Kidnapped

Standing atop the unconscious Morris were two men dressed in black wearing a black face mask covering the lower part of their face and black gloves. One of the men kneeled down near Morris and pulled out a filled injection from his pocket. "This should keep him unconscious for 5 more hours. That's more than enough time to get out of this city." He said as he jabbed the injection in Morris' neck.

The other man who was standing nodded and said "Number 70, we have been keeping an eye on this guy for nearly 3 months now. Did he figure out that he was being followed?"

"Nahh…I don't think so Number 82. We have bugged his house for months and also lived around here in this neighborhood for a while. He never showed any sign of being suspicious. He was so self-absorbed with his research and ranting about the people that he hates that he didn't have any time for anything else." Number 70 said.

"I guess it must be something else. Put him in a body bag and attach a sensor to his chest so that we can monitor his vitals at all times. Our mission required him to be alive until we got new orders. Till then…" As Number 82 was speaking, someone's voice came through his comms.

Number 82 touched his earpiece and said "We are here Team Leader…uh yes…he was packing all his stuff so we have knocked him out…no he is still alive. We don't know why he….uh okay…that's bad…yeah we can leave within 10 mins…yes will do."

After talking to the team leader Number 82 set a timer for 10 mins on his wristwatch and said "Number 70 seems like people at his workplace found out who he was that's why he was trying to pack everything and leave. Our orders are to leave within 10 mins."

"10 mins? We can leave in 5." 70 said.

"You don't understand…we also have to burn this entire place down. If he left something here then it better not get in the hands of anyone else. We need this physco all to ourselves." Number 82 smirked as he said that.

The two of them then put Morris' body in a black body bag and shoved it in the back seat of their SUV. They then took out two cans of gas from the back of their car and started pouring it all inside the house.

Number 70 also disabled the smoke detectors and the sprinklers so that they wouldn't trigger an alarm or stop the fire.

They made sure to douse Morris' study room in gas and started the fire. As they left the house, they looked back and saw that the inside of the house at started burning and within a minute or two the fire will reach outside.

"Let's go…our work here is done. The team leader wants to get him out of the city as soon as possible." Number 82 said as he signaled his partner to drive off.

As all this was happening, the children in the dojo were getting curious as to why Jared left in such a hurry with Maya's mom.

Chikara Dojo

"Now everyone take a break…we will continue after 10 mins." Colleen said as he waved the kids to stop their training.

"Sensei, can we check our phones?" Lucas asked Colleen to which she nodded. He immediately dug into his backpack and pulled out his phone. He kept scrolling through his phone when his sister and Maya walked close to him.

"What are you doing?" Lucia asked as she saw her brother frantically looking for something.

"I am sure if something happened that school then it must be on the group I have with the basketball team. They have kids from all classes in there and all the rumors and gossips are in that group." Lucas said without even lifting his head.

"I didn't know your brother was such a gossipmonger." Maya said in a teasing tone to which Lucia chuckled and said "Heh…he isn't doing this because he is a gossipmonger…he is doing this because Jared knows something he doesn't."

Lucas immediately looked up as soon as the word Jared reached his ears. He looked at his sister and said "Jared has nothing to do with this. I am just curios…that's all." Maya and Lucia didn't say anything and just giggled as they hi-fived each other.

Lucas kept scrolling and searching for a few more seconds and his face suddenly turned bright as he said "Here it is…Even though there was nothing on the WhatsApp group…the school's anonymous reddit page has a new post. Apparently, all parents who had kids in a particular class received a message and a few links. All of them were to expose the past of Professor Morris. Looks like this man had done some illegal experiments and people had died. It was all over the news many years ago."

Lucas then opened one of the links and showed the two girls the big blog that talked all about Professor Morris. Lucia was reading with interest and surprise while Maya was a little stunned.

'I had told most of this to Jared just a few days ago and now this is all over school. This can't be a coincidence. Could he have anything to do with this? I must talk to him right now.' Maya thought. She did get an inkling about something being wrong when she told about this to Jared but she never thought it would become front page news in her school.

She pulled out her phone from her backpack as well and called Jared but Jared didn't pick up.

"Pick up you idiot. If this has anything to do with you then I might just be tempted to use a real sword." Maya murmured as she called Jared a few more times but this time the call came in busy which mean that Jared was disconnecting the call himself.

Even after sending a few more messages, Jared didn't reply back. "Argh…this idiot. He never answers when I actually need him." Maya cursed in annoyance.

"What's the matter Maya?" Lucas asked as he saw her talking to herself. Maya turned around to answer Lucas but then her eyes shifted toward the Dojo gate.

Maya pointed at the gate and said "Sensei…there is someone here to meet you."

Colleen who was massaging her foot looked up and turned her hair towards the door. She just subtly nodded and then looked at Maya and the twins as she said "That's Danny…he is a friend of mine and he will be teaching you guys along with me."

Danny who just had a hoodie on him and with his messy curly hair didn't look like a sensei from any angle. Danny walked toward Maya and the other kids and said "Hi all, my name's Danny and I will teach you all how to fight with your fists."

"Oh…some actual hand to hand combat now. That sounds interesting. Have you also won any competitions like Sensei Colleen?" Lucas asked with excitement. Although he was a bit hesitant seeing the state Danny was in, he trusted Colleen enough to not judge a man based on the clothes he wears.

Danny scratched his head as he looked at Colleen who just smirked while looking at him. She tapped Lucas's shoulder and said "He never participated in any competition. But I assure you that his skills are the real deal and you will enjoy learning them."

Lucas glanced at Danny and turned toward Colleen as he said "If you say so Sensei. By the way, there seems to be some problem at our school…can I leave early today?"

Before Colleen could even Lucas a reply, Maya jumped in "I also need to leave for the same reason. Jared and my Mother are already at school and that idiot isn't picking up my phone."

"I'll accompany you as well then." Lucia said as she tied removed the hairband off her tied hair.

Colleen thought for a few seconds and said "Alright…I'll make an exception since this seems important but I won't be letting you guys off tomorrow."

"Yes Sensei" the three said in unison and immediately picked up their backpacks and left the dojo. "Since you are also going to the school, you might as well travel with us." Lucas said hesitantly.
