Sikkim - The Hidden Paradise

After their mesmerizing journey through Jammu and Kashmir, Aadhvik and Sara turned their attention to the northeastern part of India. Sikkim, a small but enchanting state nestled in the Himalayas, was their next destination. Known for its pristine landscapes, vibrant culture, and warm hospitality, Sikkim promises a unique and enriching experience.

Their journey began in Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Perched on a ridge, Gangtok offered stunning views of the Kanchenjunga, the third-highest peak in the world. They visited the Enchey Monastery, a serene Buddhist monastery surrounded by lush greenery. The monastery's peaceful ambience and the rhythmic chants of the monks provided a perfect introduction to the spiritual richness of Sikkim.

From Gangtok, they travelled to Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake located at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The crystal-clear waters of the lake, surrounded by snow-capped mountains, created a breathtaking sight. They also visited the nearby Baba Harbhajan Singh Temple, dedicated to an Indian army soldier revered as a saint by the locals.

Their journey continued to the picturesque town of Pelling, known for its stunning views of the Kanchenjunga. Their exploration took them to the beautiful Yumthang Valley, often referred to as the "Valley of Flowers." They visited the Yumthang Hot Springs, known for their therapeutic properties, and enjoyed a relaxing dip in the warm waters.
