Chapter 11 - But it's too late

Evan cried all out. He tried hard to stop the flow of his tears. The more Evan tried to control his tears the more it overflowed. After crying for a long time. Evan stood up from the floor. And walked towards the door. He was walking like a soulless person.

After reaching the reception He  get out of the office and walked towards the bus station. He was exhausted, and suddenly a middle-aged person in a driver's outfit stopped him. And There was a Black cat parked near him.

"Please come with me sir. Boss ordered me to send you back ".  The middle aged man said.

Evan was surprised. But suddenly realised  that this person is the drivers send by Williams.  He felt irritated.

"I don't need it. I will go back on the bus." He said.

"But,.." the driver was about to say something . Suddenly a voice came from back.

"You don't need to worry madam. You are our future madam..so you can't just casually walk around or travel in a bus. '' Evan and the Driver looked in that direction. It was none other than the mighty secretary Morris.

"It's our duty to escort you safely back." Evan felt more irritated from this 'madem'call.

"You don't need to. I can go myself. And don't call me Madam. I am not." He said.

"But you will be in the future. And you are our Boss's fiance." Morris smiled then looked at Evan with curved eyes.

" You can choose to go by yourself . But if you didn't get in the car. I think this poor driver will be the one who faces the consequences." Morris said it with a serious face.

The driver looked at Evan in a begging eyes. Evan felt helpless. He knows that Moris isn't joking. And he didn't want someone else to lose their job because of him. He signed and opened the car door and sat in the back seat.

The middle aged driver hurriedly got in the car and started the engine. He drove the car out of the compound and  left the building.

Morris watched the Car disappear in the distance. And Looked towards the Window of the building's second floor. There stood a  person, looking at the direction of the car leaving and the golden framed glass shone in the sunlight. After the car disappeared. That dark shadow also disappeared from the window.

Seeing the shadow disappear. Moris shook his head and sighed....

"Haaaa..... My workload is going to increase. I need to tell him to increase my salary"He massaged his temple and walked into the office.

Evan was sitting in  the car looking through the window . When the car turned in the direction of his house. He saw the back of the person who he most wanted to see at the moment. His heart skipped a beat.

"Please stop the car." He said to the driver.

"Ha?!" Driver looked confused and looked at Evan through the rear view mirror.

"It's okay. I need to see someone near and also my house is not so far from here." Evan said as he tried hard to control his emotions.

"But madam.." the driver hesitated.

"It's okay. You already completed your job. I am already near my house. I can walk from here." Evan said in a somewhat impatient voice.

Driver thought something. How can he , a driver, argue with his boss's future wife? He stopped the car near the road. Evan Opened door and thanked the driver. Driver smiled back at this beautiful boy. Who looked very pure and innocent, just like an angel. Then he reversed the car and left.

Evan waited till the car disappeared from his eyes. Then run towards the person who he saw earlier. Hugged the person from the back.

"Ah!" Mathew who was attending a call. Suddenly dropped his phone because of the surprise. And the call ended.  He tried to shake off the person but after he turned back and looked at the person who was hugging him . He was surprised and also felt happy.

He then hugged Evan back . Two of them hugged each other for a while. Even though these two people loved each other from childhood. They never had any close skinship like hugging in their whole life . The maximum skin ship that both of them made was touching each other's hands.

Evan, who was devastated because of the early incident, forgot about everything that happened a while ago. And hugged Mathew tightly.

Mathew. Caressed Evans' head and whispered.

"Eve." He called Evan with a gentle voice.

"Mmm" Evan replied in a small voice.

Because they were hugging. Mathew didn't see Evans face , which was red and pale because of exhaustion from crying.

"You know. I was waiting for you to come back today. I received a call and  every problem my company had were solved and within a month  it will work  smoothly." Mathew said. "Now we don't need  to wait anymore." He kissed on Evans head, and murmured.

"I love you Eve. Will you marry me."  He asked in a nervous voice. Though he already knows the answer. But he still felt nervous about Evan's reply.

Evan should be happy after hearing those words which he wanted to hear all his life. Didn't get happy with these words. But it made him more sad. He tried hard to control his tears from flowing.

"Why...? Why didn't you said this before.?" Evan cried out. Mathew was surprised seeing Evan burst into tears. "I would have fought against, with everything I had."

"Wha.. What...?" Mathew looked at Evan dumbfounded. He didn't understand what Evan was saying. 'fought against what'

"I love you too brother Evan." Evan cried. Mathews' heart beat increased.

"But....But you are too late..." After saying this Evan's voice didn't come out. He was crying hard.

"What?" Matthew didn't understand what Evan was saying. But after seeing Evans crying face. His heart began to ache. He hugged Evans tightly . He felt very uneasy, like something big was about to happen. Which will influence his whole life.

Matthew suppress his Emotions And hugged Evan  tightly like he didn't want Evan to fly away from him. And  gently asked Evan.

"What happened Eve. Tell me, what happened to you.?" He caressed Evan's hair. And murmured in Evan's ears. "You know right. I will always be by your side. So tell me what happened to my love. What made you cry like this." Matthew cupped Evan's face and made Evan  look in to his eye.

After seeing Matthews' gentle look. Evan tried hard to suppress his cry. Matthew waited for Evan to calm down. He hugged Evan and continued caressing Evan. Just like reassuring a child.

After a While, Evan calmed down.  He freed himself from Evans' hands. And looked down on earth. And said,

"I..."
