Sir Rudolph

Marsaskala was quiet town, with a little less than five thousands inhabitants. It was originally a fishermen village, but over the years, it had grown into a prosperous town which benefitted from trading activities.

In this small town, there was one building that shined brighter than all of the others : the Lion Manor.

And all of its inhabitants respected its owner immensely. From their perspective, they were protected by the Steelguards, a legendary household which had contributed immensely to the glory of the empire, and more importantly, a house filled with talented magicians who inherited the legacy of the esteemed magi of old.

The city manor was very luxurious. Its gates were very high and mighty, not letting anyone see what was happening inside. However, past its gates, the garden was filled with numerous trees and flowers. Some of these trees were filled with fruits that could sell for a fortune, and came from very far countries.

These fruits were the reason why most of the Lion Manor Guard was of such a high standard. Each one of them was incredibly nutritious and could enhanve training results by leaps and bounds. They were not magical per say, but they were enticing enough for three knights to swear loyalty to the Lion Manor Guard.

One of them was the knight instructor Sir Rudolph. His build was very bulky, but his gaze and demeanour showed that he knew basic etiquette and possessed quite a refined character. He was skilled with the sword, and possessed a very warm heart. He was very liked among the new recruits, and his experience was well received. In other words, he was a pillar of the Lion Manor Guard.

Such a renowned man, who had already lived thirty years of service to the Lion Manor Guard, was flabbergasted.

"Young Master...You are saying that you wish to train? Did I hear right?"

The lazy young master, who always had a gloomy face and suffered from depression, the representative of the Steelguards that both intimidated the soldiers and earned their pity at the same time...The very same Greem Steelguard, who had been exiled by his family to this town, was asking for training.

How could Sir Rudolph, the knight instructor who had spent such a long time at the young master's side not see the difference in behaviour, demeanour and even aura?

Greem no longer looked like a depressed youth.

His grin, his clean face as well as his refreshed, even curious eyes all seemed to point to one conclusion.

Looking at Albert, the loyal butler who followed the young master everyone, Sir Rudolph continued his monologue: "Did a demon come to possess the young master?"

Little did he know, for this was exactly the case.
