4: Training

The year Rai trained was not anything close to easy...

Rai got up from his bed, outside was still an orange color, 'this time period sure is different, I don't think they even had simple windmills back my day...'

After Rai changed and went outside his room, a guard was guarding the room, "You're dismissed Leonel," Leonel was one of Rai's guards, they had a sort of confusing friendship.

After eating his breakfast, Rai was looking forward to his training, 'it may be useless since I already know better techniques, but I have to pretend I don't know how to use the sword, just for a year,'

Rai walked into the training room and could see a cloaked figure in the training room.

"You're here early Rai!" The cloaked figure took off his cloak, a handsome middle-aged man face could be seen,

"I came early because I wanted to learn some extra techniques,"

The swordsman that would be training Rai is Jack. Jack was the teacher who taught him about abilities,

"What do you have in mind?"

"Rein Yan's technique of the nine-tailed fox, training 1,"

The swordsman's eyes widened, "Are you sure? Do you know what you will have to go through?"

Rein Yan made 9 techniques for the sword, the first two are basic training 1 and 2, the next techniques are 3-6, the main part. 7-9 are aura attacks that work well with the techniques. The technique is considered a 'B tier' and up training subject, for experienced warriors and hunters. The training was cruel. Basic 1, non-stop training for 6 hours, repeated for a year, every day, focused on strength and stamina. Basic training 2 is focused on speed, durability, and stamina, every day the swordsman would have to fight a beast a win by tiring the beast, luckily, only tier 1-5 are used. The training only had a 10-minute break every hour.

"No time to waste then," Jack replied,

For a cruel 5 hours, Rai did pushups, situps, and swung his sword at metal, the vibrations stung Rai's nerves and he dropped the sword,

"Pick that up!" Jack ordered,

Rai picked the sword up. Fueled by the thought of revenge and power, he repeated the training, until a bright blue screen distracted him.

Rai continued his training, ignoring the blue screen.

An hour later Rai still continued, "Don't hold your sword like that when you're in that position!"Jack advised,

Rai growled as his arms pained,

*DI-DI-DRING*

"Your training for today is over," Jack looked down at the collapsed Rai with pity, "You don't have to continue this you know,"

"I already started," Rai gasped, "I will continue tomorrow,"

"You don't need to come tomorrow, your body will be sore tomorrow!"

"I'll be fine," Rai gave a strained smile and stood up, using his sword as a cane.

The next day, Rai got up and got ready to face the harsh training again, he knew his body wouldn't be sore because he knew he was a vampire, Rai smiled at the thought, 'that sure was a gamble, I wonder, at what age does a vampire need blood?'
