know this would be a very important in the future. And thankfully I saw the quest alert for the test quite early.

After the test, Shikaku proceeded to the 2nd part of our training, the Nara Clan Ninjutsus. He flicked open his bag as he rummaged for the proper scroll he would teach us. "Ah, there it is..." said Shikaku as he opened the scroll and passed it on me. I skimmed through it for a few seconds then I passed it unto Shikamaru of which garnered an affirmation from Shikaku.
"That was fast ..hmm.. Did you finish reading it Shiro-kun?" said Shikaku with a hint of amusement.
"Yes, Shikaku-sama. I'm done reading it." I replied with a blank expression as my attention was focused on the sudden pop-up as when I touched the scroll.

After Shikamaru was done with the scroll. Shikaku then taught us with his insights on the jutsu. He then prepared 2 dummies, one for me and another for Shikamaru.
Shikaku placed the dummies parallel to both me and Shikamaru. He then positioned himself at a certain distance by the east side of the dummies' position. "You guys observe." said Shikaku sternly as he made a 'Rat' hand-seal, 'Kagemane no Jutsu!'. We watched as the shadow of Shikaku extends unnaturally towards the dummy until it 'caught' the shadow of the dummy.
Shikaku explained that 'Once a user merges their shadow with a target's, the target cannot move on their own other than to talk. The only movements they are able to make are those that the user makes: if the user walks forward, the target walks forward and etc' as he elaborated it with his actions as the dummy followed the exact actions done by Shikaku.
"Okay then, you both can start practicing with your assigned dummies." said Shikaku as he canceled his jutsu on the dummy.
Me and Shikamaru then did our respective training for the next hours on our assigned dummies under the tight supervision of Shikaku, as he corrected a few mistakes on our hand-seal stance.
We practiced for hours until Shikamaru and I fully exausted our chakras. I mean ... I know I have a huge chakra reserve compared to Shikamaru but... I might have carried away also practicing the 'Kage Onoshibari no Jutsu' ..... hehe.
BUT !!! NEVER AGAIN !!!.... the 'Debuff: Mental Strain' is no joke ! Damn, I feel like I had a hangover for 3 straight days.... and with that, marks the end of our today's training. I mean.... look at Shikamaru over there, he was already sleeping by the bushes.
"Now now, today's training is done Shiro-kun" Shikaku said as he went to pick up Shikamaru. "The next training starts at 9 on the 3rd day next week" continued Shikaku as he made his way back to their home.
"Yes, Shikaku-sama" I replied while supporting my body weight on the tree next to the dummy.
I began making my way back home with a hand supporting my head, I chanted 'Status' mentally.

Kage Onishibari no Jutsu - Shadow Demon Binding Technique (Active) [Level 10 - 23.97%] - A Unique jutsu to the Nara clan, used to entrap enemies while shadow hands binds the enemy making them immobile. With the setting seal, crush a particular part in the shadow covered mark, costs 50 CR per use.
Shurikenjutsu (Passive) [MAX] - An absolute necessity in regards to being a shinobi, hurling anything sharp and shiny to the enemy. Kunai and Shuriken accuracy +100%
Substitution Jutsu (Active) [Level 2 - 47.65%] - The bread and butter terms of importance is to escape enemies. Allows you to exchange places with an item up to a medium sized log in weight to avoid an incoming attack, costs 10 CR per use.
