Japan

A dignified country that garnered endless praise and respect from the rest of the world, home to a prideful people, rich in history and beauty. Reduced to a chaotic cesspool of political and social anarchy. Riots raged all across the country as protesters continued to cross line after line, and Japan was not alone this. Similar scenes were taking place all across the world and it was clear for all to see.

A new era had been born.

...

Dazaifu city, Fukuoka Prefecture, Kyūshū Island

24 year old Igarashi Kenta clenched his flaming fist as he broke through nine feet tall. Crimson scales covered his body, providing armour strong enough to protect him from the onslaught of bullets. Men and women dressed head to toe in expensive body armour rained hell down onto the beast in front of them. The JSDF (The Japan Self-Defence Forces) had been called in.

Shrugging off the damage he leapt forth with a roar. Fire engulfing his draconic frame Kenta's claw came down on the large Military vehicle in front of him, tearing it apart with his bare hands. Metal turned liquid under his blazing grip, he launched the pieces at the army, not even bothering to see the outcome of the attack before attacking another soldier.

Time didn't seem to matter in the heat of battle, everything just blurred together. He'd lost count of how many blocks were burning in the background.

*BOOM*

Kenta barely had time to register the noise before the wind was knocked right out of him. He was rapidly flung into the side of a building. Laying their for a moment the world around him spun, whatever hit him, hit like a truck. It went straight through his scales.

Despite the cities emergency sirens blaring like never before Kenta couldn't get back into the zone, his ears drums too far damaged.

A sense of emptiness filled him. Looking down he found the source. There was a massive hole going straight through his stomach, organs far too large and malformed to be human littered the ground behind him, creating a trail of blood and insides. The trail led to where whatever hit him landed.

Kenta quietly said his prayers, there was no coming back from that. Shutting his eyes he let darkness overcome him.

...

Secret Military Base

"Target down. I repeat target is down."

Ryusei Akiyama's eyes widened at the report. Was it really over? Had the tank done it? Snatching the radio from his desk he brought it up to his lips, "This is Akiyama, approach target with extreme caution."

The room was filled with around 30 different people, all in service of their country, along with large amounts of expensive technology. The personnel included a small number of individuals of a higher standing in Japans government and defence force. They had come to witness their soldiers engage one of the more noteworthy powered individuals that their country contained.

This was the fifteenth case in the last two weeks.

Japan had reached top ten in terms of numbers when it came to these extraordinary people.

It wasn't long ago they had received an influx of reports about a powered individual rampaging through the Fukuoka riots. Following the new procedure for these cases they began evacuating the city and sounded the alarms. By the time the first squad had arrived at the scene structures were a blaze and a small number of civilians had already died in the fires.

The yet to be identified target was a large man, he was at least six feet in height. Marking him down as a Pyrokinetic Emitter they had all the local fire departments work to stop the flames from spreading even more then they already had. Unfortunately with society as a whole on the brink of collapse they didn't have much to offer in terms of man power.

The operation had gone smoothly at the start. The enemy was announced as 'subdued' after being pelted with countless bullets. A text book success considering the lack of knowledge about these new breed of criminals. That was until the target suddenly got up and grew to seven feet tall. Now covered in scales, his flames had reached a new level as well.

Previously, through observation, it was clear he was limited to creating flames from his hands, whether this was from lack of experience or a biological limit was unknown. However in this new Transformation he was generating fire from any part of his body.

*KRRT*

Looking up in surprise, a trickle of hope filled Ryusei as the massive screen at the front the room started to flicker, receiving a signal from the soldiers body cameras again.

Tension filled the room. The crowd held their breath and watched as the lead soldier silently approached the downed target.

No movement.

A small grin broke out on Ryusei's face. It really was over.

.

..

...

....

His hopes were once again crushed. A thunderous roar like no other tore through the speakers. The last thing they saw before the signal was lost was a hulking, ten foot tall beast. No signs of damage at all.

...

Kenta felt his power strengthen continuously as he grew bigger by the minute. The world around him slowed, his ember eyes assessed the situation. He'd lived. A small chuckle escaped his mouth, not entirely human sounding, but its the best he could manage in this state. He knew his regeneration was strong, but this was beyond what he thought himself capable of. A brand new red tail that had broken out of his spine now threateningly swayed behind him. Curious.

Kenta had all but forgotten about the rioters that burnt down his house and started this mess, he had far more important things to worry about now. He'd already figured out what world he was sent to years ago when that glowing baby was born in China.

He knew it was only a matter of time before the world realised it wasn't a one off and more people with quirks started popping up. And what do you know? Ten years later and here we are. Society falling apart as people lucky enough to get powers used it for their own desires. Heroes didn't exist yet and the villains reigned supreme with nobody to stop them.

He couldn't believe it at first. Finding himself in the world of My Hero Academia, where it all began non the less.

...

The fight raged on as Kenta desired to see how far they could take him. His quirk seemed to function off of how much conflict he took part in. The more he fought the stronger he became. Unaware of this the government continued to deploy reinforcements after reinforcements, each time coming with bigger and bigger guns. However, whatever they threw at him would always be ineffective the second time.

He'd torn through more soldiers, tanks, Jets, helicopters and whatever else they tested him with than he could remember.

Kenta also didn't care about the dozens of civilians dying in the crossfire. Why would he? He himself had died before, and look! He turned out completely fine. Better then fine, sent to another world as a dragon-man!

Who knows what amazing afterlife awaited those people. At this point death had lost its meaning, and life had lost its worth. To Kenta, only in their second life could someone truly accomplish something, rather than living a mediocre one in this world where they'd probably pass away before getting a quirk.

Eventually, Kenta reached 23 feet tall. He'd transformed into a full blown dragon, wings and all. It became apparent that their efforts had been counter productive, and military withdrew all their forces.

Deciding not to chase Kenta took off into the air, leaving behind the remains of what used to be a small city. Everything had been demolished. Reduced to ash and rubble.

This was the day where the world truly understood what this new era of quirks meant. The day where one man single-handedly faced the might of an army and won.
