fix the UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE speeed speed speed speed......seriously get another translator please please please. You really cant expect people to keep reading 1 small chapter update with almost 0 story development once per month. IF LUCKY.

Don't let the picture fool you, the initial setting of this novel is literally "Ghost Hunting using Martial Arts" before it goes further into "Battle against Devils and BS beings" The lack of updates for translated chapters brings the score down. Otherwise, it's at least a 4. Romantic subplot, present but it's literally an ancient old hag. If anyone reads vampire knights, literally that's what all the nobles are in this novel who like to kill their own kind. system is standard and very nice compared to more recent complicated story's and their cheats.
Release rate is absurd, translator is probably a middle schooler and the author is moneyhungry and can't stay a single chapter without useless infodump. Overall a 0/10 complete waste of spirit stones, the only thing worse than this novel are the people at qidian (I use people here but I don't really mean it because if yoh work at qidian you're at best a moneyhungry coorporate lizard)
Deep Blue, the translator, is amazing. He works a regular job AND he translates for Qidian. As someone who has experience in translation myself (in Japanese, not Chinese), I can testify how HARD it is to translate stories. Yeah, machine translation is a thing. And there are plenty of ****ty translators out there. But translating something really WELL is hard as f***. And the chapters for this novel are deliciously LONG. Think about it. Deep Blue has to work his regular job so he can SURVIVE on a day to day basis, and he translates these chapters because he's NICE enough to feel responsible and not leave us hanging. I think they only get like $30 or $40 from one chapter? Considering the length of the chapters of this novel, that could be 4 or more hours of work. That's lower than minimum wage, at least where I live. Minimum wage is $10.50 here, and $14.50 up north. The cost of living here is ridiculous. $1000 a month would not be able to sustain you unless you had 2 roommates and had the cheapest form of healthcare and car insurance (here it is illegal not to have either) that was still being subsidized by your job. I don't know where Deep Blue lives but I guarantee you, this translating gig is something he does to be NICE, not to make money. So don't give Deep Blue s*** for being slow. He doesn't have to do this. He could just drop it. It breaks my heart to see a bunch of people giving Deep Blue s*** for not posting tons of chapters up a week. Some of their comments are extremely disrespectful. He doesn't have to do this. He only does it out of the kindness of his heart. That all said, this novel is really good. It has elements of horror, cultivation, comedy, and just overall goodness. I honestly thought it would be pretty lame, based on the cover art and the synopsis, but it turned out to be one of the most interesting novels on the site for me. I don't care if the updates are slow. There's tons of other novels to keep me occupied while I wait. Some of them are really good, you just have to find the ones you like. Why not try reading books from your own culture if you absolutely despise the other novels on Qidian? Either way, please stop being so disrespectful to the translator in your comments. Thank you.
This novel is really really good. But its about time to get a new translator. We get inconsistent chapter releases, when its supposed to be 5 chapters a week its maybe only 1-2 chapters, sometimes none at all. I understand he could be busy, but that just means he shouldnt be translating this. Im not trying to be an a** but im just saying i dont have 15 years to read a 1600 chapter+ book. If this was on mtl i would already hop to there. Im willing to pay for premium, as long as i can get stable releases.
This is one my favorite story in webnovel, I like how the world feel a bit darker than most lightnovel. Ghost and Supernatural entity is abundant in this story. It is a really well made world. The character is development is also quite good. The MCs that not interested in making harem is minority in Lightnovel World. Thankfully this is one of them. But, on other side it's also kinda lacking, hopefully the female companion of the MC can get more spotlight. If there is one negative thing about this novel it is the frequency of the translation. I really wish we can have daily release for this novel.
A good strory overall. The Mc is overpowered, but there are more overpowered People than him that make the Mc strike for more power. The developing story is very nice and make me more curious about the next chapter. I just hope that the update translation will become more fast and stabil. Cause you know that there are more chapter that we need to read.
Everythingnis good about this novel, from translation quality, story developement, character design and world background. No cliché that you would expect from a typical chinese novel. Should definitely give thisba try, its a hidden gem. My main issue with this novel is the stability ofnupdate, might be due to issues with the changing of translator and stuff but I think they just resolved it and will update once every other day, fingers cross!
I have already reviewed once. This is more of a wizard world type novel with biochip and all, except there are no wizards. More like martial artists and ghosts, couple of devil's too. While translation is very decent, the updates are not. If anything, the updates have gone from being stable to something you might-be-lucky-to-get sort of thing. Sad too.
This is really god. The MC is a blad muscle man, and not your typical beautiful man. This is not your typical wuxia (if MC is in wuxia world, he is the strongest man), unfortunately, this world is wuxia vs horror. This novel has supernatural spice. Sometimes, you will end up wondering whether you read a horror novel or cultivation novel 😂😅 Overall, this is good. But the translation stability of update is slow, so you better stock some story per week 😆😁
One of the great unorthodox cultivation novel with bit of horror. Here i see as mere human with cheat system little by little transform into the real Devil, and not only mentally, but physically too. And i really like how he will looks. Character interactions fine and romance development believable.
