Tests

For the record, this slow process seems a lot slower than it looks. First, I had to be delayed for minutes before someone attended to me. His attendance came with questions that I can't give answer to.

"Okay here we go" The man said now sitting comfortably on his seat and I sit across him. "No need to fear. I'll just ask you some questions and we'll begin the process of knowing what Night Eye are you huh?"

I gave a nod as my answer. He checked a list of his paper racks to find some documents I guess. He seems to be a Emerald Night Eye because one could know with the colourful emerald green eyes of his. It's so cute.

"So, what's your name again?"

"Rory. Rory Vermillion"

"Rory Vermillion." He takes down my name. "Age,?"

"17. I'll turn 18 in the next four months" I Said giving an awkward smile.

"Huh, interesting. You know I happen to have a son of your age."

"Wow that's interesting." It really is. This figure standing right in front of me doesn't look like a father figure yet. He's so young and timid. His face tells of that too. "So, have you noticed anything different with your eye?"

"Nope. Although it twitches sometimes but after that, there's none that I could remember"

"Eye twitches happens all the times. Anything else?"

"That would be all"

"Okay. Have your relatives or friends tell you about a change in the colour of your eyes it per-say?"

Well I once remembered when O'Neil told me once that my eyes were changing but I find it an awkward saying because it's not that possible for my eye to change drastically. I am known to have a brown eyeballs and not with any colors stated.

"I don't think so doc"

"Doc? Just call me Chang"

"Hmm. Would that be all the questions?"

"Well if others pops up right in the way, I'll fire them to you but now, let's get the test going"

A part of me feels little bit ready for this world. I mean look at it, it has extraordinary features and I can't wait to get to know about my Night Eye, maybe I might be a Golden, or Emerald, or even the Sky Blue. All I know is that the Ruby and Silver are way out of my league.

"Walk with me"

I walked with Chang going to another level of the ground. This time, it was in a lab setting. Mostly I happen to find all of them as an Emerald entity. Most were on microscopes, some were facing computers, few were observing and testing, so much activities. Chang stopped to have a chat with one of the lab workers. In their conversation, I think they did talked about me because Chang and the guy looked at me for a moment. All these makes my hands sweaty.

"Okay, let's go"

Again we walked and then we got to a door. It was white in appearance and same with the inside. I saw other lab workers in there with some people who were not on lab coat, weird

"Lie here please"

I lied down on the white long comfortable hospital bed and crossed my hands in-between.Chang proceeded in wearing a nose masks and putting on a glass now. He also wore a hand glove and held a strange looking device with him.

"Would you open your eyes wild please?"

I widened my eyes and I felt a yoch on my eyeballs. It hurts me but I think it's part of the test. He looked further at every angle of my eyes and I think he found nothing.

"That's okay" Chang said and took some notes. "Do you know anything about building a tech? For example the LenoTech"

"What's a LenoTech?" I asked curious.

"Well I expect everyone on the surface to know about the LenoTech. Well mostly"

"I've never heard of that."

"Okay. Why don't we ask questions now "

I really don't get what is happening now. First he began with off questions that I don't even recognize an answer of them. They all seem new and fresh for me. My GPA while at the surface is so low, lower than a deem light. ..

"So you don't know the answer to the first man to..."

"Mr Chang, to be candid, I really don't understand any of this."

"Interesting" He said taking notes now which diverted his attention away.

"Is that all the test sir?"

"Well for now. I'll report back to Lyon and if you want anything, you can ask him. He'll take care of you and place you to the very best place. Once again, welcome Underground. "

"Thank you sir"

"Remember, I'll call you for more tests. Your tests isn't actually done yet."

"Kk. Um, where can I find Sir Lyon?"
